Blueberry OG came out very nice. Last year I chopped her around the 5th of Oct, the extra week added more color.

Trimmin up the chemdawg.... this stuff is hard to trim with it's protruding crystal covered callyxes. At first I told everyone to give it a light trim but, it looked sloppy so now they're manicuring each and every nugget. So speaketh the Trim Commander and so it doth pass into reality. Haha.. I'm loving all the old and new friends that came out this year....I'm happy and exhausted.

Got everything inside except for the strip down for the hash runs.....it's very lovely when ones expectations are exceeded. :D I guess I'm one of those types that deliberately lowballs so that I'm pleasantly surprised - works for me :)

Blue Sugar... This strain definitely needs some work. Some of the plants smell like sniffing a gas can and others are pretty much indistinguishable from standard Blue Dream. They got dense and huge towards the end...next time I would leave it until the 21st of October. If you look back towards the beginning of my thread I thought these plants were going to be a bust but I'm actually very pleased with how they turned out yield and appearance wise. The high I already know is superior to Blue Dream.. much more friendly.

This is a mystery plant. The lady I got the clones from was supposed to give me 10 Blue Dots (can't remember the lineage) but, she said they didn't come out nice..so...I'm not sure but that could be what this is. Average yield...Haven't smoked it yet but I think I'm going to like it.

It was a strange year critter-wise... unfortunately, we had to kill three rattlesnakes. The year before, none. This Taurantula showed up on the last day of harvest.. I moved him deep into the woods so he wouldn't get stepped on.

Still lots to do... I'll be back with some clean up posts... Giving thanks!!

Thanks, cheesebuds. The BB OG is stellar. It really smells like blueberries...also, I put one out in a 25 gallon pot and I'm sure it yielded over two, maybe even three. You can't go wrong with this strain...

If TARANTULA shows up it means:
Trust your intuitive senses - what you feel in your body - more than what you see. This is a time to shed anything that has served its purposes for the growth of your consciousness but now is no longer needed. Your sensitivity is increasing, particularly to the vibrations you feel from your environment.
Be especially gentle to yourself in the next few days, doing whatever you can to provide comfort and self-nurturing.
In spite of your sturdyness and strength this is a very sensitive and delicate time for you, so treat yourself accordingly.
Although you tend to stay in the background and by yourself, be willing to come forward as necessary for your own social and emotional nourishment.

That's what I pulled up on tarantula omens. I'm resonating with it a little bit... :)

Thanks for the support OldPro, it did indeed fly! I'm giving a lot of thanks.... The awesomeness is beginning to settle in.. :)

Real briefly, here are some of the things that I'm planning on for next year--

First, I'm going to dedicate a portion of my garden to Harlequin and other high CBD strains, make orally active extracts with it and, do some outreach and make this medicine available to people that are in need. At low to no cost.

I noticed that the soil I used from last year produced a better crop than the new soil that I bought. I'm going to study up on soil, how to add things to strengthen the nutes/biology after I tuck the soil away for the winter and about a dozen other things.

I was talked into doing a lot less compost tea as soon as flowering kicked in.. I didn't really like the result of that so I'm going to keep doing compost tea up to a month before harvest. Beyond that I'll probably stick to my current nutrient regiment paying special attention to making sure they all have enough N during those two weeks after flowering starts which is when I usually start to notice N defs.

Irrigation- I'm going to study up on irrigation and I'm definitely going to do drippers next year. I love all the hours every day used watering but I think I can better use all that time in other ways and still support the plants.

Strains and harvesting - I'm going to leave everything longer -- and make sure I use miticides/PM stuff -- so that I can focus on doing a layered harvest. It's insane how much everything denses up once it gets colder. Blue Sugar -- not going to grow this again, just didn't live up to it's promise of higher yields and more frost than Blue Dream. Blueberry OG - my go to, I'm going to do a lot of this - just watch out for PM. Chemdawg #4; the stuff that I left out until November 1st was much more resiny and had a fuller structure than the earlier stuff...Def gotta leave this one until Oct 21st at the earliest. I love this strain. Definitely going to do it again and try to dial it in.

Trim circle; I had a challenging time keeping up with everyone and explaining exactly how I wanted it trimmed. Had a few people that were "shavers" and took way too much off and reduced the asthetic of the buds- sure they can pump out 2lbs a day, but what's the point? Next year I'm just going to tell everyone to dig in, we're going to be here for a couple months...everything at a much slower pace, no rushing.. and I'll provide a couple good meals a day. :)

Alright, more to come... but, I think that's the gist of it..

Here's a pic of the dried and manicured Blue Sugar.

Bless!

Sounds like solid plans for next time.

I like your Blue Suger, it looks a bit like my Blue Monkey Haze...really hard to beat BD's yields, though...

For organic soil, check out the forum dedicated to it...I'd especially recommend looking at posts by jaykush. He really helped me a lot to do locally sourced / free amendments from the woods, and also to learn to grow nettle and comfrey and perhaps other plants in my garden to serve as the base for fermented plant extracts.

Good luck!

I'm always a little bemused when I see myself getting excited about next years plants.. BUT, that time has come!!! ;)

We had a really good year this year so, instead of a light dep, I'm going to risk playing with autoflowers in the hopes that the ease of use will offset the potentially lower yield and less potent buds. Been doing some research over in the 'cannabis social club' thread in outdoor growing, among other places and, so far it seems like Dutch Passion's Automazar, Think Different and, Autoextreme are the best choices for yield and potency.

This is going to be some good shiet. Yea.

I couldn't resist the urge today and I spinning round house kicked a tote of vermiblend...my kick landed weird and now my ankle is tweaked to the point where I can't walk on it..... elbow drops... sparta kicks... six hit combos... i can recommend all of those techniques against a tote... But Not A Spinning Roundhouse.

Right away I started thinking if I were injured I couldn't do all the things I need to do... setting up the spot I'm consulting on with the new sun surveyor I bought.. prepping smarties tomorrow.. setting up the cages... kneeling like I do to water my seedlings..

Autoflower thread coming up soon... the little buggers have all popped their heads out of the soil.. some are still eggheads with the seed shell attached... but just a few....

Couldn't post about this on Facebook... thank goodness for this place :)
