Going ta sit this sucker on the floor in the room and run 4" ducking thru the floor-venting under the house (which has good air flow under the house)

Should work, no ?

I have a small fan I could add to the ducking ta help push the vent air out...

The idea is ta close the window to the room-close the door to the room and open the tent in the center.
That way I'm only cooling the room.
The room being off limits when lights off. .

I like that your grows aren't driven by profit. It helps keep things interesting...

As far as your ac is concerned... it doesn't come into contact with smelly air, right? A lot of the ducted window units I've seen, blow exhaust air from the fan/scrubber combo through the back of the a/c unit. What you are doing will work... Just asking some questions and sharing what I've seen others do.

It's a lot less stressful, that's fer sure...

Oh... How I will miss these seasons...

Tho...

I do plan to re-coup $2000 or so of my cost this season...

I like/prefer to sell beans in quantity/ bulk..

Already have pre orders of 150 & 300 Fem-seeds from a couple of last years patients.

They must be happy.. I get emails every couple months( Beans ready)lol

Hoping the Bay will allow be to offer bulk.. Fingers crossed. .

So the system works great and I couldn't be more stoked..

Still having heat issues and I'm a little stumped..
Going ta go ahead and call this thread a done deal..
7 days of fun & I Hope that y'all enjoyed as much as I have..

Moving back to my Main vert thread for the dialing in of my enviroment and all the fun that will entail.. yeah right.. Not a fan of summer grows... lol

Just so your aware of this, portable A/C units suck donkey balls.
They put out just as much heat as they cool off so its a stale-mate. Doesnt change or help a thing.
Use the window units and use inline intake fans to cool your tents. Take a carbon scrubber and run it through the lights and outside. This will take ALOT of the heat away from the lamps. Then use the seperate intake fans to draw in the cool air from the main room the a/c is in. Good luck man.
Thats a crazyamount of time, money, and work to have heat make it fail.
You've spent alot of money for this plan so a cheap carbon scrubber and an a/c will save your grow. Spend the money and explain to her why its absolutely imparative to the health and survival of your investment into this whole project. Im sure she will understand.

Hey AD, I was thinking you should try to duct the cold air to the tent so that it doesn't get sucked out the back of the ac... Yoou only want the hot air getting sucked out. Maybe even, dare I say, cut a hole in the side of the tent for the ac.

I used top-shelf portable a/c`s sealed and mounted "thru-wall" in all my smaller flip rooms where the heat was outside the grow areas and re-conditioned in the big ass lung rooms....and...

Alone`s right about wall bangers bein far superior to portables , but every piece of equipment has it`s place as long as it`s used properly and helps to dial the grow instead of take away from it....that said.....

Cut the and seal the hole around the unit to keep heat outta the grow area like Bobbles said.....anyways....and now......

Back to our regularly scheduled program......

I've got temps to 85-90 yet not digging the look/feel/vibe of the room..
Testing idea's and talking to the GF about (one more) toy.. 8" fan-scrubber combo..

The AC is a (window AC ).. Just not in a window..lol
Thinking about tossing in the window and using ducking ta feed into the tent..

Gotz a few ideas I'm playing with...

Thoughts and test continues on my main thread..

Guess my old ass head forgot or didn`t realize it was a window unit , but regardless environment MUST be gotten hold of with the quickness using that much medium and juice , or airborn nasties will form from condensation and cooling during lights off and then it`s back up and punt......

ALWAYS a learnin curve with every new setup , just don`t shoot yerself in the foot.......Mid 80`s light`s on never hurt shit in my setups , but lights on/off variables over 10 degrees did.....

Bro......You`re in a "MICRO" climate......Them bitches can`t be any more than what you dial and come up with for PERFECT ENVIRONMENT........

Gawd.....Just felt like Krusty there for a second.....LOL....70% RH till end of stretch , and as low below 50% till end of cycle with lights on/off ambient temps within 10 degrees or less if possible.....

Air exchange twice per minute to prevent airborn nasties in late bloomage with dehuey`s and a/c`s as needed...or.....

Sealed with CO2 and all the bells and whistles as well....regardless...Handle it my buddy.......

Kiddy pools FTW........

What we have here is a pool in pool Kiddie pool PPK..
Or something like that. ..

A simple PVC frame and 2 Kiddie pools = $35.00

How many plant's would fit in a kiddie pool?
Lots. ..

The idea is to be able to transfer 1/2 to 3/4 of the water from the bottom pool into the top pool within 2 minutes using 2 - 400gph pumps placed in the lower pool.

8 x wicks from the top pool(about 2" off the bottom) and a PWT at 3"...
