And again, that's because there are no plasticizers to make it soft.

Folds, folded over and over will lead to holes developing. Fold a piece of paper back and forth enough and it will develop holes along the crease.

The plastic used is essentially oven bag material, which I believe is a high temp nylon. It doesn't begin decomposing until combustion temps, which your vape bag should never see.

I do love the idea of an all glass vape though, and I think the market needs an alternative to plastic bags. The only problem is, plastic bags are the only real option for a smoke vessle. Maybe a tight knit cloth, but cost, and cleanliness would be an issue, if a plastic bag gets sticky, what is cloth going to do?

Idk just ranting...:ying:
A glass type of bottle shape ,easly cleaned with ALCHOL some company must be able to make one cheaply enough.

just bought an extreme q and so far very pleased with it. last vape I used was an eterra (plain and simple) so this vape with remote and accessories is like star wars. keeping temp around 370 - 380F works best.

Venus Vaporizer and Volcano are the only ones I've used.

Volcano is nice and after preparing things you just press the button and wait for the balloon to fill up and vapor quality is good and the construction and build quality top notch. It seems like a foolproof method for vaporizing and something I would get for my granny in case she ever needed medical mj.

But the venus vaporizer gives more freedom being portable with internal rechargeable batteries and it also is made of quality materials with superb build quality and efficient vapor production, being somewhat bigger for a portable vape and thus not sacrificing in other areas like some of the "stealthier" vapes.

After only 2 days of using it, I can already tell Arizer Solo was a good buy, despite being somewhat costy (at least over here they are). Heats up in a heartbeat and the vapor quality is high. Battery appears to last long enough so I can take this on a trip without cables... cause I don't need to smoke bowl after bowl after bowl. My previous vap (Vapolution) has no magic tricks against this one.

I think temperature settings 2-3 are all you need unless you inhale with superhuman powers... and too much visible smoke is a sign of failure, rite? ;)

It was, literally, a high time to begin saving my lungs and I think my bong is going to fly out of the window, and I didn't mean that literally.

I like the e- nano from epicvape. It is a small plug in log vape with temperature control, very efficient and tasty clouds. Heats in 2 minutes or leave it plugged in ready to use. Very easy draw through glass stem, or you can purchase GonG adapters to use with your waterpipe. Nice looking with choice of walnut, cherry or maple wood with possible upgrade using exotic wood, or laser designs. Getting plenty of good reviews, might need an adapter cord outside U.S.. Cost was around $189.

I just searched this thread for the Pax portable vaporisor, but nothing came up. Has anyone tried this model yet?

I just got mine last week and I'm really impressed with it.

I had the old version of the Extreme, before the Q version, it worked really well but sounded like a hoover going next to you, so not very relaxing, I also broke the glass ware on at least a couple of occasions and can't remember the last time I actually used it. I've also used the Volcano and it works great. I don't like the bag system much though, as it looks a bit hardcore like glue sniffing to those who don't use.

But the Pax is amazing, loads of vapour from such a small, stylish rechargeable unit. It looks so innocent, you wouldn't dream it was weed equipment.

Its not cheap though, but the company does give a 10yr warranty.

I'm getting off smoking, my chest suffers after years of abuse, so now its egigs for my nicotine and this amazing machine for my weed/hash/oil. I keep a couple of pipes on standby in case of vaporisor failure or when I get caught short with the battery running out.

Speaking of which, it will only give 1 1/2 to 2 hours constant use though, so may not last a full day out if you were using it a lot, but only takes 90mins to fully recharge on its docking charger, and you can charge at any stage of battery life without damaging the batteries performance. It charges at 9v's so a charging device from a vehicle lighter socket should be easy enough.

Cleaning is essential, but thankfully very simple, and it doesn't get any where as disgusting as a pipe, just a light but regular clean is required to keep this machine vaping away. It has 3 temp settings all of which work well, its just down to preferences of buzz and vape cloud thickness. The high setting gets a bit hot, but is good for finishing off a load, and still doesn't actually burn the weed, though it gets quite dark on this setting.

The oven/bowl area is a good size and will get two people buzzing from one chamber full, or one person really nicely mashed if you do it till its done in one go.

I tried some good old fashioned Thai compressed weed in it for the first time today and jeez that was lovely, proper nice heavy stone and an amazing amount of cloud from it. I was expecting less from it, but the vape brought the best out of this weed. It is some nice sweet smelling well cured Thai weed though, the type with the red cotton in it.

I'm looking fwd to adding some honey oil to some ground Critical soon and trying that, I imagine its going to be good. Bubble hash and ground bud works a real treat!!

Pax by Ploom, check em out on Youtube etc. Its top gear for sure ;-)

my dad has a pax.

we both agree its ok, but we both end up reaching for my Solo

I must say I've never tried the Solo, but I couldn't ask (or inhale) more than this Pax produces, and its stealth look, small size and ease of use on the move really makes this Pax a winner for me. I'm not saying its the best, but I couldn't wish for more. Each to their own of course ;-)

im more than happy with my arizer Q. it looks smart works well, and disguises itself as a pot puri burner when its not in use. i had my parents round and it was on the table with the pot puri in the top and no one mentioned anything!

i will say its a bit tricky to get the bag off sometimes so that volcano mod seems like a good idea! best of both worlds!

Finally got my hands on a sublimator. Literally just plugged it in and it's heating up. It's a bit of a funky setup. Definitely going to require a bit of dedicated space. Also it wasn't cheap, at all.

This thing is pretty weird. Nothing at all like any other vaporizer I've used. You get no smoke loss if you sit there and let it warm. At least theoretically anyway. You sort of have to do this, I'm sure I'll figure out how to use it better.

I will say this: I'm fuckin fried. Really fried. And it didn't take much at all. I much prefer this to my plenty, volcano and extreme Q. Bigger hits that seem to work better. More efficient.

It was worth what I paid (800 even).

Pax mods/extras ideas needed

Pax mods/extras ideas needed

Hi, my Pax is working great for me, a little experimentation soon gives away the versatility of this vaporisor. packed real tight, .4g of finely ground, and sometime a little concentrate in the middle of the oven, and you can keep yourself just topped up nicely on the low setting or more heavily hit on the medium and whacked on high. Also a combination of how quickly you want a full bowl to last, either hitting it up quick or making it last a couple of hours.

In that respect I can't sing its praises enough, however I'm very disappointed with how long the battery lasts as regards taking it out for the day, or even half a day, as I'm having to charge mine two or three times a day. I'm using it a lot admittedly ;).

So I'm looking for a way of carrying a potable pack for charging the unit on the move, maybe taped to the docking station in a small backpack whilst hiking for example. I'm sure I've seen portable chargers that are battery powered with a few batteries. I can see portable solar powered units, but that wont suit me.

Has anyone got any ideas?

The spec of the charger is as follows :- 9v 1.3A (11.7watts), but the manufacturer says that any voltage between 9 and 18 volts would charge the internal battery.

Its a real shame these units don't have a battery compartment where you can simply change the battery and thus carry a couple of spares, its the only thing that holds it back from being a truly useful portable. At the moment, its the only device I use, having recently given up, or almost, smoking, but to really do the job, I'd have to buy at least 2 or 3, which would be far too expensive.

Also, has anybody got any good ideas for connecting a pax to a bong?

Thanks, Trev

I owned an Arizer Extreme Q, using it for about 6 months. It worked just fine in getting one high/stoned, and is the only vaporizer I've ever owned. I must say I'm not overly enthusiastic about the taste afforded. And, I still prefer the more sudden sensation I experience with smoking, of crossing the wall (I know - somewhat strain dependent); smoking seems more of a sharp demarcation and I missed that some with vaping.

Anyway the glass piece with the frosted glass bottom, which is inserted with a little twist into the place where the heat is produced inside the hole, broke what holds the frosted glass piece in place. I must have applied too much force when inserting it and twisting slightly. That was the end of it.

Just to be different next time, I may go for the Arizer Solo or other portable vaporizer, so I can easily experience it in different settings other than my living room.
