:coffee: mornin fellers....

if it could only be like this year round here....ok,maybe 10 degrees warmer...if it could be 70 every day and only drop to like 45 at night....that doesnt sound too bad now does it?
going to clean the road bike this morning and take it out for a spin..just a couple hours, hope to cover at least 30 miles..its fun getting on the road bike after riding the surly a bunch...with the racks and fenders and what not its got to be hitting 40 lbs curb weight...the road bike is like 19lbs with water bottles..and sitting on 120 psi tires only 23mm wide...

got to check my medium stash,i noticed all the different cuts i took from the strawd, mental floss, and glue have roots...10-14 days of just sitting in a cup of water...started cracking the dome vents open on the sssdh and c99 seedlings last night...this time of the year the rooms stay at a near perfect temp on their own,no heating or cooling going on,the waste heat is keeping the house plenty warm....flower was 72 and 39% humidity, have to check the lows tonight....i know its strong enough to bring out the purple in anything that will do that...the swtc99 buds all the small sugar leaves were purple on the underside and theres a bit of purple to the calyxes...gonna be super duper bag appeal on those, the buds are all pretty big overall as well...gonna make a sweet pack...

Its negative 70 here.

Mornin bikers.

P.s. I tried the unc o cloner, cup of water thing. I think the rooting gel messed it up. Close to 25 days and nothing. Not even a stub. It seems there is a slime goo covering the stem. Im assuming its the rooting gel.
So I can say I tried at least.

 well i know you're exaggerating about the temp, people would be dying out there if it got that cold but it sure looks shitty out east...i try and stick to places where you can see the rockies as a general rule...

i think you guys fail at the unc-o-cloner because you make it too complicated or you're fussing with them to much....
take cuttings
stick in cup of water
place cup out of the way someplace
ignore

I've still got a few cuts in cups that way Unc .... i'm not getting any roots to soon .... but i can say ... they look as good today as the day i put them in the cups ! so as long as they stay looking great .... they'll stay right there till roots pop out . i do have to top off the water in the cups like every 2 days .... they're about half empty by then ..... no biggie , fill'em up & ingnore just like ya said . we'll see :)

mornin SUKers :coffee:

Unc ... did ya check out that link to the Origin 8 .... its a pretty sweet bike for the price & the gearless hub on the rear wheel sounds like a winner if it works like they say . i still have to see if theres any feedback on that system , before i make any decisions .

dan....no,i dont really know anything about the gearless systems aside from seeing people using them on expedition touring rigs because they are pretty low maintenance.

just got back from my ride, went a little short but still did 27 miles in 1:45....certainly not blazing fast by any means but it was all hills for the first half of the ride....felt awful for the first 10 miles too, rallied for the second half but really slowed down once i got to town..

bug..... the unc-o-cloner is best when you're in no hurry, like dan was saying its a good way to hold them for a spell before you need them....

:tumbleweed:dec 19th....66 degrees at 1:45pm:biggrin:
lol,i love this place almost as much as i hate it sometimes...no 3 on the worst drivers in the country list...no 3 or 4 on the animal abuse list...no 1 on best green chili cheeseburger though!
no wonder its so cheap to live here!
nothing better after a bike ride than another bike ride! kidding,it wasnt that fun going to the store,my legs are tired...time for a nap...and my ensure and mattlock reruns...

... then its the Early bird special eh? ;)

This past month has been especially brutal out here. im used to cold weather, and i can handle snow, but this has been bone chilling cold so far this season.
Today actually did warm up a bit over here too. Not enough to melt the blanket of snow though. and certainly not 66.

Green chilli cheese burgers sound magnificent btw.

so unc, in the unc-o-clonr, you dont use any rooting gel on your cuts?
I swear i think that was my problem. I shoulda took a pic of this slime, it was weird.

Pappy I have never used anything in the unc-o-cloner and only had success 1 time. It was 100% in 13 days. The stars must have been in perfect alignment lol the cuts covered the top of the cup and I had them in a poorly lit spot under the canopy of the veg plants. I have tried it numerous times and had 0 roots only the clear slime forming on the stems. That is what I call the first sign of failure to root. not sure what causes it but have never had roots after the slime :dunno:
