Building a Bomb-ass Veg Room with IC OVO

sounds bomb man!

Whats the veg time?

Got a sick cloning set up or style?

This 4' x 8' isn't the main veg, it's just a staging area/experimenting space/mom room. It's just a good home for the plants if things in the main room are taking a little longer. They might be in the 4' x 8' anywhere from 1-3 weeks, but they would never be in any pot bigger than 1 gallon unless they were moms. It's great to get them fully adjusted to HPS lights so there is no shock when entering the main room though. I feel having this good veg area saves anywhere from 1-2 weeks each run.

Vegging in the main room takes place for 3-4 weeks and at that point, they are in 3 gallon pots. I flip when they reach the last rung on the cages (54" )

Cloning is boring right now, just rapid rooter trays and a T-5. I am going to put together a nice rack space with T-5's and DIY Aero Cloners soon though. I'll do a writeup on it!

nice room man, u got some skills. i pretty much did the same thing but hung 5/8" fire rated drywall over insulation just for piece of mind. then stapled white poly over drywall.

how do you drain your tray, pump it out. i didn't see any drain pipe or anything. i was re-doing some baseboards in my house and realized what a perfect opportunity it would be to run some 1/2" flex pipe behind baseboards under drywall. now all my trays drain by them self's. no more emptying buckets and overflowing trays.

Hey doc,

Since these plants aren't on a multi feed system, they are just hand watered, there is very minimal runoff. Any excess water that leaves the cups gets evaporated in about 24 hours. My main rooms have sloped floors that lead to a central gutter, which is gravity fed out of the room.

:thank you:

Fuck a nun - WOW bud... Your plants look super healthy here!

Thanks! The secret is "less is more" with these gals. And the soil mix is on point. They're fed:

Bontanicare PBP Grow @ 5ml/g
Botanicare Aquashield @ 5ml/g
Botanicare Silica Blast @ 2.5ml/g
Botanicare CalMag @ 2.5ml/g
Roots Excelurator @ 1ml/g
SM-90 @ 2ml/g
and Great White Powder Mykos @1 scoop/5 gallons

Comes out to between 600-700 ppm most of the time. I flower at double that.

Whats up buddy,

Yeah I was thinking about it, my boy is judging it and I'm cool with the family that puts it on, but that drive makes me hurl every time haha.

Glad you enjoy the updates! Things should be getting more interesting soon, its been at the boring in between stage long enough!

If thats fibreglass/mineral/stone wool insulation then its fire proof, it as to be otherwise we would not use it as insulation in our homes if it was a fire hazard.

Fibreglass insulation can withstand temps in excess of 800c you would be hard pressed to set in on fire with a blow torch and gallon of petrol it will just melt, Fibreglass is used as fire retardant on its own and the stuff we put in our walls have been treated again with other fire retardants to make sure it will not catch fire. Tying to start a fire with that stuff is like trying to start a fire with water

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKZd1ZTjvzE

The paper facing and glue on that insulation is not fire proof, and the video you linked to is demonstrating how much more readily a room built using regular fiberglass batts will go up in flames compared to one using un-faced mineral wool insulation.

Yeah she's an awesome plant, short and stocky after being topped, but extremely robust. Check out my grow diary, I've basically filled my room with it to see what it can do.
