Exactly. That is why I refer to it as bantering. If you want to see some hate and haters, go to that GSC thread I mentioned. Now THAT is some real HATE there.

It was sad because some of the original breeders of the GSC and others that had considerable knowledge of the GSC scene left the thread because of the "bad vibes". It would be a complete shame to see that happen here.

I left that GSC thread and did not post anywhere for almost a year because life is too short to not have fun and learn something new every day. The peeps here seem like they are having a good time and that is all that is important.

Keep it up guys. Have not had this much fun on a forum in a long time.

lol, heres some hype for yah,the top offer i got for glue cuts was 1500 bux!,i said no of course...by that reckoning i gave away about 80k worth of glue cuts and at a 1000 a pop for cookie cuts at least another 20k of those....

well....the good thing about it is for every 9 douchebags who get a cut at LA,maybe one med patient with a genuine need will get one too...if even just one person is actually helped then its worth it...

I have two types of Bamboo around my Koi pond, and also have several Heavenly Bamboo shrubs all over. I dont think Heavenly bamboo is in the same family though. There is quite a bit of pole type bamboo and low ground hugging bamboo as well. Its been here since the late 60s or early 70s. Its well established

Who's going to be the first upstanding individual to throw some GG4 crosses to seedbay??

I saw Hammerhead had some for auction at TSD just before it closed, and Stank Bros. had to stop their project......

Sorry if it has been mentioned somewhere, i haven't read the whole thread.

I love the purpling i got this time !!! the back plant was closer to the intake & some of the branches got a real nice shade of purple to them . i haven't gotten it like this before so its gotta be the cold air being drawn in near it .

of course my pics suck just enough they don't do the plant any justice , but ..... it shows a little bit .

Well bamboo is just like cannabis, kinda. There are many different strains of it, and some is highly rare. Some have variegated leaves, some have stripes running up and down between the internodes. Some is large and some are small. They all have their own beauty, but like anything, you must look for it.

I got into bamboo because it is the fastest growing plant around. Perfect barrier to hide things, if you know what I mean. Then like any beginning cannabis smoker, you get into the better strains. Same with the bamboo. I now have many groves of rare bamboo growing all over the place. ;) Some is very rare and quite expensive, like a cut of glue or in the old days GSC.

If anyone wants some, now is the time to dig them up before they shoot in the spring. Bamboo is quite majestic. It grows tall and thin and it dances in the breeze. Very beautiful and relaxing.

There is a religious organization in the foothills. They dance and sing and play flutes. You know, like in the old hippie days. I give them my Moso bamboo and they carve flutes out of it. Glad to help them out, but not my style of music on the long term.

They actually found out about me on one of the other forums, for I have had the bamboogardner handle for some time. Its easy to grow and very drought resistant. I have some that is good for 0 degrees if you are up in the mountains.

Enough for now, have to run and close one of my businesses. Be back in an hour or so.

;)

i dont currently but may add a pond to my landscaping at some point,or at least a small water feature, but i live in the desert, tough place for most bamboo to grow...

I wouldn't plant bamboo if I had the last panda in China. Had a patch of it back home and cursed it daily. Not knocking others right to grow it and appreciate it but I'd rather plant poison ivy. You can get rid of it.

Well bamboo has gotten a bad rap. The bamboo that grows in the south is quite invasive. It is called Golden Bamboo and grows everywhere and quickly too. You cant give it away around here. The rarer bamboo's do not grow that way. There are two types, clumpers and runners. The clumpers stay in a small area, like fountain grass, but of course they grow tall. The running type does run, but if you have the rare type, you just cut them out and have no problem selling them.

I have an arrangement going with a local nursery and we trade bamboo for credit. Works out quite nicely.

Hey, nice purp on those glue's. Lower your night time temps a bit and you will get more purple. Keeps the PM off too.

Hey pappy. Maybe we are neighbors and don't know it..... ;)
Uncle Fish. Some bamboos are very drought resistant. I don't water mine all summer. Usually no rain from March to November. This year, hardly any rain at all and they are still happy. ;)

Still at work so later guys.

Hmmmmm, playing on the computer at work? Maybe I can fire myself and then spend more time on the forums, LOLLLLL ;)

On a related note...
Natural Farming with Indigenous Microorganisms is a method of farming using naturally occurring soil microorganisms which are deliberately collected and cultured. Bamboo is especially powerful as it attracts one of the widest varieties of beneficial microorganisms.....

Place one inch of cooked rice on a platter container with lid such as a plastic lunch box, allowing air space in the container.

Cover this container protecting it from animals that may dig up your container once you bury it in the litter layer under an grove of bamboo.

In 2-10 days gather the container there should be microorganisms like white and other color molds on the cooked rice.

The cooked rice has now been infected with our local microorganisms.

Add 1/3 amount of crude sugar or molasses to the infected cooked rice.

After a week, the concoction will look like sticky, liquid rice.

Add equal amount of crude sugar or molasses to this sticky, liquid rice and keep it for storage in a cool area.

To use, dilute this serum with 20 parts water.
