60 Days in the Clink.....

Thanks for the support guys and I was ratted on by the power company. It was a 5k barebulb setup and they came in like the god damn mafia tearing everything up looking for cash. I worked in a steelmill for years and had lawfully bought all my assets seized. The house was equipped with a smart meter and one of the employees at the local power co-op turned me in.... The power company is not even municipally owned. Guess they got a bonus for turning me in. I was growing for my wife and I. She has epilepsy and I have chronic pain from years in the mill. My wife was so freaked out over the whole deal she took our son down to her parents in Florida. Thanks to all that "Protect and Serve" you broke up my family and took everything that I have worked 10yrs for..... Law in my old state was 4 plants or under was a class "A" misdemeanor which after everything is what I plead too. Anyone that says that is too much power, it was a 5 bedroom house with 2 outbuildings on acreage.

A 5K setup to supply two people?

It's good to hear from you johndoe. You were knowingly breaking the law so please suffer the consequences responsibly.

Of course LEO doesn't care about plant count... They care about the amount. I once had between 50 and 75 flowering plants... in a 2 square foot area with a 150w HPS. I highly doubt it would have caused any more alarm than 2 or 3 plants in a similar sized space. Consider something of this sort in the future.

I hope you can be more careful in the future. Busts like yours not only harm you, but do not serve those of us who are working to legalizie the plant.

Yeah we ran 10k for 3yrs in a 3bedroom farmhouse with no problems... really upsetting to hear what those things did to you.

You leo or something? Why you need to know? 4 plants outside is not enough for 1yr supply.... hope that helps you out nosey

Nosey? He started a thread to talk about this. Why can't I ask questions?

What does four plants outside have to do with anything?

Why not let the person I quoted answer the question since that who I was asking?

How would a smart meter be more likely to incriminate you?

Theoretically they can distinguish signatures of different electrical devices. e.g. a 600 watt computer vs. a 600 watt grow-light.

Of course, there's the possibility of putting an air-conditioner on the same switch as a grow-light, so the smart meter sees the combined signature. Which might have some utility from a stealth point of view.

I think it would be good if IC Mag did an article on the subject. Actually measure & show the waveforms that the smart meter 'sees', and explain how to modify your signature to keep it stealth.

Isn't there a thread here saying smart meters are safe?

But anyway you definately had more than 4 plants, you don't need 5k to grow 4 plants, even if they are big ones. 1k at the most if they are big plants.
And you certainly wouldn't get 60 days jail and asset forfeiture over 4 plants, doesn't matter where you are. That is reserved for commercial ops.
You are spinning us a line of bullshit here.
Why not tell us the truth instead of wasting your time telling us lies which we don't beleive?
The reality is you got busted growing commercial.

Gotta love a Government that makes criminals of the people that pay their salaries. :)

All forms of Government from City to Federal are nothing but criminals. Organized crime, and the Rico act should apply to all of them. Let's not forget about the bankers. :)

Keep your head up man. I had a similar experience with six plants in a not so friendly state. They stole everything owned, Went to jail, then moved to Cali.

Your right about steel mill work being tough stuff. I was a 1st and 2nd helper in the arc shop. Oh no worries guys I ain't worried about the jail or the time. The county jail is small, hell the county itself only has 30k people in it. Not to mention I am a legend in there as the storage and seized items are housed in the basement. They put my ripe ass plants in there and that's all you could smell throughout the whole jail haha :)

I wouldn't mind hearing some more facts about smart meters. I know they are coming to my area soon and all this talk has me spooked...
