Always good to see updates, thanks for that!
Love the stuff on your mates' balconies too, that #5 looks like a serious yielder.
Thanks for keeping us in the loop, and look forward to your smoke reports a few months down the line.

Greetings,

Looking great. Some of those buds really have fattened up. I like what I'm seeing with the resin on the Z6!

Great job to you and your friends. I'm glad to hear the results are so strong and positive.

All the Best,

ThaiBliss

Hello! Here's the last growing update - the harvest of Z#6 :)
The temperatures are now closing to zero in the mornings, with some days with no sun at all, so my friend harvested it. Yield is good, buds are dense, frosty and with swollen calyxes (bracts). We've tried some oven-dried samples but it's too early to really judge anything. Zamaldelica's quick-dries have nothing to do with a slow-dried sample, but my friend was impatient.

Here are the photos:

And here's Z#1, the tops of which have survived the roots boiling, and not long ago started to flower. My friend will leave it till it manages to survive.

Congratulations. :yay:

It looks like they finished nicely, to me. I usually harvest with just a spritzing of white pistils scattered about, just short of completely played out.

Mid November is just a bit long for me, even with a greenhouse, in my area. If mine turn out as good as you and others are reporting, I'll have to hope that the power and trippiness translates well when crossed with Bangi Haze.

Again, it looks like you guys did a great job! Looking forward to detailed smoke reports on each individual.

Congrats,

ThaiBliss

Thank you for the nice words, people!

ThaiBliss, the cross with Bangi Haze will definitely be interesting, especially if you search in big numbers of the children. I'm already getting excited for next season when I plan to start early and grow 10-15 plants indoors, select most promising plants for outdoors and make some crosses for the future. Zamaldelica doesn't seem suitable for my outdoor site, but maybe crossed with a Haze/Thai or why not Flo, heh, it depends on what I find nice males from.

Here are a few photos of a top bud of Z#5 and a bud of Z#2, next to 2 small Nirvana's Haze buds that have cured for a year, I put them in the photos just for color reference.

Hi yoss! I also feel Zamaldelica effect is very uplifting, physically energetic and clear in the mind. It's the kind of sativa that makes you feel like floating and moving, surprised with the clear perception.

It could be quite scary depending on your tolerance, maturation of the plant and the pheno. Maybe is not the most suitable strain for your climate (consider next season early flowering sativas like bangi haze, nepal jam or any other similar genetics).

I'm glad you finally have the chance to try your flowers. Hope you and your friends enjoy Zamaldelica :)

We are definitely enjoying the Zams, they are so energetic, though my friend finds Z#5 too strong for daily use :)
I am smoking every day from morning till night, so my tolerance level might be a bit high. Yet I too find Z#5 strangely potent. It's not the usual overwhelming effect, not too trippy, nor paranoid. But it has a subtle psychedelic effect where you feel something deep within you is moving. It's hard to describe, I can only compare it to the inner tension I get from acid and mushrooms. It just moves you very deeply though not intensely like a real psychedelic. I understand why Dubi says Zamal crosses can be extremely psychoactive - I've never felt this effect from weed, it's getting high on a completely new level. Not that it's very strong, but it's very unusual kind of high. After an evening of smoking Z#5, I don't feel like smoking any weed the next morning. Very much like a morning after a psychedelic trip where I feel I definitely had enough for some time.
Z#6 is still drying and I have yet to see if it has this acid kind of high. Z#2 doesn't, it's pure coffee.

And by the way, I've already almost made my mind what to grow next season.
I'll start indoors
2x feminized Nirvana Haze
4x regular Ace Tropical Mix, from the small dark seeds in the pack which must be Haze x Thai
3x regular Nirvana Royal Flush (Jock Horror x Oaxacan)
6x regular DJ Short Flo

The most promising plant of the Hazes I'll transplant outdoors at my usual place. I hope Ace's Haze is like Nirvana's version in that it can survive a short cold spell and not die like Zamaldelica at the first hours of frost and miss a whole warm sunny month afterwards.

I'll start all these seeds because I want to cross the Hazes with Flo and Royal Flush, both of which are hybrids with clear happy Oaxacan high. My hope is to produce seeds that retain the clear euphoric Haze high, retain the late onset of flowering (which is good for my case with all the wild hemp around), but increase the flowering speed and bud size. And why not add some flavor. Royal Flush is very tasty (grown it before), and I've heard only good things from respectable people about the flavor and high of Flo, now comes my chance to try it.

Can't wait for the new season to start, hehe.

Hi Yoss33,

I'm interested to know if Z#6 got fully mature, and how it turned. Can you give us a report for Z#6, and contrast to the others if anything unusual about it?

Thanks in Advance,

ThaiBlis

You are welcome, people :)

ThaiBliss, I still can't say much about Z#6. I've smoked it several times when together with my friend, but all of them in the evenings after some drinking and heavy smoking of Z#5 and Haze. And it didn't make big impression in these occasions. It's not as electric and psychic as Z#5, and not as stinky. Maybe it should have been harvested earlier, I don't know. I'll share more impressions when I get some buds to try on cleaner brain :)
