just transplanted all the clones into cups.
he said they were from a hardcore grower friend in Ohio.... only one deathstar popped up, but i transplanted both just in case...
guy had a ton of seeds, some in breeders packs some not, I traded with him for the kosher kush, which popped up. like i said; seemed somewhat legit....

ALSO:
trying out this ceramic metal halide made locally that uses the phillips 315w agro
hung it in veg, about to do some more transplanting; cups into 1gallon pots.

The thread is called "Avi's Fresh Start", but I see ya cranking out that same old DANK homie! Happy growing!
thanks edro, i think "avi's same old same old" wouldn't have the same ring... also been going thru some personal shit past 18months, it's good for things to feel fresh.... new room, new genetics, good vibes.

:dance013:

did a ton of work in veg this week, transplanting from cups to 1gal pots, clones into cups, prepping for next round of cloning, gave out some harlequin clones. moved the unsexed plants in cups (stag. lee, drizella bx, des*tar bx, and ras richie jamaican) into flowering room, just to sex them; then i plan on pulling the ones showing female back into veg and transplant them into 1gal pots as well.

a few notes on smells in the room.
one pheno of FLO OG (rare dankness) is sweet "cabbage" smelling and seems to be the high yielder of the batch, and another one is sweet smelling but not purely a flo smell, its not as earthy as the flo im accustomed too. last pheno of flo og has is straight sour earthy fire ogk smell - reminds me a lil of the triangle.
compared to that super kushy flo og none of the deadhead og f2s are giving a killer ogk smell. one with more elongated cayxes has lots of earthiness, another one of the deadhead og f2 phenos is super sweet smelling. not fruity sweet tho....
the loud 7/8 sours are each unique, none are super sour smelling yet.
bay 11 (only one in the room) is kinda sweet piney, not much earthiness, more clean smelling, sweet pinesol. and very low yeilding it looks like, only half way thru flowering tho (week 5 of ten right now)

Lookin really Frosty up in here. Seed section is killing it It looks like. May you reap what you sow, an from the looks of it you've sowed a boat load. Keep it green brother.

I see a lot of familiar genetics I have grown in the past and breed with, strawberry cough, buddah's sister, flo, death star, sweet tooth :) looking good bro! I am interested in the harlequin and the fruity flo... but ya know my stance on taking clones. If those death stars don't work out for you, I have a special f2 lady and just dumped f2 death star daddy onto everything in flowering, but mine are death star x southern lights... so not true death star as I was trying to "save" the genetics by crossing it with something relatively similar. I have some strawberry cough f2 or f3 seeds around here somewhere if you want to take another crack at it, the strawberry cough I grew out was very sensitive to any fluctuation and my keeper female turned pure balls out male with a 1/2 candlelight light leak & a small cold draft, so that may be something to keep in mind with anything containing those genetics.

The buddah's sister looks killer, I used to have her, crossed her with my ds, prolly have some of those f1 seeds around here somewhere. I'm fixing to take cuts from the watermelon hashplant x ak-47 #3 I'm so crazy in love with if you'd like to take a crack at her. BTW my experience with buddah's sister is that you can take multiple harvests off of her before totally taking her down and she revegges nicely too in case you needed to do that, very sturdy gal.

I did notice with death star, that it likes to be topped and fim'ed, pinched a lot to bush out, otherwise from seed it won't start producing side branches and is just a column; which is what I did this past go around and dm says it's taking up an entire table and is yielding like all get out, and has supercropped herself under her bud weight (dm hasn't let me get my way with wanting to put in bamboo stakes like I see you have going on, as I do tend to veg a bit too big, which is happening again) so I am busy supercropping, lst, topping, fim'ing, pinching, now veg is bursting at the seams and I still have 3-4 more weeks to go before I dare flip anything in veg due to mites hitching a ride into my flowering building via a co2 tank switch out... but seem to be localized onto just 1 plant.

Seems like we will be harvesting around the same time, let me know if you want any help. As I will more than likely just end up taking my plants out and just hanging them so I can sterilize everything and change up having the co2 tank inside the flowering room in the flowering building, don't know how many more holes the wall separating the split a/c and ballasts etc will do and how to manage to get the co2 into the sealed room, but can't take any more risks with getting another grow room STD from someone else's garden.

I saw you mention a blueberry in your garden? I sure do miss that genetic... I'm ready to rock an all male run on my closed loop whenever you're ready, and the 3 males I have in veg are hogging up so much room, need to make that kimchi soon. Got fresh raspberries and meyer lemons last night to use for tutorials and the edibles collab we were talking about. And have 2 different recipes for caramel freshly made (un-medicated) to cut up for munchies and to decide which one to use for tutorial, some torrone curing almost ready to cut up and snack on for sugar rush & separated out the seeds to use for the hemp milk/hemp-fu thing, going to soak/sprout them later today.

You look like you're def keeping very busy! So hit me up and we can plan our culinary adventures, your garden looks freaking fantastic! I am jelly! Wish I had that kind of space, but dm won't let me..I want to know more about the ceramic light you mention in this thread... how is it working for you so far? I feel like a total slacker after seeing you rock it out Avi.

U down for the secret cup national finals this weekend? HMU and head on over if you're not crazy busy and get our project rolling for the icmag holiday cooking contest thing.

Much respect brother!

^^ Boulderlamp Ceramic Metal Halide light in veg... has turned flimsy lil clones from beer cups into sturdy, thick stalked veg plants (trasnplanted into 1gal pots). No complaints so far; except I wish i had 2 right now to cover more floorspace & more plants.... gonna have to hang a 6ooW to maintain larger veg plants.

Beeee-a-utiful!

Are all those Chunky D? The second last pic seem to be an excellent vert-scrogger..

btw, do you bother to counter cold rootzone concidering the plants are put directly on the floor, or is the temp high enough in the room/on the floor?

Personally I preferred Reclining Buddha to Buddha's Sister... RB had a nice cherry OG taste when grown right. Real finicky bitch to dial in though.

You running the buckets again after this run?
That's the plan, botanicare nutes again, all fresh bottles this time.

I wish they were all chunky D, but NO,only a few in the buckets...
as far as rootzone temps.
plants are not directly on the floor, i've raised them after being advised to by arthritis sucks... they are on 1.5 inch risers made of pvc pipe. also running a small heater on a thermostat during lights out to keep temps in range.

I thought they would Bush-out a lot more wt ebb n flo, sorta like DWC?

ya, me2.
there were some problems during veg/early flowering due to old/spoiled nutes, so the ebb&flo buckets are.... a tad disappointing this round. There are some nice frosty buds swelling up now in the bucket system; just less of them, unfortunately.

for some reason the plants in organic soil are needing more mag this round than I've generally needed; what was my soil mix specifically low on that caused this? I think the soil mix was generally a lil bit weak; I'm now feeding the organic side earthjuice bloom base and high P bat guanos.
perhaps also containers are a lil bit small for what i was expecting to
be the finished plant size.

the organic flo x grimm "pink" pheno is giving off a "honey" sweet smell, in addition to it's typical strawberry ice cream fruitiness... a couple suuuper earthy/ rotten fruit smells coming from the Temple Flo in organic soil.
