the majority of the human race don't actually notice and are not aware that they are already massively programmed by the beliefs and assumptions of the society and culture where they have grown up and currently reside.

television is part of this programming mechanism, but obviously NOT the only one.

parents, relatives, school, kindergarden, church, friends, and many, many other sources are part of this programming

the internet and this forum ARE ALSO a part of this network

what folks DON'T NOTICE is that the majority of the things they think are TRUE and FACTUAL - are not so.

most of the things that people think are true, are nothing but beliefs and assumptions based on hearsay that comes from the sources that have been designed to program our stupid asses with all this BS.

and why do we need beliefs and assumptions?

simple: because we don't know something

where we don't know, we insert a belief or an assumptions and start living with this belief/assumptions as if it's true.

the problem with the majority of these beliefs is that they are NOT true.

and believing in BS that is not true gets us into a lot of trouble in life, and leads to A LOT of negative emotions and mechanisms to cope with these emotions including:

- emptiness/meaninglessness

- self doubt

- feeling trapped

- many other types of suffering

- struggle to cope or avoid these negative states

the above mentioned things are not something that happen once in a while, NO, for the majority of folks this is something that is constantly present, the only difference might be in how intense they feel these things that make them suffer and how much they have to struggle to manipulate these circumstances trying to avoid feeling them.

SO, while TV is a programming mechanism, the roots go much deeper

TV is mostly a tactic to avoid a reality that is painful

even, when you think you feel good and believe and assume it's just entertainment

TV is about social engineering and control.

every second you watch it, they shit their disgusting 'values' into your brain.

sex, violence and consumption - the holy trinity of totalitarian capitalism.

Fox is a conservative propaganda machine, so is MSNBC.

They are constantly trying to sell your mind, like I said, they use a commercial with a mother having blurry vision.

Another a girl is high and does something funny, and her fellows at school make her feel stupid about it. It was an "above the influence" commercial, but they're trying to influence you socially to think people who are high do stupid shit, while it's alcohol that actually does this. You may have a more creative mind, but a person isn't a blithering idiot while high.

Like I said, look at how any news show examines pot, and you'll find the same manipulation scheme in anyway they say. They take something once regarded as truth and try to destabilize one's view and make it seem as the expert will have the more correct one.

If you don't see it, well then...

Basically, what you're saying it that since you're not affected by it, that it's not a big thing.

Well, I don't care about people calling me stupid, because I can easily defend against it. This doesn't mean the people who actually are stupid, are not affected by it, called that or have to deal with that. Simply having a good IQ, would make for a very good point in my mind, that it doesn't affect me, but it doesn't make an outside point that calling people stupid doesn't affect them.

You're saying since you're not an idiot, it really doesn't effect you and is only entertainment, but I see a bunch of capitalists trying to sway your view and manipulation the public's view.

im sorry but you two are nuts. we what beleifs have they put in your head with you feel compeared to believe? didn't violence, corruption and everything else exist way before television... even more so infact.

Hey, now you're telling people that they think......TV invented violence, corruption?
What are you trying to say, anything you don't understand is crazy?
Your logic is horrid. Nobody ever said TV invented it. You really can't write off the fact "the sky is blue" because a crazy person said it, if in fact the sky is blue.

And they are swaying the people who are swayed,
and DO NOT VIEW the 20/20 story as entertainment.

David Icke, if you look closely, is not saying things at face value. He is an esoterically-formed story-line to tell the world, that our reptile brain - the one that is aggressive, eat, consumes and fucks...hijack our regular brain, and that people in power, are using this part of the triune brain the most and also manipulate based on our wishes that derive from that. He is using it in a bible sort-of-way of how we try to personify the forces that exist.

You think he believes all his work, and never gave any second thought as to if the critics seem to think the lizards may be allegorical, a Swiftian satire intended to alert people to the emergence of a global fascist state. In Children of the Matrix, Icke writes that, if the reptilians did not exist, we would have to invent them. "In fact," he says, "we probably have. They are other levels of ourselves putting ourselves in our face.

You see how at the end he identifies the reptile-self being in ourselves? Mammals are social and separate out all the impulses and translate them socially. The reptilian brain needs food and fucking. It's a vestige of the ego that keeps us alive and dominating with violence, and the mammalian brain is sometimes overridden so much by these impulse as to be anti-social and ego driven to the extent that these people have formed a network not based on love and communication, but hidden controls, that even the mammal is manipulated by way of activating of the reptilian brain.

You're the type of people that in 2013 start bitching about the NSA, right? And before, those people were all crazy. Until the time you need to be told by public announcement that the Patriot Act was signed October 26, 2001.

TV is simply a reflection of the society and culture in which we exist.

These beliefs were being programmed into our minds before TV came along, this is TRUE.

But, after TV came along, this programming was taken to another level.

It became massive and under the control of a few freaks.

You are 100% programmed by the society and culture where you exist and where you grew up. What you are doing on a moment to moment basis is interpreting all incoming DATA and providing it with meaning using the beliefs and assumptions that are part of your programming inside your self-mind.

You don't see reality as it IS, you interpret it and provide it with meaning based on what you believe and assume. This all happens inside your imagination, because all of our organs of perceptions are secondary processes, meaning that we can't perceive anything directly, but only inside our self-mind, inside our imagination.

If you are not aware of this, then you are completely living inside your own made up story in your imagination as a made up character, and believe that you "know" who and what you "are" and know what existence IS and what life is really all about.

All of this is conceptual, and is based on belief and assumption.

In other words, you might be confusing a conceptual self-identity with who you really are as a "Being."

it isn't like you have much of a choice. advertising (and TV is 99.99% advertising) has progressed to such a scientific level that they can play on your neurotransmitters like a piano. there are some things you just can't filter out consciously because they are designed to bypass your higher brain functions and utilize functions that are hardwired into every human.

well put it this way, if I buy a product I like, its because I like how it looks or works and is readily available to me...
if I eat something it is because its what I like to eat.

if I lived in a mud hut with no media and no tv, my priorities would still me exactly the same, media really doesn't effect the decisions I make in my life. all media does for me is present me with whatever is going on around or what's available to me.

if you feel like its that easy to be manipulated by media maybe you need to question how easily you are convinced by advertisements or whatever.

some of the things you have said about perception are completely stupid. say for example sight... my eyes interoperate light and the signals turn this into an image by my brain. is that your idea of secondary perception? because if it is, no living organism can interoperate reality any other way, and without living organisms the concept of reality or perception has absolutely no meaning anyway.
so that perception is the only perception whether it be touch smell sight or whatever. how is that not real? its the only real there is..

if on the other hand you are talking about about preconceived ideas or perceptions based on life experience, media or whatever.. that's a completely different thing based on culture and what ever a person has been subjected to. its not a profound idea that your thinking about. especially everybodys reality is slightly different because we all have a unique perception. theres nothing profound about this what so ever.

imagine it from another angle and you wipe a humans perceptions and beliefs etc. you basically would have no function at all. if we were all like that we wouldn't even be able to comtemplate reality because we wouldn't have any knowledge of anything. and at at the moment you became conscious you would start start building up these things again anyway. wiping everything like that would pretty much be like devolution. if your some kind of spiritual nut you might think that this is your ''true being'' or whatever but you wouldn't be able to appreciate that because you wouldn't have the concept of it anyway.I don't get what your point is?

they play on the subconscious mind, if someone tells you they are gonna sell you something them start their pitch and you know what they are trying to do you still reserve the option to make your own choice right?
yeah im not gonna lie the science of advertising is pretty advanced. but money and consumer goods are not the be all and end all. theres much more of your life beyond those things.

to really grasp what I'm trying to say you would have to put your beliefs and assumptions aside

if you don't, all you will do is interpret everything through those beliefs and assumptions

meaning, you will not see anything new in your perceptions, but the same old stuff that's there now

if you want to simply confirm that your beliefs and assumptions are right, then that's okay, but if you want to grasp the true nature of anything, the first step is putting aside your current beliefs and assumptions and entering a state of not-knowing

this is the ONLY way to have an insight

I don't have any set beliefs about society. its pretty pointless saying that if people don't conform to your way of thinking, that they cant let go of their beliefs or assumptions. im open minded to any ideas that has some credibility based on scientific fact or reality.

the problem with individuals like yourself, is that by choosing to ''not conform'' you are actually just conforming to something else. kinda like goth's or emo's.. being ''different'' you just end up still being the same.

I don't have any set beliefs about society.

lol...you really believe that? The fact is that all you have is beliefs. There is nothing outside of beliefs in our perceptions. Everything we perceive, interpret, and provide with meaning occurs inside our self-mind, inside our thinking, inside our imagination, and it is all 100% conceptual, all based on beliefs and assumptions.

If you are not aware of this, you are simply are NOT AWARE, and you are like a fish swimming in water not being aware of the water.

You probably believe that you perceive reality directly, and that everything you see is exactly the way you see it.

...your body is not made up of atoms, cells, body parts, etc...it is simply and fundamentally a body, and that's that. Right?

its pretty pointless saying that if people don't conform to your way of thinking, that they cant let go of their beliefs or assumptions. im open minded to any ideas that has some credibility based on scientific fact or reality.

what's really pointless is saying that I want someone to conform to something. I'm simply pointing out a few things I'm aware and conscious of. If your interpretation of reality is different than mine, then that's where you currently stand. But, please don't say that you're open-minded, especially in relation to science or what you're calling reality.

Science is not the TRUTH, and can only refer to or represent the truth...

...but most of the time it is simply based on false assumptions and mis-representations, or better known as LIES :blowbubbles:

And, what you're calling "reality" is nothing but YOUR interpretation of "unknown" data that your self-mind gave a meaning to and provided you with an emotional charge so that you would know how to act in relation to any circumstance.

...in other words, the majority of human beings are programmed robots, more or less.

There is NO objective reality, the way you think there is, and this has been proven ages ago by the few scientists that are actually interested in the truth, instead of simply confirming their own false beliefs and assumptions, as the rest of the charlatans in the scientific community.

Science is mostly a mechanism for the wealthy global bankers to control folks like you and hold you on a short leash. :)

...and it's working out really well.

I just love it when folks start relating to science, especially in relation to reality.

The majority of scientists believe that all occurences have a CAUSE, but if this is SO, then there can be NO beginning, NO Bing Bang, because the FIRST CAUSE had to come from NOTHING.

This NOTHING seems to get swept under the rug, and all theories start with the secondary causes, but the primary reality somehow continues to be ignored.

WHY?

Because they DON'T KNOW the fundamental nature of this reality, and no one knows either.

But, everyone behaves as if the do...and that's funny.

...btw...I don't know it either, and have no beliefs or assumptions about it.

I have directly become conscious of it though...and the only way I can describe it is nothing, but this is NOT what we usually think of as nothing, but there is simply NO word for it in our shared experience.

Whatever I say about it, will NOT be it.

the problem with individuals like yourself, is that by choosing to ''not conform'' you are actually just conforming to something else. kinda like goth's or emo's.. being ''different'' you just end up still being the same.

I am not against conforming or for it, I'm outside of it.

I exist in a state of not-knowing, and simultaneously in the present-moment.

btw...this is the only way to directly experience "living."

the other option is to be hypnotized by the self-mind.

the choice is always yours (ours).

why not?
obviously the fall is just in your self brain's imaginatron..
this is conditioning you received through your someone-else-mind,into your self-mind via societal their-mind propaganda.
once you let go of your id and super ego you can step out of your secondary perceptive self and realize there is no bridge so jumping off of the imagination wont hurt you.
