cuban black haze x bug sur holy bud

Wow!

TPFTFW - Nice looking plants. I especially like the looks of this one:

yoyo011_zps12d661d3.jpg

I look for leaves that look like that one coming out of the bud in the center due to experience with top notch bud from way back in the old days. Is that a Cuban Haze leaning one?

Nice Job,

ThaiBliss

Hi amigos, a Mullum x Thai'78

Cures to Gold after 9 months.....

Have a friend who grew up in the 60/70s in San Diego and moved to Australia a few years ago. We shared a small one paper of MMxThai'78 among 5 people recently. Next time we met he said, "Man what was that shit we smoked? I couldn't sleep for four days. You wouldn't happen to have any more?"

A statuesque one from last season

Just to touch on the high. First of all the Mullumbimby Madness is a sweet tasting sativa that can have a soaring, euphoric effect with glowing visuals, and a deep sense of spiritual communion. In combination with the Thai'78, the taste becomes earthier and the high becomes clearer and more cerebral. This can lead to some profound introspection and even insight, but if you don't have your shit together it can definitely produce some anxious self analysis. That is to say, if you're in reasonable health and your subconscious is free of shit, then it can be a remarkably blissful experience, but dark areas tend to be exposed with a spotlight hehe.

This is a really great post bushweed. Have you heard that song by Lee Scratch Perry...its called bush weed. It makes me think of plants that look exactly like that. I hope that I get to post a few pictures of giants someday.

Until then I have to control the size...shucks.

Oldtimer's Haze @ ~10 weeks:

Look at the stretch on this Destroyer x Malawi! :jawdrop:

Edit: in the first picture she is on top of a chair. The second picture she is on the ground. Look at the top relative to the bamboo stake!

Bear_Riot - great growing skills bro, those haze and Meao Thai x Malawi's look excellent!

Yes I'm familiar with Lee Scratch Perry and I have an ironic story. I recently swapped some seeds with a seed co. They mated mine with some of theirs, and asked me what would I name their cross? You wouldn't believe my reply. Can you guess?

Lee Scratch Perry.

Such is the nature of reality

By the way my favorite Scratch album is called Bushweed Corntrash.... amazing what liberal amounts of 'Colombian Colly' did to Reggae music.

Here's a male NHz x Thai'78 leaf

Heya bigherb, thanks bro. Actually the one Kariba x Nhz I tried from my neighbor definitely had the full Frankincense flavor, and was very relaxing, but not fire as you say. However that was a small sample to go on and due to some heavy rain it wasn't finished properly. I'll revisit the Kariba at some point. How's your quest going? Do you still take the train uptown to get your haze??

Great to hear, I think its a first report of the frank in his new lines/hybrids. Nevil mentioned she would carry the trait. This gets my mind thinking about (Geno/phenotypes) .You know im off wit the terminologies but I believe the environmental factor of your local Brings out the Best in these Sativa/S.hybrids

I think the Kariba is special ,I love everything that has been said about it . Id love too see what you could do with her Pure

Still searching
I got a gift i will attempt this summer that is special an can carry the Trait . .I need to crack some dank sinatra but want more Nevil Haze in my life its been awhile.
I have limited options in this fish bowl i gotta move into the ocean

Things done Changed ,Im not really a train guy these days

Here's a NHz x Thai'78 leaf from a vigorous male I have. Very different leaves comparing lowland to highland Thais

Ahh thats great, I would love to try some high quality LeeScrachPerry... What were the genetics?

What is NHz? That leaf is great. Larger number of shorter blades than mine. I am questioning the genetics in mine, hoping very much that she is the daughter of malawi...I have never seen a pure thai leaf, and I dont have a good picture of the malawi father. The destroyer pheno I pollenated was very thai expressive, wispy foxtail buds. Here she is flowering :

It's that fan leaf I like.

When I was a kid, and Thai Sticks made regular appearances, I kept trying to grow them without success. I did not know what I was doing, and Thai can be one of the most challenging strains to grow in a temperate climate. I remember noticing that there were a few different looking Thai strains. The biggest fan leaf coming out of that bud of yours looks just like the one I refer to as the fat leaf Thai. The serrations of all the Thai strains had the extremely jagged serration characteristic, but most were really skinny leaf. B.T.W., I have only grown Thai weed successfully once. It was after I had a number of Indica and Indica x Sativa crosses grows under my belt. It was the first time I ever grew using high intensity discharge lights that I was successful with the Thai. I stupidly let that strain slip through my fingers. It was the last imported Thai I ever smoked.
:wallbash:

Can't wait for a smoke report. I know a lot of people looking for that Cuban Black Haze.

Regards,

ThaiBliss

Colombia Collie was the theme music that came with the Gold Colombian, the sound track.
Hey bushweed have you ever listened to this one? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NHiyd3LxlI8
Lee Perry is the real thing, got to smoke with him a couple of times, he smoked a coconut chalice I made once while doing his first show in San Francisco.
Man skinning these red snakes is kicking all kind of old dude memories off. I remember that album and a lb. of lumbo coming into my possession at the same time, burned both into my brain.

That's a great story Randy. You must be one cool cat to light up with Scratch. That song reminds me of "Cow Thief Skank". I also loved Horsemouth's star turn in the film, Rockers, I'm sure you're familiar with the intro featuring the Abyssinians and their smoking chalice, but here it is for the uninitiated...

I wonder if you were at this Dennis Brown gig in Monteaux in 79? The batucada dub section at 3:00 is so rhythmical I'm not sure the white kids knew what to do with themselves...

By the way lovely Red Snake Randy, I hope it may be that 1+1=3 cross Charlie talks about. Great to see him revisit these old classics with such patience and fortitude:dance013:

something I did last time I was in the jungle - MM/Thai, Highland Thai and Afropips Malawi - not easy to see, but each has 9 fingered leaf shape...the darkened Thai leaves are due to moth shit, what can I say they like the Thais.

Dennis Brown Montreux, great album!
Don't know how cool, I think just a lucky S.O.B. lol
I love the movie Rockers that movie it true to life Ja.
When people ask me what Jamaica is like, I tell them it's exactly like the party at Jack Ruby's house, the part where Horsemouth discovers his bike is gone. Wild and crazy but loads of fun.
Lee Perry has made some of the best music to get high by that has ever been created, I got ALL of it, he's definitely one of my musical hero's. I been skinning red snakes to his music all day.
Thanks for the compliment, I bet it would be fantastic grown in a spot like yours.

Good to see you posting Bushweed, outstanding sativas as usual!!
:woohoo:

Actually thanks everyone, this thread is just awesome, instructive, inspirational, etc...

I´ve just put some sativa mothers outside in the greenhouse (39ºN), trying to get them ready for a spring harvest...temps range from 6º-7 ºto 13º -14º C these last days and nights. Definitely a warm winter in South Europe.

Original Haze, Titans Haze, Tijuana, Reina Madre, NL5Haze/SD, etc...
