organics can get pretty complicated and this can put some people off - with all the teas and adding this and that to the irrigation water - what i hope to show is that you can get some great results just by keeping it simple. Admittedly my soil itself is fairly complex with quite a few ingredients, but i only have to mix or re-amend it once every cycle which is a pretty good investment of time imo. once the plants are in i like to just add water most of the time, no teas, no foliar i just dont have the time or space for that. at most i will add something to the water once a week.

hi all, the grow is 5 weeks in now and all seems to be well. i think ive won the battle against the few mites that were around.... i spray carefully with neem at lights out, making sure to mostly miss the buds. ive never had a problem doing this in flower.
lets start with the two bubbas.
here is the shorter one, although it is still fairly tall off the screen. this is how i get a good yield from the bubba

hi there, first the fat bubbas which are about 2 weeks in i think
the Purple Kush is 6.5 weeks in. most of the buds on this are seeded with bubba pollen

thanks ST for the kind words. tbh this round is solid but not my best work lol. as i mentioned, i was away for the most crucial week of scrog training so the canopy could be a little better. that said there are a lot of buds there even if the cola/branch height is a little uneven so im reasonably satisfied.

Beautiful grow VG!! I really like the all organic approach, I'm in the process of getting my composting all set from here on in going totally organic. just went out last night & harvested a huge patch of stinging nettles, most of which are going to be chopped up to go in the compost bin.. the rest, a couple of paper grocery bags worth, I was planning on drying & saving for future teas as I've heard it makes great teas for plants. Do you think dried, stored nettles will still work well for teas or do you think I'd be better off just composting them?
ATM I've got 2, 18 gallon bins stuffed packed tight & overflowing, and theres many times those amounts left to get... what would you do?? thanks!

zephyrcat - i think both methods would work, you should check out the fermented plant extracts thread in the organic soil forum... i think there is a thread about nettle tea too. you may be better to make the tea/extract from fresh nettles but i'm no expert at that.
i did a similar thing with comfrey leaves and the extract kept pretty well in bottles once the fermentation had stopped.
the two bubbas and the PK were chopped on tuesday, didnt have time to take any pics but i'll post up some dried bud shots and the final weights.. and some pics of the fat bubba plants next week.
