I honestly don't know... I'd have to ask... I suspected so at first, but it could just be the odd structure.

Looks like it wasn't happy at one point . the newer growth up top looks good though .

The opposite actually... Its still in my seedling mix, which is very light in amendments.... its starting to peter out and starting to yellow on lower leaves signifying my soil is getting low in N

time for a TP into my stout soil.

i think i will just stick to veganics...im all for organic growing outdoors where it actually works,but indoors im just not so sure its worth the fuss...

Your soil is just fine. Turn it over to give it aeration but whatever the hell you do, don't throw it out. You've made a fine soil and the mycelium shows that it is alive.

Fungus in your soil is a good thing - Endo and Ectomycorrhizae are Mycelium.

mycelium is responsible for absorbing nutrients from the environment. It releases enzymes into the surrounding environment to break down the food source into a digestible form, then absorbs it. i dont mean to come across as slagging organics,i just dont see how a limited biomass with such a low level of input energy can possibly become self sustaining.not to mention our incredibly scanty knowledge of whats actually going with the soil food web....you can roughly mimic it,but calling it soil is akin to calling a salt water fishtank the ocean in my view...once you bring all that stuff inside than its just fancy medium,soil only exist outdoors...

Even when someone wants to go organic, its still hard to break the grow store mentality.... This is bio-dynamic gardening... low-level of input is an incorrect statement, I input botanicals, topdressings, hell new outdoor leaf litter to introduce new specie.... I use fermented plant extracts, aerated teas of many botanical variety.... I use a living mulch of both clover and barley which I chop and drop in place.... there are plenty of inputs... but I have given control over to the plant to take what IT wants... not to only have available what I have recently poured on it.... but I'm a dirtfoot hippy. most of you would be terrified if you saw the variety of life present when you pull back what you can of my mulch...
