The Leffe is delicious but oh so pricey! 9.89 a sixer here abouts.

Great thread and I'm getting some good suggestions to try later on. I'm partial to American pale ales and Czech pilsners. Also I like the German style pilsners and the English pale ales; a good ESB is really tasty.

It's been a few years but I think I am going to start home brewing again, I used to brew an American pale and American wheat ale. I'd like to try dry hopping both of those this time around. Would like to try my hand at a pilsner this winter though when it's cooler around here.

Have to say one thing though,it's one thing to try beers from tap,and quit another to drink from say,a can or bottle,so I think the results could very greatly."All beer guys know this"

I was lucky enough to try a Pliny The Elder when I was in Colorado a few months ago.

Where I'm located though we don't have a very booming micro brew scene.

I usually drink alot of ipas. I really like the Bells Two Hearted Ale and Cigar City's Jai Alai IPA. I've been drinking more reds and also imperial stouts lately.

Been enjoying the Oskar Blues Ten Fidy Imperial Stout and the Stone Imperial Russian Stout. For reds I've been drinking the Oskar Blues Gknight and the Lagunitas Lucky 13. Both are very good.

Cheers!

Hell yea. Every now and again when I'm in Boulder I'll catch it on tap at Backcountry Pizza. They that even for them it's a one-keg-a-month treat and it goes quick. Apparently it flies off of liquor store shelves too! When you had it, was it served in a brandy snifter? Good choice!

That would be amazing to have one of the Pliny beers...
I hear Pliny the Younger is the better, but I would love to try either.
Nobody I know has ever had them

The best I've had by far is the Hopslam. I really can't imagine an IPA being more delicious. I bought a case and shared it with friends and family, and they all agree it's by far the best they've ever had.

I got it from the guy who owns Rambo's in Estes Park. I was out there for a wedding and had read good reviews about the store so I stopped in.

He and I had alot in common in regards to where I grew up and where he had some big moments in life. We shot the shit for about an hour and I had $100+ in microbrews. Mostly Avery, Great Divide, and Odell. He tossed in a shirt for me and just casually asked if I wanted a Pliny.

He kept a case in a fridge in the back and just threw it in for me.

Drank it straight from the bottle on the back porch of our rental that gave me a view of some awesome peaks. Felt pretty damn manly to be honest.

Pliny is great. Probably my #2 imperial or DIPA. #1 is Stone Ruination. A lot easier to find too.

Funny, but IMO Ruination is top of the class, but I don't care for their (Stone) IPA really. Much prefer Racer5, Ranger, Green Flash, Blind Pig, ... a whole list of others.
