wait until i get the drywall up and can hang some pegboard with all the tools racked out! plus of course the bike posters and whatnot...as i range farther and farther out i have been collecting a postcard or something from each spot i have been pining up next to the state parks map,so that will start getting more and more crowded...it will all get moved to the garage when that opens up...will still need room for the pugsly and the ted trailer...the trailer is next, then the pugsly...im still having fun with the camber...

And now for something completely different.

Got this idea from Canna recently. If you can reuse coco slabs why not coco pots? I don't know why so lets give it a try shall we?

As long as you're using an enzyme product Canna suggests reusing the same pot for up to 12 months.

We'll see.

Really ?????
how thick was the rootball & what did ya do , just use a garden trowel & dig the old rootball out ???? i may have to try this .are you using the zyme during the flush too ? i tend to stop everything during the flush .
the slabs you can reuse 3x .... i don't think i'd push the pots much more than that either .

curious to see how that works third, I have reused coco for years but always separated the old roots from it first, usually was good for 3 runs then it got to fine grainded

I started saving pots of coco too for awhile so i could reuse it , but the only place i could keep a kiddie pool full of coco was the basement ... & i was afraid of it getting infested with bugs , so i dumped it all .
if i can reuse the pots like this a few times ..... that would be tits !!!

guess what i'm doing with the 10 pots i harvest this month :)

While I do use Zym(and Boost)until chop, these are the pots from the girlboys that just came down so they only had a month of growth. Roots were still pretty thick. I used a sharp knife but a serrated wallboard hand saw might be better.

Looks like we all agree 3 times is probably about it.

I imagine I'll know in a couple weeks if they are happy or not. Just going to make sure I flush out the coco so runoff is <1.0 and I hope I'm good.

Normally the coco would be after a crop but being they were pulled in the middle of week five it may be a bit above 1.0

I find it interesting that Canna would suggest this as they are in the business of selling coco after all.

Maybe they want to push the Zym more than the coco lol.

Okay okay, I'm up.

Fresh roasted coffee being made making the house smell all good. Getting ready to go pickup a face cord of firewood. Got one the other day, usually burn around 3 per winter.

Got the hose to the barn turned off at 11:00 last night as it was dropping into the 20's. Doing better than I had hoped. I have 160 gallons in the flower room(40x4) plus 800 in the tanks, so I should make it almost 3 weeks into Dec before I need to hit the 800. Very good.

Will be taking a lights worth down this weekend at some point which will be the GG#4's spot. Want to make sure the glue are big enough though so the spot will have to stay open for a week or two.

so far its been a mild winter, actually a fairly typical one so far aside from the early bit of snow we got, some nights in the 20's here and there, but even the "cold" days are still in the 40's...there will be a few weeks in january when it gets colder, but then it typically starts warming back up in february and by march the winds come and its springtime....spring is my least favorite time of year here...30+ mph winds for days...dust everywhere...i have seen a 1/2 of dust pile up in a day....hate it....

my front yard still has fresh blossoms appearing....still butterflies out once it warms up....still have carrots and beets going in the garden...still wearing shorts everyday...

Im gonna try and get the christmas tree today. The old lady is starting to bug out about it.
Id really rather just string lights on a giant weed plant, but apparently thats not "acceptable" according to societies norms.

lol,not in alaska, winter starts in september and ends in april up there!
people down south here dont seem to celebrate the solstices...there were always big parties for both winter and summer solstice in ak...of course they party for nearly any reason up there...

i have a little juniper in the yard...maybe a bit charly brown-y but i may put up a string of lights...
