LEGEND'S Of HASHISH

It does if no entries from N Cali bother to enter.
Sorry facts....
-SamS

LOL, aint that the truth.

I'll consider the fact that yourself, me, and Matt Rize all have strong ties to the same tiny little area in N. California where I am from/grew up.

Not a coincidence.

I *will* be at this competition next year if it's going to be going on, and I have at least a couple people who now have seen the light who will be helping me. Northern California will be EXTREMELY well repped. next year.

You can put money on that.

Cheers, eh.

If I am correct RiverRock said they use fresh plants flash frozen to make the water hash, then they used sublimation to remove all moisture from the frozen extracted resin, but anyone can do this I suggested it years ago. The real secret is real low heat to preserve the terpenes, sublimation as well as the fresh plant extracts.
-SamS

Yeah that's pretty much what I figured.. it's always somebody making it for a club.. why not let said individual compete in a different country/continent? Lol.

Hopefully you guys got some macros yeah?

Stoked to see it if it's anything like last year.

The judges preferences, all the judges have years of hashish making and smoking experience, we do eliminate entries if they are for example water hash that has turned all whitey and lost potency and taste. Really we are looking for something that looks good, tastes and smells great, and has the effects we are looking for, as well as potent as hell. We do deduct points if anything is not perfect. Really great hashish shines and all 6 judges agreed on the top 4 and then we re-smoked the top 4 to find the 3 winners. We were almost in total agreement when we decided:
#13 first DANK COMMANDER water sift
#5 second BIG RED dry sift
#16 third MOONSHINE HAZE dry sift

I have not seen them but Bubbleman did take a few photos he will post them. The 3rd place was pressed really great piece it will shatter if dropped on a table or floor. The first was rock hard glue, the second was dry sift unpressed, but all squashed up not so free flowing, so the pictures are not like last years winner.

Just as a side point, I had a bit of a cold, drippy, runny nose and eyes when I went to the LEGEND'S DINNER, almost thought of not going, but I did and can say I smoked the cold right out of me, I woke up this morning with no cold.
I have seen this in the past also, I hardly ever get colds anyways.

I find that heavy use of certain strains of cannabis can kill the common cold dead by out smoking it Sam.

Sorry to burst your idiot bubble, but those guys in CO are killing it every day and only get better

we have smoked a few diff buds from CO, and disappointed it's no better then the shit we are growing.. and not really impressed with the shit we grow...

It was water sift.
-SamS

Looks like you had one of them confused.. when I first read only the 2nd place was a dry sift.. 1st and 3rd were water hash..

Looks to be fixed now :tiphat:

+1 on Colorado growers not being up to par with Northern California. 99% of the people who grow usually forget about the weather.. Nor Cal > most anywhere in Colorado.

There is a reason why the Emerald Triangle is world famous, and Denver isn't.

I tried to use UVB to improve plants but have never had any improvement I could see or measure via analysis with my GC. I used them both with Sodium and Halides indoors as well as in my greenhouse with sunlight thru glass. The test was a bust, the 5 foot plants in the closest rows to the UVB got burnt, the next row was a little yellow around the leafs, the next few rows not any real negative things to say except it did not increase the THC one bit. The two closer rows had less THC then controls without UVB, and less weight, specially the first row.
GS have you ever grow a crop with UVB as well as controls of the same clone without UVB and had it analyzed to see if the THC totals change? Or the Terpene totals? I have and I could not find any improvement.
If anyone knows of a post that shows analyzed improvement with UVB, I would love to see it, please give me the link.
