Has anyone SOG'ed gg4 yet in beds? I am curious to see what she can do with a 7-10 day veg.
its kind of lanky and vine-y in flower so i dont think its a plant well suited to that style.plus with the limited container size in a traditional sog set up i think the glue would get unhappy quickly.
my observation is that the gg#4 needs as much root space as you can give it,that whatever pot size you give it or whatever room space you devote to it,the gorilla glue will happily fill it up.
i have two in flower right now,one in a 20 gallon smart pot that got minimal veg time between going from a 5 gallon pot to the 20 gallon pot,and one in a 45 gallon pot that got another month of veg time basically by itself under a 1000w halide.i caan see already that the 45 gallon plant will have much larger size buds on average than the 20 gallon plant...

Thanks for the feed back Uncle, I kind of figured that. I will still try to see first hand!
I was thinking 60 or 72 per 60" x 120" x 12". It's going to take me a while to build up
the cuts anyway. I will be scrogging with pleasure in the meantime.

im more used to thinking in 4x4 squares but 9 plants in 3 gallon pots un topped pruned to 4 branches under a 1000w or 4 topped plants in 5-7 gallon pots or 2 10 gallon plants scrogged or one 20 gallon plant scrogged will reliably fill a 4x4 area....

im trying for my first 2 lb plant...the glue is an excellent large plant...

I could never fit 9 3gal containers per light.

Time to play devils advocate.

My glues like small containers. I'm not in soil however. I feed mine everything and supply all the water they don't need huge root spaces in coco. Just to be well established. I get half or less on stretch and about 3+ oz per .75gal container I'm running average 2x now. The real deal test is next when I let 12 go together. That will really tell me what I gotta do to pump more outta her. Also my branches are very stout, starting to lean at end of week 6 barely a foot over the net gonna wish I'd had put the 2nd one up I bet but holdin strong for now.
The swell begins. Glue scares me on yield til the end and blows up over here last min.

4 topped 5 gals sound about perfect unclefishy I think that's a great ideal number for soil especially avoid the real long veg and 4 per bulb is not a ton to maintain

I'll be doing the 4 per light. 3.5 gallons of coco but I got time to veg. They will have at least 60 days veg if not more.

Just had a round of super cropping the other night. I'll see if I can remember pics later tonight.

Some of us have done 60+ days veg. I do it often. not just with GG#4.. The cold is slowing things down in the screen room. there's no heat so I had to put the lights back to 24 hr's to keep the temp above 70f..

I thought you were gonna weave that broad like there's no tommorow c8?
I even agree with you, ideally thats prolly the way to go. Why the change of heart?

Doc, 16 in 5 gals.? Did you get into the edibles again?
You mean under 2 lights, right?

Im not gonna mono her next run, but I think I will the run after that. Ive decided 4 plants, in 7 gal smart pots is ideal for my situation.

IMO that's perfect veg time maybe even more in 3.5 gal. But I'd say a perfect minimum time. Ur gonna kill that light

So the homie Scott is workin the glue eh? I know what I want for x-mas.

That should be a killer cross. That rd1 breeds fire.
I love the scotts og. Which is Tk x rd1. I think rd1 itself is a Tk x ghost og bx or something like that.
I was actually thinking a gg4 x Scott s OG would be a good cross, but if moonshine man is gonna do that, ill just wait for his.
