Okay here are some pics. What a fucking fiasco. All the problems with the camera cards, finally got some pics and didnt have an adapter for XD cards! Got that and found half the pictures had some weird thing where the image was kind of "split" in the middle. Then found that the lense was smudged leaving blurry spots in all my pics. On top of that I suck at photography so these all came out looking different, too dark, too light, etc. etc. I have no patience for finding the right settings to get a good photo... I ended up getting better shots just switching to the "flower" setting and using it as a point & shoot, even though it is a fairly nice DSLR.

Annnyyyway... first up is boring stuff - veg, clones and the 3 bubba kush S1's from seed

BKS1 - 1

BKS1 - 2

BKS1 - 3

1 & 3 are quite similar with 1 being a bit more vigorous. 2 is the runt.

Up next some Midas. The one of the back wall dried out for a day and suffered greatly for it. You can see how much better the one in the right corner looks.

Starting to foxtail a lot after 77/78 days.

Next up is left side. One SLH (left) and one Afghani Mango (right/corner)

mostly SLH here

SLH closer

Another SLH shot from when I was screwing with settings

Deathstar. This one sits right up front when I'm not taking photos and working in the flower chamber.

Lastly, some dried Deep Strawberry Diesel. About 2oz here. 2 plants totalled 5.4oz for about 2.7oz each.

Okay this all for now. I think I need to buy a nice simple point and shoot camera. Any suggestions?

The boveda packs work perfect??? I've heard the term godsend tossed around a lot with them packs

Yes they have been working great for me. I try to dry down to about 60% in my tent on the branch, break down into half gallon jars and toss in one or 2 of the 62 packs. Open once a week or so and always right around 60%. The caliber 3 meters I use are not the most accurate but I know I'm in the right range.

Hey man, I'm still lurking! :) lol

everything looks nice and I love the look of that DSD! Although I do tend to be a sucker for looks!

I hope when I get back to it, I can run a room that looks like yours! or at least resembles it a little bit..

D, I'd probably like to stay under $200. I know that's not much for cameras but in my case my phone camera still gets the job done so I can't justify a whole lot more than that.

Here's a few shots of the midas harvest taken with my Nexus 5

And no cheap shots about the beer! I love a delicious micro-brew as much as the next guy but the classics never die.

In that case I'd just grab whatever Nikon or cannon has the highest megapixels in your price range. Find one you like the looks of and check out it's reviews on amazon or something. Ease of point and shoot, and a good micro mode are probably what you'll want to look for most.

Thanks Adawg. 4/6 BATF F2 have popped tails so far. I'll start getting pics up and full documentation once they start putting out their first leaves.

Well once again I have become complacent in my grow and once again have fucked up. Nothing major, just some work down the drain and pissed off at myself...

I went down to clean the veg area the other night and had to move the clones while I worked. I just pop the top off the rubbermaid and lay it over the sink. 80% had roots so I was just going to wait another day or two before transplanting. Wellll while the lid was off and I was cleaning, of course the timer/pump for the misters kicks on and starts shooting water everywhere. I unplug the pump and finish cleaning, put the clones back and forgot to plug the pump back into the timer. 24 hours later all except 1 clone died. These clones were from the 3 Bubba Kush S1 seeds and my SLH. Since I saw 80% roots, I went ahead and started flowering the mother SLH/BKS1's. Now I need to take more clones off of them during stretch and hope I don't lose too much yield. The big problem is the BKS1 are not very branchy so hard to just grab a few clones off of. However, I do still have 10 seeds remaining I can search through if it comes to that.

Other bad news is that I only managed to get 2/6 of my testers for Alien Dawg to break soil. Not sure why I had such poor results both in getting them to germ, and also break soil once planted. Sorry Alien Dawg but I will continue to document what I can on these 2.

Some pics of round 6 which is just getting started.

DSD left, SLH right

BKS1 #1

BKS1 #2

BKS1 #3 (runt.. this plant has ZERO stem-wall strength. I accidentally knocked branches off it just moving it around like normal)

Check your RO water!

Check your RO water!

So I think I may have found part of the problem regarding the difficulties I've been having lately. Been seeing slight deficiencies and stretchier growth and just a general down turn in quality. I decided to go back and read up a bit more on Jacks 5-12-26 and how people were using it. I knew the "golden ratio" of 0.67... but I never understood how you measure by PPM (as opposed to weight) because you would screw up whatever target PPM you hit when you adjusted the pH later. Then it FINALLY sunk in that people are *not* adjusting their pH with Jacks and RO. So delta9nxs posts here https://www.icmag.com/ic/showpost.php?p=4054260&postcount=6 finally made it clear to me how to do this.

So I am all excited, head to the grow room to mix up fresh nutes... and my RO water is reading 300ppm! Welll fuck. I backflushed for a few minutes and saw no change. I forgot to backflush regularly and I've been running the filter for over a year.

Just ordered a new membrane, sediment and carbon filters along with an inline TDS meter so I can keep an eye on what's coming out of the filter at all times. Time to get things back on track around here!

Took some pics last night. Waiting on my RO parts.

Harvested/trimmed 1 SLH and 1 Afghani Mango last night. Here's some shots of the AM, forgot the SLH.

Small update

Small update

Thanks GGW, I'm glad you have enjoyed the pictures and information. I feel that giving a good impression of the space and layout of a grow is just as important as the information on nutes, additives, training methods, etc. For me and many other space is a premium and people can't fully grasp why certain decisions are made until they can clearly see the area you are working with. For many others, space is not a real consideration and they can focus on other aspects besides square footage efficiency.

Update: So things are back on track. RO filter has been rebuilt with new membrane, sediment and carbon filters. Added the inline TDS meter so I can easily check the status of the filter. The pump died on my cloner and I lost yet another batch of clones :wallbash: So I got a new 500gph magdrive pump (overkillll) and re-built the manifold using PVC instead of 1/2" drip irrigation tubing. Took a bunch more clones off the currently flowering plants as part of the thinning/training process. Defoliation will proceed over the next week or so with pics to come. I am running behind schedule on plants to fill the left side. Depending on how many clones I get rooted and how quickly I may try and go with 16 plants on the left side next round to cut down on veg time.

Tap water in

RO water out

New cloner pump/manifold

New set of clones. 1 row each of: SLH, BKS1 - 1, BKS1 - 3, DSD, and Deathstar (not pictured, taken later).

Those tips on the harvest pics look like Mg deficiency to me - I looked for nute burn along the edges of the leaves. Looks like there's a bit of that too, but the tips is really characteristic of Mg.

Edit: just read up. Yeah having your water come in at 300 ppm if you were expecting RO could do it easy, especially if most of that's Ca from old pipes.
