1000w Vertical Bulbs Digital or Mag ballast

Looking to go verical with 1000w HPS & MH bulbs. Need recommendations for Bulb & ballast set up? What is the best HPS digital set up example 1000w Ushio bulb with 1000w Lumatek ballast. Also what do you recommend if I go magnetic ballast? MH digital & Magnetic?

why waste money buying more ballasts? the lumateks are mh/hps switchable and dimmable

For a ballast most digital ones today can use HPS or MH bulbs and use 3 diferent wattages, but as far as blubs go a sunpulse or ushio in my opinon are the best HID bulbs on the market

Lumatek is a good chose for either, they have great warrenty replacement

I like mags.

You can get them switchable. And you can get 2-3 of them for the price of a digital. And they're repairable.

After losing a galaxy, and now my second NEXTGEN ballast today, I'm going old school once again and picking up a new mag.

Anyone else have terrible luck with the digitals like myself?

magnetics are antique technology....

Digi's dont wear out like mags do, they run more efficiently, less heat are dimmable, run on multiple voltages, run both types of bulbs and they can run super lumens which gives 10% more light.

That 10% increase in wattage will cover the extra few bucks spent to buy the digi in 1 grow.

The only down side, digi's cant be repaired like old mag ballasts can be.
