Really what I meant was people who are impressed by something that you have to wrap in three layers and can still smell in your pocket.... Could be mediocre weed, but because it stinks they think its the shit and they turn their nose up at some nevs haze....

I spent ages talking to someone about stardawg and how nice it was, when I stopped they said all they like is cheese and they are not interested in anything else.

Bag seed is seed picked out of a bag of chron you bought. "hermi" means hermaphrodite.

:wallbash:I've had some amazing Bag seed I grew out when I had no idea what I was doing.... Still regret not saving those beans for when I had more experience. OG Kush that hermed from the Tujunga area....:wallbash:

most bag seed is from self pollination aka hermies. however a small percentage of bag seed will be from actual males, i.e.: breeder is doing a project and tries to pollinate small branch and a few other plants catch a few seeds. those ones are the golden ones depending on who's bag you're getting. never know what the reason is behind the bag seed…until you pop them and get a bunch of hermies lol.

Awaiting a cut now. Name game strain. Most of us older heads see right through this name game. We seem to be more about the names that impart geographical information. This new phase of strain naming is educational because it illustrates the psyche of the buyer. Youngish Mall populating indispensable income upper middle class cable t.v. watching fast car driving youngsters. The kind that habitat the o.c.. drives the Ca. market (and N.J.) its hard to sell pot in Cali for $ to this generation, They want the 200$ nikes not the 50$ ones that their Gramps used to ball in. Maybe this is why dispensaries are valued and needed, with mature knowledgeable tenders to navigate this market?

I enjoyed GSC, not sure what cut but it is kinda lemon cookie tasting with notes of Ganja butter. Its fuzzy as all hell good for xtracts. Doesn't comatize me....yet.
c.p. is good too, does remind me of early 3a Asian, but did not finish calyxs well=hairs.

GSC will taste/smell unbelievably like mint/funk/chocolate. As far as saying that this generation has champagne taste buds, there a few reasons for this. Firstly, it's interesting that you mention strain names used to impart geographical information. This is true, but now that cannabis has been cultivated here for a longer time, and now that most of the 'highest quality' isn't square groupers, we have breeders here choosing some of the best varietals based on flavor and potency(primarily). People want to experience the best, especially now that the access to that is more readily available. In addition, the elite clone trade's access has increased. More people are getting access to amazing genetics, and we are seeing a fuck ton of hybrids. These hybrids have some of their origins in the Amsterdam seed-stock that once dominated the underground growing world(where the fuck else were most people going to get them? The indigenous source? Start their own seed stock?), but also have become their own thing completely.

This thread has taken off more than any of my other threads, it's ridiculous how much time people spend talking about this strain. Plenty of other strains out there guys, if I could shut this thread down I would because we should be focusing on other things instead of hype and drama. Go brew a tea or read a book, shit like that ya know? Let's get real here folks...

I did this to prove a valid point that cookie hype is a waste of time and it got 10k hits in less than a month... point, set, match :tiphat:

Instagram. Intentionalmisuse for a fresh pic of the cookies. We just harvested, I could give less than a fuck about hype. Cuts were gifted, I'm happy with the results.

I was handing out handfuls of the outdoor me and Schrews did last season at The Cup in San Bernardino. Gave some to a bunch of people, and everyone loved it. :dance013:

I appreciate the apology...no hard feelings.

See this is a common thing plaguing the forums. People assuming they understand or know someone else intentions - reading more into things than actually exists...

I've been guilty of the same thing myself on several occasions...

It used to be - we believed every person that was here shared a similar passion and desire to produce the best medicine possible...

Some how that has gotten twisted into - mine is better than yours - and that shouldn't be the motivator for participation. If praise from random strangers about growing a plant some how increases your self worth, I'd suggest there are much deeper personality issues that need to be dealt with.

There is no great contest / competition to be won. We each win individually when we improve our gardens and produce better medicine for ourselves or others. The world wins when we improve our ability to grow this plant.

ICmag is a huge coming together of people from all walks of life - with different goals and different agendas. You have people running fluros inside their dresser and you have people running 120kw in fully staffed warehouses...there is no place else like IC.

It's easy to get caught up and entirely miss the point of these forums - or to get sucked in and forget from time to time.

The important thing is we are able to recognize when we make mistakes and grow as individuals from it.

This community is only as good as we allow it to be...

Anyway.

Very well said Frank. :)

Just picked up the forum cut…this'll be my first stab at the infamous cookies...
