How do we take a link: https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=40637

and a name: Link-O-Rama

and combine them into a named link like this: Link-O-Rama

Here's how in 5 easy steps: Instructions appear ABOVE the illustrations.

(1) Write name...(2) Highlight name...(3) Click Globe/Link icon

4) Enter or Paste URL...5) Hit OK

Your code should look like this: Note name is still highlighted, this will come into play in a moment.

Your named link appears in your post: Link-O-Rama

I like to add color to the link to help identify it as a link rather than word emphasis.

With name STILL highlighted... (6) Click Font Color icon...(7) Choose color

Your code should now look like this:

And, voìla... Link-O-Rama

Well, poo. Ganja_hasi beat me to this hours ago. :badday: Dang you ganja, dang you all to heck. From another thread...
hi sleepy,
sometimes the pictures are saying more that words, so I thought I could help with some screen shots :)
all the steps that allready well described  with some picts
as said
the first step is to copy the URL that you want to insert in the link, like this one https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=179160

after that enter the text that should be seen , I've named the example "Name The Link"
picture.php

then highlight-mark the text that you entered
picture.php

after highlighting, hit the globe
picture.php

and insert the URL tha you already copy on the first step
picture.php

after inserting hit ok.

Your link is ready and that's how it looks like
picture.php

hope that this will make it a bit easier for you :)
