Clear strain recommendations

What strains would you guys recommend if one is looking for the clearest strain possible, with reasonable flowering times (up to 14 weeks)? I find these are quite rare, perhaps because those particular pheno's are rare or not favored for some other reason. Or maybe harvest timing is essential.

I got my eye on some already:

- Bangi Haze. This one I will grow 99% sure.
- Satori. Seems to meet my criterium, and it's interesting because it's not a 100 % sativa
- Kali Mist. Lots of talk about too much indica in the current batches. I have some commercially grown that is pretty good, but I don't know it's origins. Western Winds is a lesser known alternative.
- Hawaiian Snow. I had some a long time ago, kind of what I have been searching for ever after. I am not a big GHS fan though.
- Mixed reports on Thai crosses like Golden Tiger or Destroyer.

Comments on these strains and additional recommendations would be most welcome.

kali mist and most of the hazes are good choices. really there alot of sativa, sativa dominant strains that will work well. tw is my keeper for that neccesity. blue dream is another one that comes to mind as well as other members in the blue family. BD is great for mornings and daytime, very up, energetic clear headed high that puts you in a positive place.. these strains i take to about 9-10 weeks particularly the blue dream, and tw is closer to 9 weeks while the kalimist is a solid 10 weeker while the hazes can go up to 14 and more so in someonstances you have to pick a keeper clone that finishes way under 14 weeks or yields really well to make it worth it. i agree with you and ghs. way overpriced for what you get. thats said, what is your situation? do yo live in a state where there is medical or recreational? do you have access to cuts or are you a seed man only? f13 is another good one from dj short. also a bit expensive but you will probably find a keeper. im looking into some tga seeds genetics like vortex and jack the ripper. supposed to be uber potent but clear headed sativa highs, they have a few other im looking into as well.

super silver haze, or silver haze, and there are a couple other mandala strains besides the satori, which by all accounts is a good one for what you listed. all these strains will finish well within the 14 week window you had, most of them finishing in about 10 weeks on the outside. are you growing indoors or out? all strains listed will work in both situations

I can only speak to the Satori. I had 3 phenos from 5 seeds. They're all very good, but the narrower leaf christmas tree sativa pheno has the clearest effect with the most power. 70 days, cloudy trichomes, only a few amber or clear. Sativa pheno has strong stretch, more than doubling in height.

This grow will mostly be Royal Flush, a hybrid of Oaxacan Eldorado.

Should be a strong up high if my memories of Oaxacan are accurate.

Cindy 99 is worth a look. Mosca does a bx that gets good reviews but the seeds are sold out for a while. Vortex is a C99 hybrid that also fits the bill. I ran it outdoors once, didn't yield well but it was quality smoke. It wasn't super potent but clear, pleasant, giggly. TGA strains are often a crapshoot with a lot of variation but vortex is def one of his better ones.

I smoked some Ace panama last week, excellent stuff.

God Bud has that effect. (probably due to the hawaiian indica in it)

I got a Cannabiogen Panama in its final days, which has a relation to Ace's (can't remember what). Bit confused on the pheno, as it's got red hairs but no discoloration on the buds.

I found the popular and relatively fast flowering hazes and haze crosses like SSH, SLH and Blue Dream are not what I am looking for. They have the up and soaring high alright, but they also cloud the mind, kind of like brain static. The clarity I am looking for one feels in the top of your head, it's like you are more awake and alert than normal - it's beyond functional so to speak. You could almost forget you are high.

I grow recreationally and only have access to seeds.

How many sativa pheno's did you get from those five? Due to space constraints, I will probably start with 3 seeds per strain, eventually selecting one to finish. (four strains total, so 12 seeds). I'd like to know my chances.

Tried C99, awesome in the aroma department (pineapple pheno), pretty good high but definitely not clear.

Clear strains generally don't produce anxiety, but an anti-anxiety strain is not necessarily clear IMO.

As relic said DJ Short F-13 is a great clear strain. Certain plants are clearer than others, but all have a nice comfortable clear sativa high. F-13 is quite focused yet still has a strong enough high. Then on top of that the tastes and smells are amazing. Awesome earthy, hashy flavors with hints of sweetness and skunk. While the plants aren't huge by any measure, most are done in 60-70 days of flower. I Highly recommend F-13!

seeds of africa durban is looking exactly like what you want. i ran 2 packs, found 2 keeper very sativa females; #1,#3. seeds just matured enough to pop the ladies and do initial test smoke. both very energetic, euphoric feeling, subtle yet powerful potency. #1 has some purple in the buds, #3 was very pretty and frosty. seeds of africa has some very great potential imo yet they need quite a bit of further in line breeding work; kinda like real seed company's strains. excellent indegenous genetics provided, further work needed from the grower.

seeds of africa also yielded out of two packs one very nice up energetic and psychoactive malawi gold female that i'll continue some in line breeding with.

if you go soa i think you need at leat two packs of the durban, zamal, malawi gold to find a couple keepers to continue working with.

ace and cbg do a lot of in line breeding work before they release their strains. if you want a landrace sativa ready to go then ace/cbg get a lot of positive endorsements.

on mandala's satori, i've found indica and sativa phenos to be aout 50/50. the indica's high is muddled. according to most grower's reports you are looking for the sativa "spear" pheno.

Two packs are too much for me. There are more inbred versions of DP, but I highly suspect they got some skunk in there, despite claims to the opposite (yes I am looking at you, Dutch Passion!).

I am a big fan of Ace and CBG, hence the Bangi Haze. Perhaps more, if I can get assurance they might provide what I am looking for. Satori keeps looking better and better though.

MostlyMe- of the 5 Satori seeds, only 1 was the sativa pheno, 1 was a short voluptuous indica pheno, 3 were med height stretch indica phenos. Of those 3, 1 was male.

It's too small a sample to draw any firm conclusions, I think.

Satori is one I've been wanting to try Jhhnn. BTW, Co = Company CO = Colorado

Ghost Train Haze #1 had an exceptionally clear, clean high~ somehow strong yet gentle at the same time. It made me feel like I was levitating.

Apollo 11 and Super Lemon Haze also have clear highs, IME

It may be off topic, but the clearest strains I've loved are the ones I only take one toke of. Really shows you the nuances of the variety.

Besides that, DJ's Grape Krush somehow made being outdoors an exceptionally "clear" experience, at least visually. Colors were brighter, contrasts more "sharp". Highly pleasurable.

Dingdingding! We have a winner. Beyond the Brain sounds exactly like what I am looking for, more so than Satori. I'll go with Bangi + BTB as my clear choices.

Beyond The Brain is very nice - daytime, happy, clear, a bit of a philosophical edge. Tasted a bit earthy but it's such a very refreshing high that it doesn't bother me.

If you are looking for clear energetic/euphoric high with no comedown or any stone or narcotic effect, then welcome aboard mate! It will be a tough trip but we'll reach our destination sooner or later!

If this is this case, I would definitely forget about anything with skunk and comercial strains unless it's a clone from a specific and very special selection. For example some old clones of Haze X Skunk, Mango Haze or even Jack Herer if you want... although skunk or afghan genes means normally some kind of come down after the initial clear or euphoric high. And seriously, C99, Lemon Skunk and all that stuff is quite far from having a clear sativa high if you ask me. One of those you almost don't realize until you see yourself cleaning the house, talking non-stop or doing a crazy Soul Trail line in your sitting room after a nice dinner with your friends.

Anyway, some great suggestions, I would say also Congolese and some African strains or South Indian and South East Asian. Another great source will be the underground spanish seedbank Original Delicatessen, they have the best balance between fast, clear and tasty fruity sativas (african genes mostly and even a '79 mexican from R. Clarke, and the only fast plants I've tried that keep the clear and energetic high). Some good reviews on Zamal crosses (Zamaldelica maybe) and Panama, Mextiza or Red Snake from CBG. OT Haze and Meao Thai crosses as well... White Magic from Mandala would be much better option in my opinion than Beyond the Brain, Satori and Krystalica are renowned also but I would definitely stay with the congolese, based on pure experience with this pure caffeine strains. Colombian Black was around as well and has great reviews but many Colombians have a warm comedown.

Although like with any other strain, you need to look for the winner pheno because this grail we chase is quite elusive and statistically difficult to find. Of course, certain genepools increase the chances of finding the gold but it's really a matter of trying! Chopping time and curing also make a big difference but I think that's the best path to choose.

Like a friend said, back in the days weed used to be something to get you high, comparable to LSD and stuff like that. A substance to enhance your activities, senses and perception... nowadays on the other hand (and after all the afghan genes came to the scene in the 70-80s), weed became something to get you stoned and lazy, unable to do anything but staying at the the sofa (couchlocked, right? LOL), comparable to heroin and opium instead. Those are all the trendy comercial strains nowadays, almost impossible to find a different vibe between them.

Nightime isn't either the time to smoke this kind of tropical trippy stuff though, even when you are a little bit tired, the effect is way different. Set and setting make a big difference with weed. So when you indulge a little bit (too much is bad too and you will miss the point) during the day or in the morning when you have plenty of activities ahead, now life becomes such a different and enjoyable thing!
