Whats the K value on those bulbs?
wg, thanks for your words, always good to have you visit the burrow. how about a glass of carrot juice? or scotch on the rocks in fact?

the bulbs are all 2700K.
sadly, in the time of construction i was unaware of benefits that mixing different K values brings.
it was discussed here with blynx and kiwi_growa at the end of run #1. some folks believe that one spectrum only may not allow some strains to finish (especially sativa leaning).

the mother of this HotMix was grown under HPS 250 previously (and chopped prematurely) so i cannot really tell what to expect here.

Your nailing it my friend, looks amazing.

:tiphat: thank you sir, glad to hear it!

nice pics, love the thrics formations! they're exploding!
hello my friend, i like the trichs too  they are less abundant than in run #1 (CHemdogDD-x-SD ibl) but still satisfactory.

Ace job man, how many more weeks are you thinking? Just a couple?
i have no idea! :bashhead:
as said above, the mother was flowered under 250 HPS and chopped a bit too early so i don't know how long this strain really requires... no amber trichs so far anyway so we will wait at least 2 weeks i guess.

This grow is looking fan-tastic. Wow...yum.
hello there, sister grower :]
cool to see that cool hunny bunny princess in my humble burrow!

stay relaxed, folks and thx for all your comments and words of encouragement, much appreciated!

Wow they just keep getting better!

I also heard that you want to mix your CFL spectrum for that same reason. I have seen good results with 30% 6500K and 70% 2700K.

Looking mint! Cant be much longer now.
i thought the same until i inspected some upper foliage with a 100x lens and found out most trichs are clear, with some turning cloudy. no signle amber trich as for now.
also, she didn't swell quite as much as the other strain in previous run so i intend to allow her a bit more time, let's be patient :)

Rockin along
wow dude she is looking super fantastic. nice n dense.
cheers, both of you! :thank you:

Do you have anything on deck for the next round?
well i was planning a micro sog but this depends on how/if the clones root. i am seeing some issues in the rabbit nursery, perhaps due to low temp in the cab...?
that small bulb is unable to heat the space up enough, while recently ambient temps dropped considerably over here :[

if lack of clones prevents me from sog then i will probably flower one of the moms, simply repeat the coco hempy, not sure about the strain yet though.
time will tell :]

What do you mean by upper foliage? The top parts of the colas closest to the light?

This strains reminds me of the C99 x Shire (SSSDH) I run. The buds looks done around day 63 tho there are only mostly clear with a few cloudy trichs toward the tops of the colas. But looking down a lower on the top colas the trichs are mostly cloudy. After day 63 the buds start putting out little fingers with white hairs as is happening with yours.

Honestly tho, I never really look at trichs as a determination for harvest, I just look at the overall bud/structure/hairs/swell/etc.

Cooler temps will slow rooting. The area I clone is is naturally cool to begin with and it's been cold here lately so my rooting has slowed way down.

I use oasis cubes turned on their side so I can see a bit of stem through the hole in the center of the cube. When it cools down a lot I can see that sometimes the plants just put out little white bumps on the stem instead of nice roots. I'll through the cuts into soil when I see those little white bumps if I'm not seeing roots.

I've also found that for some strains if they've been in an oasis cube for a month or so and haven't rooted, I can just put them into soil and they end up rooting and growing. Seems like this is the only way I can get clones going of ChemD lol.

thanks, all :thank you:

blynx, you were right, thanks for your advice brother.
i checked out the trichs way below and they are much more mature.

therefore i replaced the nute water with plain H2O and officially begun the flush. will keep you folks updated.

when it comes to rooting, i don't know what the problem seems to be.
it is not just the time it takes but also the drop off rate increased significantly. the cuttings just yellow off and wilt. i will take some pics when i get the chance. no change in soil or venting scheme, the only difference is ambient temp.
can that be the reason of all evil?

stay relaxed, fellows :smoke:

Could be. I know someone who did all their cloning in a cool basement w/o a heat mat. Many of them looked like they were going to gasp their last. They would be yellow but not wilted. 2-3 days later new growth would start at the nodes - just tiny specks of green. He knew he would lose some so he succeeded through sheer numbers.

thx, wg my goal is similar in given circumstances... i take many more cuttings than i need and count on those who will root.

if only temp is the problem than i can fix that quite easily, will just throw an extra bulb in there and see what happens.

my worries are that there is something more to it...
please have a look at the cuttings ca. one week after being thrown into the cups. these are the 4 problematic ones but i throw out 2 or 3 others every week:

^^ you can notice how poor they look.

besides, the mom cab is underperforming as well - some yellowing visible. maybe i'll add a drop of nutes to see if this is the issue:

will keep you updated.
stay cool :joint:
