Yeah purely subjective.....the stardawg we ran for years was/is the benchmark for aroma period....some more skunky than rks, believe it or not....your choice as the grower of the meds to take the plunge....I've said it for years......and Kyle stopped bye our booth in Co...has some flattering thing's to say about the company...but I've yet to see flowers or puff KKs star....I'm sure she's attainable.....

hi,
ive run the cut for the last year or so and she is a keeper for sure. little long outside to fully ripen but early 60s indoor. absolute stench machine. my favorite chem right now.
best,
30y

@Snype- true, most time in good environment you can feed out that variegation (if thats whats he referring to)

@30-i believe it. i dropped the real D,4 (as well as ecsd/od) when i found my stardawg. Running legit 4 next to mine this run, and still taking my star cut over it. Never had a complaint about dropping any of them either after folks started smoking star.
and fwiw- notariety and money win cups...not always the best buds.. lol

yup but this is apparently kks own selection, and he says its strong shiz. i doubt he would put his name to something which isn't that great... although i do agree with your post apart from that.

Can more ICMAG members who have grown this specific cut (Kyle Kushman) explain how the growth rates are on this plant? I have this cut but won't be running her for a while and want to get some ideas for my scheduling. If you were to compare her growth rates with another popular cut, please do.

that was my point, KK = notariety/LA collective with money behind him. Not saying his cut isn't fire, i could believe it cuz i found an amazing cut. But saying because it won a cup its fire...not always the case.

And if youve run any other of his KK cuts- not always that flame imo.

I am fully aware of this. There are cups all over the world. Certain cups can be more trusted than others. I wouldn't be saying this for the High Times Cup in Amsterdam.

Numerical or perception?

perception.. il take the numerical though if you got it. the way i look at it is if its not more potent than chem d why keep it. chem d is much more vigorous in veg and i like the smell better too. i real curious to know what you think

i just harvested this for the first time a couple weeks ago and it was on the same ebb n flow tray with much bigger plants so they got burned pretty bad. because of that the buds were airy. i just got my first feedback today though and they told me it was real bomb. it wasnt as bomb as this blueberry pie outdoor that comes in from cali though. i think i might be sleepin on it because of how it came out this crop.

high thc does not always make for potent cannabis resin. I.E. Blackberry kush..has high thc %'s but doesnt get me high at all....

This picture of some Stardog light dep. I have to say that the taste is incredible it coats your mouth. It's one of my favorite strains right now.

i dont know how you cant think its not a slow vegger cause i have the cut and its slow as shit. all my other cuts including chem d are much more vigorous and grow like twice as fast. im most likely throwin it in the trash real soon. id like to see some of your pics though. overall though i also grew the star dawg from seed im not really liking the strain in general. its not chemmy enough after it dries and its not as stinky as i would like

Be sure to let me know what dumpster you are going to toss her in

how long to finish her in the hoop? when i ran the cut outdoor she took a long time to ripen. fantastic quality though. paints your mouth with so much oil you cant brush that shit out. nice nug.

Nice! Thanks for the info! My KK Stardog is growing pretty fast and is looking more beautiful every day. She's not as fast as my other 2 Stardog pheno's but not that far behind either.

i smoked some kk stardog at dispensery that was labeled as his personal veganic grow...i thought it was garbage, DID NOT have the stardog appeal whatsoever, THAT's not saying yours wont be great, but i wouldnt put all my eggs in THAT basket, the strains i saw he was working on werent the greatest, maybe it was grow?, and the SF cup is BS and politcally swayed, I wasn't there, nor did i SEE the actual winners, but i DONT understand how a Sour Jack wins best Sativa over Heirloom Highland Thai???!!!! and Red Congo was 2nd, the lambsbread is a better strain, IMO....
