San Diego Finest Cuts #3

Terpene

I love the smell of cannabis in the morning

Does it smell like berries?

Better still, does it have squiggly / curled pistils? From what I remember of Madness, it would be interesting to reverse it and cross it to South American sativas like Guatemalan, Panamanian, etc. Here are some shots of it under about 150w of CFL around day 55 from 08/09..

I was asking about berries because a cut we call sadness was passed to some seed guys as madness...its called sadness because when we flowered it we discovered it wasn't madness...its a nice cut...blueberry cross of some kind maybe...turns purple...went from ape to nata to those guys...I keep calling them 'those guys' cuz I can't remember their name...sorry...not being a dick...

If that chronology fits..its a nice cut but not madness....I've told them this a few times and they said ok...but I guess once you name your hybrids and sell them its tough to explain mistakes...easier to let it be madness....although the cut they have is more potent I think...fat yielder too...I enjoyed the fuck out of it!

On a positive note let's hope this has a different story...

Merry Christmas San Diego...way to keep the thread rolling

Merry Christmas San Diego. It's nice to see some of the names coming back that inspired me to start posting here in the first place.

My lady, confidential cheese where have you been all of my life? The ease of growing cheese, the dank of growing LA CON, what an awesome plant! I'm surprised I haven't seen this one around the forums.

Wow humble guy that confidential cheese looks great... I just grew a la con and la woman and silver la... All where dank as heck... My only complaints were the regular la con was a very low yielder... The other two were better in the yields... La woman is my favorite though, awesome smell and great highland bud texture... The silver la is good, its a purple bud with a silver tint from all resin... But that con cheese just looks outstanding ...

In the process of moving plants around yesterday, I managed to break a top cola off one of the branches of the Purple Haze x Malawi. The plant is so tall that it clipped the door frame, despite being carried 2 inches off the ground. Oh well, good test of the smoke at 16.5 weeks. Here's a shot of it today, its shrank a bit from yesterday, but you get the idea..

It's probably the biggest yielding plant I've ever run, and its a haze cross. Keep in mind that this plant is only under a 240w led, in soil.

Happy New Year!
I promised an update before years end. I had hoped to be farther along but the seed project I was doing went longer than expected.
So....here it is. I got my Gavita hung. You can't quite tell from this pic but my 850 cfm exhaust vent is directly over the fixture. Im planning on doing drain to waste in a kiddie pool bed of 1/2 hydroton & 1/2 rockwool cubes. The idea is that the bottom pool would act as my catch basin but I may try to find a different solution for the run off that would allow me to place my grow bed closer to the ground. The Gavita puts out some intense light and I wont be able to veg long with the height of my ceiling.
I have clones of ChemD, V-18, & DT7 rooting along with some ChemD teens. I'll try to get an update posted next week.

Peace & prosperity to All!

How much run off do you anticipate? I have a similar setup with a 3x3 tray holding soil pots on 8" cinder blocks, and use a medium mixing tub from home depot to catch the run off. The large mixing tub would fit too, and holds 20 gallons.

That looks great GT! I have a few of those gravitas and they are incredible.

The OGRE is a new one I'm working with as well. Seems Like a hybrid between SSH and OG. Any more info ?
