I weighed and weighed again bc I was and still am stunned by the numbers I pulled off of these stacked screens. 1830g from 1600 wts. I vegged longer than I thought optimal, but this harvest could not have been any better. I'm still unsure if I'm going to reload it with wifi and Scott's again or monocrop one of them. my environment has been perfect t this summer in this room. this may have been a fluke, but I'm going to try to replicate the success I had this run. aside from perfect temps and humidity, I fed very low (1.0ec)with no additives except silica and drip clean. I'm still in disbelief. I will better document the next for those who care.

Ithink I'm going with fewer plants next time. 5 around 1k seems perfect in my small ppk, but the ceiling is a bit higher here, so maybe 4 bigger plants per light next time, or maybe I'll add 2 more 1ks and give the 4 plant 5 light tree grow a shot . in any case I finally get to say it.... my 18 site ppk is HOONIN!

Hoonin is a GOOD thingy......

Respect Bro....All things in time......Less is more , or more is better with smaller bitches....regardless of where yas end up with plant numbers......

The path to Nirvana is long , narrow , and winding......Some folks fight it and swap setups chasin yields , others dial shit and make it happen......

Thoughts to ponder....

Peace.....Freds....:ying:.......

I started growing with a single donut, and all my grows since(except the bed) have been a donut format of some sort. I am comfortable training around the light in a donut, so I instinctually arrange my st ups as donuts when laying out a room, but looking at this room with multiple bare bulbs hangin' makes me rethink what I'm doing over here. it's kind of a clusterfuck. trying to maneuver around all these pots and hoses and drip lines with hot bulbs waiting to burn your neck if you move a couple inches in the wrong direction. I'm thinkin fewer plants would make this room easier to move around in if nothing else.

HL`s plainly shown with the right hybrid and adequate "minimum as possible" veg time , that sky`s the limit with a 4 plant 5 light setup in a 10 x 10 ' area......

Handle it Otis.....

kind of wishing I had some screens to tie these lanky bitches to. these girls werer so viney and stretchy that I couldn't even get inside my donut screen to take a proper picture. they yielded as good as anything else I have, but a bitch to train. it looks like outs going to be some work to keep those lanky limbs from snapping once they start putting on weight

Hi, otis33.

An option might be to try 12 to 24 stakes per container and florist tape. There may be at least two types of florist tape at general garden outlets; 1) green colored `tacky` type; and 2) green colored vinyl type. The tacky type visually appears similar to green painters, or trim tape. It can be twisted around a given branch and stake to cinch the `tie`, without actually `tying` the florist tape into a knot, making it easier to adjust during later stages of development.

For the terminal flowers, an option might be to affix 2x4`s to the ceiling of the garden, then screw in 4 inch screws into the sides of the 2x4`s. Various types of string or wire could then be tied to the screws and hung down to be wrapped around the branches beneath the top terminal flowers. The garden shop might have generic `garden wire` near the tacky florist tape, or a roll of 16 to 18 guage electrical wire could be used, though the electrical wire might require a greater investment due to the copper.

During experiments with larger specimen in 10 or 20 gallon SRBGB`s we would begin by placing at least 6 to 12 4 to 6 foot stakes in an approximately 8 inch square shape around the center of the SRBGB. Those stakes would be used for initial anchorage of the strongest, most rapidly growing branches. We would then place a second concentric square shape of stakes around the perimeter of the SRBGB. The second, or outer perimeter of stakes would be used to support branches approximately 1/2 to 3/4 up from the base of the branch, for vertical support. If the specific specimen grew over 6 feet tall, or had branches that grew over 3 to 4 feet, we would then wrap the hanging wire around the top 1/4 of the branch, for terminal flower support.

We found that the most important aspect of anchorage and supports was, if possible, awareness of the particular growth traits of the cultivar. Some cultivars might require only 12 stakes per SRBGB, some up to 36 to 48 stakes per SRBGB. Arranging the stakes into the media prior to placing the specimen into the SRBGB was far more easier to manage, and provided anchorage and support from the outset.

It might be possible to affix stakes around the container at the current stage, if you do not want to disturb the root mass in the media, though that disturbance would perhaps be minimal.

We did find that angling the outer perimeter of stakes at approximately 45 degrees, or extending over and outside of the edge of the SRBGB, tended to create a branch dispersion similar to an upside down umbrella, widening the space between each of the terminal flowers and additionally permitting greater channels for light penetration into the center of the foliage mass.

The above might only be some gardening anchorage and support options; by no means the only way to provide anchorage and support to larger sized specimen.

We hope that this post might be helpful. Please post here or PM us if you would like for us to remove this post from your thread.

Kind regards,
/SRGB/

thanks for stopping in guys, srgb, I currently have been using bamboo stakes to splay the plants out kind of like a fan in order to get as much of the plant in good lighting as possible. this particular variety is much branchier than previous grows, so I'm going to need more stakes

4 plant 5 light set ups are the bee's knees. my next build will most likely be one too.

Chickenwire stapled to the ceiling is yo friend Otis....Go look how Big John opened his plants up for better lumen penetration/plant absorption with increased airflow around the lateral limbs.....

Awesome gpw Otis......Keep dialin Bro.....
