Wholesale pot prices plummet. Now there starting to get better

All well and good but you will understand why your opinion in a "Wholesale" thread is next to meaningless as your experience has nothing to do with the subject.

I'm glad you grow your own. Keep smashing and you'll never need the retail or wholesale market again!

:joint:

I dont agree, how much the end user is prepared to pay has a big influence on the wholesale price, besides the middle men squeezing out the profits.
Its true if it becomes legal a lot of people will start growing more outdoors. Quality will go up immensely as outdoor genetics will get more attention. It will be produced at a fraction of the price of indoors, and everyone can do it in his backyard.
This means the buyers market for top quality indoor will become very small. Only the best of the best(or most hyped) will be able to sell their product..

Perhaps, but this thread is a few years old and to my knowledge all the top shelf indoor produced gets sold into the market. People who do not grow or purchase pounds of cannabis have no idea what the wholesale market is doing. At best they possess hearsay knowledge from friends or forums such as this place.

just because everyone could legally do it doesnt mean everybody would do it. do you see many people growing vineyards in their backyard and making their own wines.

plus most potheads i know dont have the work ethic to maintain a good garden, ive had countless buddies put a few plants out in their backyard to loose them to mites, aphids, deer, and just plain neglect. and a bunch more who tried to run a small indoor closet and just fry all their plants...

When I got involved here we could get 4 at the dispensaries from a qp on up. Now 32 anywhere, anytime any thing in that top bracket. The retail market has locked in pricing and you're going to get robbed rth of a pack in the streets.

People wont even grow their own vegetables and most of those are pretty easy to grow compared to cannabis, and grapes. especially since people can just buy GMO veggies that are pretty much stupid proofed.

This is a bit off topic, but.... If a person grows weed right now, it doesnt pay to grow veggies because the time and space spent on the veggies could have been better used on more weed growing. The weed is so much more valuable that the money made could buy ten times the amount of food a person could grow in the same space in the same time.

I know a lot of people that grow their own vegs, fruits and or herbs. A lot of plants need more special attention than just watering and fertilizing. And lets be honest, thats all cannabis needs outdoors if you're using suitable genetics. Most people i knew that had enough common sense to keep their houseplants alive did more or less okay growing weed as well, most problems come from overferting which weakens the plants for other bad stuff waiting to happen. Acting as if its rocketscience to grow a plant thats been growing in nature by itsself for millenia is silly :)
But a lot of people that manage to grow a good bud suddenly considers themselve the pot gods, been there.:)

oh really, only watering and fertilizing? please post some pictures of your commercial gardens where you only have to focus on those 2 things....

you can throw a plant in a 10 gallon, give it some water and nutes, and forget about it mostly and yield a decent amount of decent pot. ive seen herb grown this way, by novice growers who just throw a plant into their backyard. its always subpar, fluffy as hell, not fertilized properly, with aphids and spider mite damage, super leafy....straight to the hashpile.

but if you want to grow 200 pounds of good quality pot you are gonna have a bunch of other things to take into consideration. to say that i only need water/fertilizer for my outdoor gardens is pretty much a slap in the face to me and my partners we bust our asses out there to grow these plants and it sure as shit more than those 2 aspects.

Prop's on point about outdoors and this is coming from a noob thats only grown a few plants every summer for a few years now.Dont get me wrong im sure I would of had better luck if it was in my back yard where I could tend to it every day.But even in your back yard its going to be alot more then watering and making sure you've got the nutrients on point.

Prop's on point 99.99999% o the time....!

I now work in managing a huge grow store outside CA. You cannot imagine the hare brained ideas I hear... In CA it was all about the top 10 percent of the growers. Same here.

No difference except the outdoor scene is limited due to summer humidity. Oddly enough, indoor soil growing seems more Popular here than it used to be. Hydro growers rare.

Good stuff still gets noticed. Even though it is a medical state.

My bubble hash has no equal
here, knocks them dead every time. It's all I smoke.

Seems prices are climbing back up. Was down south recently and most of the stuff was between 25-26 for nice outs blackberry kush, mk ultra, and a few others and these were for orders of 10. Indoor was all around 28-3 and up to 35 for the cookies and stellar OGs and such. A friend that goes back and forth from north to south quite frequently told me there is really no difference in prices which seems hard to believe. He also said most of the stuff down south isn't hanging around too long. Most is getting swooped up in bulk

to grow the best outside you need the right soil, the right sun, the right water, and the right grower...everything else is simple to procure

1 person can easily run a 500lb scene with zero help all year, except in fall. They just have to know what the heck they are doing.

Light deprivation is always my favorite. Somehow, it just worked out seemingly better and faster than indoors. Larger t.r.I.c.h.s , amazing product. Killer hash. Next year I will quietly do two light deprivation houses up in the woods. I never discuss this technique at the shop. It's my California grower secret. As if one couldn't read about it and learn. I do it too Bro!

I did 30 of these Kush dominant plants this spring. They turned out wonderful, solid. spicy, sweet, and strong as hell.
