If you're providing "patients" you should give it away, like I do.

Compassion,not capitalism!

refusing to vote for folks to get what help they can because you aren't going to reap the most benefits from it shows loads of compassion.

Wrong,it's either the right and fair way,or nothing at all.

Reap the most benefits lmao,I grow for ny and my families meds, and a few others that are terminally ill.I give it away,no charge,no circumstances. The only benefits I reap are smiles from those in need and the many thanks I receive from them,as well as ppsotive vibes.

then why be against it, those folks smiling at you are the ones that its supposed to be for. there are many more that get no help from you that need this to pass, fuck em right?

No not fuck'em!

I just know that those I give care to would rather have my meds because they know first hand how it was grown, they know it's properly flushed, and that no pestecides were used, etc.

right on bro. be thankful someone you love doesn't have to needlessly suffer due to no meds and not everybody has family that would grow for them.

I hope you do not depend on cannabis daily to alleviate a medical condition like I do so for me a bad law still offers me some protection from the smell of cannabis burning or being in possession causing you troubles w/leo.

besides I will never be able to afford dispensary meds so ill grow my own.

I can understand that but without this the rest of the folks here will go without or continue breaking the law to medicate. once it passes home grows & decrim will be right behind it. and I really fail to see how penalties will increase for us, I think it'll become a very low priority unless other stuff is going on, hell busts are down all over the state already it seems

Well Morecheeba, don't let me see you whining about how it fucked everything up,and now you're doing more time for cultivation since the penalties of cultivation will more than likely be more severe after ya'll vote this in.

Don'tvrush this shit, make sure it's being done properly (WHICH IT IS NOT!)!

more severe than now? lol unpossible. i think one plant gets you 5 min doesn't it? lemme go look at the law again.

http://blog.norml.org/2014/01/27/fl...-allow-medical-marijuana-amendment-on-ballot/
The official ballot language can be seen below:

Allows the medical use of marijuana for individuals with debilitating diseases as determined by a licensed Florida physician.

Allows caregivers to assist patients’ medical use of marijuana.

The Department of Health shall register and regulate centers that produce and distribute marijuana for medical purposes and shall issue identification cards to patients and caregivers.

Applies only to Florida law.

Does not authorize violations of federal law or any non-medical use, possession or production of marijuana.

don't know bout you but the fact that i sound like a bowl of goddamn rice crispies all day with all the constant snap crackle and popping of my joints i have to do to keep myself from being in absolute pain. i think i qualify. how bout you? and the important part of that last line is the part where it says non medical. i knew i wasn't crazy about what i had read. spread the vote my nwords.

You guys did see it passed thru the court for the language right?

4-3 vote.

Of course our great gov Dick Snott had to put his two cents in on the subject.

all this talk about no home grows bein the deciding point is silly cuz as of right now u cant do it either and have 0 defense n court yet we all still do it. atleast with a med law u have a way to justify ur actions n court if ur busted
also where does it say that home grows are banned??? yea it dont authorize a plant count for patients but it says i can posses marijuana and last time i checked the plant itself is marijuana technicalitys are a motherfucker in court also how are they gonna bust me for growing now?? cant get a warrent on smell nomo cuz im allowed to have erb as long as ur not tryn to run a fukn farm i think ull b ok
do i love this law nope it could be alot better but it is also worded vague enough to give any lawyer a great fighting chance which they dont have now it also opens the door to a law like in Colorado's for us alot sooner than if this doesent pass

just my :2cents: if it makes it to the ballot it WILL pass

stay safe

Wow, I haven't seen this thread this active in ages! Hope everyone is well!

The fact that we get to vote on this issue blows my mind - what I'm really interested to see is how much money big pharma will spend to try to defeat it. You don't threaten big businesses biggest customer base and think they won't fight back with every resource they have.

If you really believe that this bill is important and should pass, you should concentrate on building a defensible argument that a non smoker would accept as fact and then start educating everyone you know or meet about it.

The longer we have to do this the better, 'cause when it comes down to election time the lies and pure bullshit will flow from your TV like a tsunami. Remember, this is the citizenry that was stupid enough to elect rick scott governor in the first place SMH.

No legislation will be perfect for most of us, but as Cali has shown us, medical acceptance leads to tolerance in the general community and makes it easier on recreational smokers as well. If you're a cropper, well that's a unique set of issues and always has been.

Just think about all the crap this is going to set in place.

I WANT TO SEE THE WORDING OF THIS BILL,NOT THE ONES BEFORE IT THAT FAILED AND ALLOWED HOMEGROWS!

DON'T VOTE BLINDLY YOU MORONS!

1. Now that it has been approved to be on the ballot it is an amendment NOT a bill. Read the petition for the wording.
2. I NEVER vote blindly.
3. I don't consider myself and those who post here as adults as morons.
4. I hope you change your mind about voting. Would you really deny those in need the option of legal access for their medical needs? However limited that option might be. Laws are amended and changed all the time, and this is a prime example of that.

Interesting comment/information

Interesting comment/information

I found this in a Q&A about the FL amendment. Not sure if the author really is guessing or maybe has some inside information. The "any growers would have to be licensed as a treatment center." Does this maybe open the door for personal grows or possibly a collective type thing?

Where would medical marijuana be sold?
Only at state licensed dispensaries called "Medical Treatment Centers." Treatment centers would also grow or acquire the product and any growers would have to be licensed as a treatment center. The Department of Health would issue rules about how many dispensaries would be allowed and how they would be monitored. Patients could not legally grow their own pot.
