:) lol, theres only just the 3 bikes....for now...need to get the new grow room project done so i can move the bike shop out to the garage...im going to try and cap the bike thing at 4 once i get the pugsly so 4 bikes and 2 trailers but even with all that i will still have less than 7 grand in vehicles....even if you add in all the camping gear and the packs and racks i will get for the pugsly and all the stuff like cycling shorts and shoes and whatnot were still talking less than 10 grand...for a set of vehicles that will allow me to go just about anywhere in many different weather conditions and haul 99% of the stuff i get....

When you put it like that, it actually doesnt seem excessive at all.
At first glance that does kinda seem like a lot of money to spend on motorless bikes. But when you realize its your means of transport and hauling, plus the fact that its a passion and your really enjoy it, its totally reasonable.
I dont care to think what i spend maitaining my vehicle, especially with the price of gas. Not to mention what the car cost itself.

i was looking at an 8000 dollar bike in the shop the other day...now thats ridiculous...unless you can really crank the watts out...
i have got to be pretty close to or over 2000 miles since mid july already,i should get past 5000 easily this year and maybe closer to 7000 miles,by next year i could be having 1000+ mile months on a regular basis...

well, that was a brief trip,at least i remembered to fix the brakes before i left...its going to be super nice this week, forecast for light winds on most days...i want to try and get out and camp on either solstice or xmas...im hoping for solstice since in spite of not being a big holiday person i do like a nice xmas dinner, even if its just me since i am my favorite person and santa was extra good to me this year...im trying to pay it forward,i think trek has a program to buy bikes for third world folks since even just a bicycle can vastly expand the economic and educational opportunities available...
i know getting the ogre expanded my horizons vastly....i have been farther from town on a bike now than i had in the past couple years since i built this version of the garden...had to keep my nose to the grindstone to get it running right....and now the pay off starts...all this stuff i have been dreaming of doing, all the sometimes tedious hours in the saddle getting into shape...going from dreaming of being able to do something to actually being able to do it.....good stuff...i feel like i finally after 43 years of trying actually know how to ride a bike....

Morning folks.

Dans, what size vinyl tubing outdoor use for your mainline?

Do you mean the water mains coming into the house ? those are 1 1/4 " i believe . they don't really up size the pipes in the ground here . if you bury them below the frost line .... which is 2' here . then everythings kosher . if your pipes come out into the elements anywhere then heat tape & insulation is used & usually some type of structure over the pipes as well . like trailer parks here where the park supplies a water line ..... they just dig down below the frost line & cover the pipe coming up in heat tape & insulation tubes ... & into a little wooden box that covers it all .

I just use the 1/2" poly tubing , same as the 1/4"

the 2 trays are not linked together anymore . all 3 trays has their own rez . actually 4 trays & rez's now cuz i have the 4 x 4 room on drip lines too .

Cool, just bought some 1/2". Time to automate veg. Gonna do the 3x6 and the 3x3 tonight. Guess I'll struck with dtw. Was contemplating ebb n flow but don't feel like dealing with the coco mess in the rez.

camber is the model name, its a specialized...
the hydraulic fluid rez are tiny, one on the level, one on the brake caliper...it must be hydraulic assist rather than full hydraulic brakes since theres still a cable and not a fluid line...

A co-worker of mine is into triathlons and purchased a very expensive Trek, I couldn't believe how much people could spend when it comes to bikes.

Also advised me for $500 I could get a jam up entry level mountain bike @ the local shop.

Don't care for running anymore so I figure why not try the bike thingy as we have lots of hiking trails here.

The cable just activates the plunger in the rez . your rez just happens to be on the caliper which is pretty cool in itself , but probably expensive to replace . front wheel uses the caliper rez & the back wheel uses the rez on the level i'm assuming . pretty much the same as a motorcycle except the front caliper rez in on the brake lever on the handle bars .

Cool ... i like it ! i bet it stops on a dime !!!

plus recircing coco throws the PH way outa whack . DTW with coco is about the best & easiest aside from hempys .& i even automate them :)
