If it does revive to a proper plant then I was wondering if you could do me a dinosaur? I'd like a Baryonyx, if I could find a claw can you grow the rest back?

I'll keep checking to see if this suceeds if it does that'd be cool, just not seeing it, are there any fresh nodes left on there?

i am considering putting t4 aka(twiggy) outside for the winter,to try to reset her genetic clock ,or even setting fire to the twigs to try to provoke a survival response.in it's natural habitat it may experience either of these potential natural disasters causing it to reset of try to survive.time will tell all ! atb ww

I wouldn't put that twig outside for the winter, or some bird will have it for its nest come spring.

The problem is without fresh nodes it can't form new branches, it's like rooting a leaf, you can do it with Cannabis... but it won't grow into a full plant

I couldn't see any nodes but assumed there must be because cannabis needs them, some wooded plants don't need nodes but Cannabis does.

i agree in principle with what you are saying demonpigeon, but t4 (twiggy) and i have nothing to lose from this situation ,and everything to gain (possibly).the unknown will always be unknown if we fail to act ! i will find out either way for sure.as with cloning the plant has the ability to change its goals ! ie :takes a stalk and makes roots.i am taking roots to make a leaf! not so different ! all the beat .ww

I'd like to see you suceed especially because nodes are generally viewed as being essential so if they're not that'd be interesting to say the least. Cloning could be very different.

I've been wondering a lot though why you're growing twiggy from sticks instead of having taken a clone or re-vegged her at the end of flowering? Or made seeds?

Basically what it was that made her special but only a while after harvest?

yeah I agree to a degree that for a fun science experiment this is an ok idea. im pretty sure that it may harbour life soon (woodlouse/moss etc) but I think your flogging a dead horse.

it is just a bit of fun,i wanted the plant to breed from, for it better qualities ,but was too stupid and a bit unlucky to lose it ! it costs next to nothing to feed and takes up a tiny space in my room .if is was classed as an extra plant, big deal !
i do read quite a lot on here and one theme goes through all the posts,about losing a special plant ,or i wish i still had plant x.

I think she'd be a less controversial figure than margaret thatcher and she got one so I'm in.

Sobbing women and forlorn children are depressing enough without having hell's bookshop at a state funeral.
