Stealth Speaker under construction

Hello guys! :tiphat:
Few month ago I start construction of my first stealth speaker.
What I have:
Speaker Box 570x310x260 mm

CFL bulb 85 W 6500 lm
picture.php

Two Arctic Cooling F12 TC (300-1350 rpm) 120 mm 57 CFM (put their sensors in bulb for 1350 rpm)
picture.php

PS 12V 5A, Timer and thermoregulator
picture.php

Two holes on top for my cooler's and one below for air intake
Right now problem is temperature and ventilation. When ambient temp is 22 celsius, after 1 hour in box I have 34 celsius. I think is too much.
Do you have any ideas how reduce temp and improve ventilation ?

Your fans should have plenty of capacity to cool that box, it looks to me your problem is in the fans speed control sensor. Arctic's website says "The temperature sensor will detect the temperature within the computer chassis and it is programmed to maintain the temperature between 32°C and 38°C, meaning this case fan will automatically speed up when the temperature rises." so it seems to me the fans are doing exactly what they are designed to do - keep the enclosure between 32 and 38.

Is there any way to modify the temperature control or change to a manual speed selection? If not you probably need different fans that you can manually control the speed.

What carbon filter are you going to use?
Consider that in any case it will lower the air flow.

I put temperature sensor in the bulb, when bulb is on coolers keep its temperature between 32 and 38 °C.

I'am use this WPRO WHIRLPOOL COMBINED GREASE & CARBON FILTER 2 IN 1

Ok, now I keep tests.
Today I do some experiment when I put 1 cooler to intake and 2 cooler to outtake. And this reduced my temperature to 26 celsius. But I was forced to take off filter. Also noise from coolers was small.

When I put all coolers for outtake and put third 92 mm cooler in box for recycling air I have 100% rpm of coolers hight noise and 30 celsius in box.

Now I :santa1:think about light-blocking in holes where installed fans.

high and welcome to the site and to the hobby.

anyway, here is a link to a thread you may find interesting and inspiring.

Blynx's 1 sqft CFL cab & other CFL micro cabs

...be sure to visit some of the threads authored by the different posters in blynx's thread too, blynx isn't the only gifted builder and grower you will find there.

Just a heads up....those carbon sheets only last like a week and then they do nothing to remove smell. I had to change mine every 7 days.

...here is a link to pontiac's excellent thread where he has compiled a list of links to just about any kind of ganja related DIY project and if you scroll down a ways until you get to the 'Odor Control' part of the list you'll see links to maybe a dozen different DIY carbon scrubber projects, some of which were designed for just such small applications as this.

ICMAG'S OFFICIAL ~DIY~ LINK-O-RAMA

...if you take the time to click on the 'Forums' link above and then the 'Growers Forums' you will see a list of sub-forums on various grow related topics from 'Organics' to 'Hydroponics' and when you click on each of these headings you will be taken to that forums page listing all threads posted in that forum with the opening page always topped by 'Sticky's' for that particular forum.

...if you want to become a successful cultivator of cannabis, especially in small environments, AND you have little to no experience, i would strongly suggest you spend time studying those 'Sticky's', ...the more time you do, the faster you will climb the learning curve.

...some of those threads have been there for YEARS and many of the best of them are still active with either the original author still around or dedicated followers of that particular style or technology.

...there are many ways to skin this cat and there are many cool cats still here willing to help you learn just as we were helped in our turn, ...but most will ignore the easy questions.

...so my advice is that you learn to fish rather than waiting for someone to give you a fish. ...ALL the easy answers are already here for any who willing to go find them.

peace, bozo

Day 25

Day 28

Day 29 "HPS KISS"

I hate my coolers, I need always change distance between temperature sensors and HPS bulb. Now I want increased RPM to the maximum regardless of the temperature. Does anyone know how to make that a thermocouple showed high degrees?

I feel sorry for my mj ...
