Hey Nspecta...great thread...are you still running all four of the the 06 cuts? What was your final verdict on the the 3? Was the 4 the true gem of the bunch in your opinion? Thanks for your time.

Dang ol' timer...isn't there a statute of limitations on threads like this...dug this one out of the graveyard. :scripture:

Thanks by the way...kind of a walk down memory lane...I feel kinda bad though, I was a bit rough on Jdog, coulda prolly used a bit more tact & been a lil nicer. :chin:

As fer yer ?'s...back in mid-late '07...I had a label mixup and ended up throwing away the #2 cut (which had by that time become one of my favorites of the bunch) and I accidently kept the crappy #1 cut which I passed out to several folks labeled as the #2 cut...later, when grown out, we discovered the mixup but is was too late by then.

The #3 while being the most herm prone of the bunch is also the cut that most closely resembles the '91 ChemDawg SVA cut...predominantly in terpene profile & flavor.

The #4 is by far the overall standout of the bunch to be sure.

However, like I've posted elsewhere...based on growing the CD #1-4 , '91SVA, D, Sis, Etc. extensively...I highly doubt they are all sister cuts or were beans from the same bag. I honestly think most, if not all, the CD #1-4, D, & Sis are hybrids of the SVA '91 ChemDawg. So, if my theory is correct, any number of potential exceptional hybrids are possible utilizing the original '91 ChemDawg cut.

Just to clarify...the ChemDawg #1-4 that Joe Brand grew out are without a doubt all sister plants...they just don't match up with the '91, D, or Sis.

The First ChemDawg #4 I grew...back in 2006.

That looks like chem 4 done properly Nspecta, it woud be good to see some breeders work more with this strain. It comes out good in the StarDawg, 4SD, and I've seen some nice phenos come outta moscas Chem4 x Otm.

Cheers kit-

Sucks about the #2 sounds like she was some good smoke. Does she still exist anywhere?

Sadly I'm 99.9% sure the ChemDawg #2 is gone forever...maybe one o' the point one percenters can prove me wrong. :dance013: Some fool mighta made a hybrid or two with her before he lost her...don't know if those seeds are still viable though...they are over seven years old and have only been kept in a cooler at room temp, from what I hear of course. :wtf:

@ nspecta I've heard you mention that about the 1-4 being sister plants but not related to the 91,sis or D. Whereas I find the sis similar in growth and terps to the D, the leaf shape seems right, and the 91 is clearly related to ECSD. The picture #4 above also looks chemmy to me, although I have not grown it yet. Crossing all the dogs together(like JJ did) produced some killer plants, stardawg, tresdawg, etc.
Maybe there where 2 pollen donars in the orginal 12 seeds that where found in the pound of dogweed ? unlikely but possible.

Haha no doubt, I saw pics you had a while back of a cut called Lemon G. Do you still run that cut?

I do agree the D & the Sis have similarities to each other but they sure don't look like sister cuts to the '91 or the 1-4. We prolly will never know for sure but I know I don't believe what we've been told.

The Lemon G I ran I believe turned out to be another cut known as Skunk Misty...just another example of mislabeling and folks not having a clue what they are growing. The pics of the real Lemon G look killer...the Skunk Misty, not so much.

@ nspecta, For sure, So many "holes" in the Chem story, First off there was a male, then no males , then 2 males...lol... If they cant even get that right how the fu@K can they get the females right.
Something I had not seen was that old ('06) Chemdawg D thread that Chemdog himself started, Hidden in that thread he even says he got it off jerry and never told anyone, lol weither he was joking or what?
One thing is for sure, the '91, D and Sis are some great strains and the taste is quiet unique. Can't comment on the 1-4 as I've not tried it.
Peace

Nspecta, thanks for the quick and interesting response. Do you think its possible that Chemdog G gave Joe B chem hybrid beans instead of four of the originals from '91? Have you yourself ever selfed the 91 chem sva cut, and if so what kind of interesting things have you found in those beans? Again, thanks for your time.

On another note, not to get too far off track, but because i do not have pm capabilites as of yet, Im curious what are some of the latest or newer varieties you have acquired, that excite you, have special qualities, or have made selfed or hybrids to explore through. Basically Nspecta, what have you been upto lately or in the last few years?

thats too bad about the #2...bet youre kickin yourself about that one....did you ever get a chance to run the 3 a time where she didnt hermie?
