So, the Big Bang is fully dry. Probably dried it out faster than I'd hoped, but meh...whatever.

Its had its final weight taken, and been popped into the jar for curing.

And the final weight is... 36.2g or just over 1.25oz.

Not too bad for the lil cramped untrained plant that it was. My initial guess was for 33g, so yea, Im happy.

Approx. Day 50 Flower
The CSS is almost there. Its gonna get the chop within the week. The GLP will be a few days later followed by the Doctor and WWxBB at least 2 weeks later (they're way behind).

WWxBB still has minimal trichome production. Looks pretty crappy, but smells great...and strong. The Doctor on the other hand has a nice amount of trichs, but has almost zero smell now...and what it does have just smells like grass/hay/plant. These two aren't very appealing right now.

Looking great mate :)

how are you coping with the current heat wave?

The plants that smell pretty "basic" at the moment might start to get a nice aroma as the trichomes begin to amber, alot happens with some strains in the terpene department around this time....Fingers crossed anyway!

Yea wtf with the heat ey. I've been good though. I run my lights overnight so its always cooled down by the time the lights kick on, thankfully. I need to get out of this house im in before spring/summer really kicks in though...its the hottest house I've lives in...and I've been in quite a few different houses.

And I hope you're right re the crappy smelling plant: the doctor. Im sure you are as reviews I read say it smells alright...so we'll see. The rest are smelling up a storm, so to speak...

Give the doctor some extra phosphorus for an improvement in the smell department :) phosphorus plays a role in terpene production and may help to improve the plants natural smell.

Update: Day 23 from seed.

All in all, coming along nicely. FIM cuts were mostly successful it would seem. Missed a couple and had to re do them, and mangled a couple leaves, but seems alright. Began to LST'd a few of them also as you'll see in the pics.

Gave them a feed a couple of days ago. It was a fair feeding. Most took it like champs, but the Tut and Bubblelicious both got a little burn...nothing too bad. Guess they're a little more sensitive. Good to know early on I guess.

2 - 3 weeks veg left I think to fill out my space.

So does sulfur. Epsom salts at a rate of .5 gram per 2 gallons or amending with gypsum at a rate of 1 cup per cubic foot will also improve smell.

Critical Sensi Star
Two days left for this lady, then chop chop. She's ripe n ready. This has been a fantastic plant to grow...and what a short flowering time. Its at day 53 and could easily be chopped now at 10% amber trichs, if I were so inclined. But I'll let her go a couple more for good measure, and those few extra ambers.

Awesome :)

Fat buds all over, and a nice big juicy cola. Think you will enjoy smoking this one mate!

Cheers dude. I think I will too. Either way, its gonna be better than the Big Bang I'm smoking now, which isn't really cutting it for me. Its ok during the day time, but has too low a ceiling and lacks that extra punch Im after in an evening/night time smoke.

Well, I chopped the Critical Sensi Star.

Took a couple of pics. All the pics I included were post fan leaf removal, pre trim...except the last picture which is a post trim nug shot. That nug was 24g wet.

Its now hanging to dry. I mostly chopped up the main cola so it would dry more evenly along with the rest, and got rid of the massive stem in it.

They're going to be some respectable buds once dried and cured, I think. Very very dense...rock solid. Decent amount of trichomes.

I took a wet weight and it came in at.........119.19g. So, looking at a dry weight of between 24g to 30g I would expect once we're all said and done. Shit all really, but Im happy since its more than I expected when I started to flower it with little/poor quality veg time.

Got a nice wad of scissor hash and smoked that almost immediately. Got me nice and baked. Was yummy too.

I now have the trim from this and the Big Bang I recently harvested so I might have a crack at a little QWISO run soon. I'll see if I can be bothered documenting that. If not, the final results, good or bad, will be seen.

And here is the White Widow x Big Bud at about day 58-59. Still has a little ways to go. But check out her colors. She looks beautiful, doesn't she?

So just a lil commentary on my plants atm:
Flowering Plants:
Of the flowering plants, my guess on the next to finish will be the WWxBB. Noticeable (albeit slight) swelling over the past few days. Maybe 5% amber trichs at most. Very sweet smell, definitely not low odor. Trichomes are small and unimpressive, both in numbers and size (and almost zero trichs on any leaves, including bud leaves). One positive is it has some of the hardest buds I've seen so far. But, as I've said previously, this one isn't getting me too excited. I'll probably only get maybe 14g from this little one.*
The Doctor might be next. Currently has the odd amber here or there. Smells a little bit similar to the WWxBB, but much weaker. Trichome coverage is good. Larger calyx size compared to the rest of the plants. Im interested to see how this one turns out. Expecting around 17g from this one.
The Green Love Potion is taking longer to finish than it first seemed it would. Barely any amber at all...I really have to search to find one. So judging by the trichs, this wiki be the last to get the chop. This is one of the best smelling plants I've come across. Really hard to describe though. Its quite a multifaceted smell. Definitely pick up the floral/lavender smell, but then it goes of into something else entirely. I'll be hoping for 21g+ from this one.*

Vegging Plants:
All doing quite well, with the Bubblelicious being the exception. That's a lil annoying as I was hoping to get a male and breed with it. But even if it is a male now, I won't be breeding with it. Its just not an amazing plant. That leaves me with the OG Grape Krypt and the Haze Special regs, and possible males. I'd be happy, at this point, if either of those plants decided to be a man. Both have good growth patterns and structure, the OG esp is stinky as in veg, nice vigour. So yea, I'd be happy to breed with them.
LST is going well. Aiming for 7-9 tops per plant...and looks like most are going to get there with most of them.*Still at least another week, maybe two of veg time...there is a fair bit if space left in that tent still.

Was originally going to finish in 14L pots, but now I'm thinking I might go with the 24L square pots. They basically take up the same space, but almost double to volume. That much more root space can only be a good thing, and will hopefully allow me to maximise my possible yield.*

Anyways, I'll keep up with the frequent pic updates for now.

Noticed the the Tutankhamon is a mutant... On one set of branches (the second set) it is growing 4 leaves at each node. I know this isn't exactly uncommon, but im still not really that familiar with it. What the are implications for the rest of the grow?

Mostly coming along ok...with exceptions. That being the Bubblelicious. What a fkn heap that thing is. Just gross, in every way.

Haze Special is probably doing the best of the lot. Its certainly required the most work in terms of LST at this point.

So yea, overall Im pretty happy.

RE the flowering plants: they're gonna get the chip in 3 days, regardless of whether they're ready or not. Why? Inspection...Im a renter. It'll be fine with the vegging plants, but trying to conceal flowering plants isnt worth the effort/worry in my opinion. Shouldnt be too bad. They're not too far off.
