So for everybody who didn't know yet: I'm indeed from Lights Interaction.
I've been working for 11 years at the company and do have a little knowledge on light and lighting, so I hope to give a good contribution to this forum.

It is clear both products are probably the best and most efficient available HPS-systems at the moment.
And I am glad doubtful facts have been cleared by my well esteemed colleague even though I might feel different about certain things.
We will keep the judging of our products to the forum members and the users.

The ePapillon has won the High Times Gear of the Year Award 2013 and we're very proud of it.
Apart from the ePapillon and the dPapillon there will be many new innovative products coming to market soon.

I fully agree. Congrats with the award! It is clear that double ended systems like the e-papillon and ours are appreciated in the market and by the specialists. Both now have been awarded the highest appraisal from the press. DGS is a respected colleague and though we may not always agree about everything we do share a passion for good lighting, safety, quality and optimal results.

welcome. got to love new improved equipment. the old dutch greenhouses
were all 400 watt, now they like 1k and LED lower intercrop. it would be fine if you could post a grid test of the unit w measurents so we can see the quality of the light focal control. thanks. I know PL Lights has wide angle lights also. and what are the suggested retail?

The footprint of the dPapillon 315W is not square. It's about 4ft by 6ft.

so if I have a 4ft x6ft grow tent I can use this one lamp to grow?

You know I'm biassed, so the only thing I can say is just try them. And you won't be disappointed. It's a promise.

I can make you any lightplan you'd like. You'll see how the light comes out for yourself.

The dPapillon has a footprint of 4ft x 6ft.
But you'll need to take into account that it's "only" 600 micromols/s coming from the lamp itself. So it will leave you about 250 micromol/m2s.

The dPapillon has it's advantages. Use the Daylight bulb at first. Then change the bulb in the system to a GreenPower at about 4 weeks before you harvest..

To be honest I haven't. They have been used since about March.
Growers have just been very positive about them.

I'm in the ordering process for 9 e-papillon 1000w fixtures. I'll be running these 9 fixtures side by side to a room of the same canopy dimensions of which I am currently running 12 standard 1000W hps bulbs in magnum XXXL air-cooled hoods.
I'll be keeping very close data and documenting my results.

Very excited and hoping to get my first plants in the room in just a couple weeks.

It would save you 25% of energy.

Thank goodness. The lack of independent documentation on these lights is surprising. Usually when we see new, hyped technology like this, companies like to put the equipment in the hands of the grower for some comparisons. Glad to see you're finally biting the bullet for everyone.

I'll be replacing a room as well and will be specifically documenting the entire process so other people on the fence can have some solid data to make their decision on.

The ePapillon 1000W is developed for 240V, but has a voltage range of 176-264V.
It is definitely no problem using them om 208 V.
