Check N Help (LED grow)

Hey everyone,

I would appreciate if someone can help me identify the issues I am having with my current grow.

Well my next grow will be 100% organic but currently I am using chemicals. Here are the details of my grow so hope someone can have an input.

Grow lights: A300 VIPAR
Nutrients: Hesi (and some molasses in between waterings)
Grow Medium: Soil
Pots: 60 liters custom made pots
Grow method: Scrog + CO2 (propane burning)
Plant strain: The Ultimate (Dutch Passion)
Day temps: ranging from 29 to 35C (summer time)
Night temps: 25-29C
Humidity: Day 60% to 75% without the dehumidifier / 50% with dehumidifier
Ph: 6.2 - 6.5
EC: N/A
Brix: 8

Plant problem: During vegetative stage which I am using 200W x2 CFLs, no plant issue was seen even though light penetration to the lower branches was not ideal.

Now I am in my second grow and I am experiencing the same problems when switching to flowering as the first grow. I understand that during flowing the plant loses it's leaves a bit but the rate of drooping is worrying me. Check the images below as they are of the current grow images.

I installed a scrog screen to the grow a bit late, so the plants didnt grow into the net, but they were carefully bend and tied down for as even light distribution.

Some leaves are yellowing below the screen and turning brown. The first thing that comes to my mind is that the leaves below the scrog are not receiving light and are yellowing. Yet I have cut and cleaned 80% of the unwanted branches but maybe I should clear 100% of the branches below the scrog. I would appreciate if LED growers can confirm that leaving anything below the scrog is pointless. Note that leaves above the scrog have no signs of deficiencies.

P.s: Some light penetration is going down because of the fan that moves the leaves which allows the light to penetrate.

Check pix and share your thoughts pls.

Mine do that below the scrog too. It's dark under there with not much light, the plant doesn't need those. Try trimming your plants all the way up to the trellis, you don't want any larf growing under there anyhow.

hey krustallos thank you for your reply.

I would also appreciate other members to have their thought on whether to confirm this is strictly light problem which is " yellowing leaves below the scrog due to no light"

My plant is doing the same thing growing under leds. I'm not using lenses, so it can't penetrate deep into the canopy.

alright then I had the feeling this was the reason because everything else except for little high temps in the range of 32-35C. I will trim the leafs below the scrog.

i missed! I double checked my record and apparently I was either high or high to say mid april. It has been flowering exactly since 15/6/2012.

The bottom leaves have been mostly removed, yet I do realize some of the same yellowing above the scrog. I have shot a video where I would be pointing with my fingers where the yellowing leaves are. I would like to clear out all possibilities that there is no deficiency and that it is mainly light penetration issue.

Basically it is hard to have a clear view under the LEDs but if you scroll up this thread, you can find the leaf pictures.

Please have a look and share your thoughts.

WOW!!!

Sir, i am impressed. :tiphat: Them girls look very happy.

That LED panel is doing a great job. I'm amazed those stalks are that long. Any reason you made them do that?

During the last few weeks before harvest, marijuana plants starts pulling all the remaining nitrogen from her leaves as part of the bud-making process. This causes yellowing leaves starting towards the bottom of the plant. This is part of the natural flowering process and you don't need to fight it.You may notice that marijuana leaves are yellowing in almost all pictures of marijuana plants with big buds that are close to harvest.

Hey Kiwi, I didnt do anything special but I assume they have grown big because I vegetated them longer than the usual because the flowering room was still busy.

Thank you for your reply!
