Rosetta's New Cab

Hey guys, finally got around to starting my new cab grow. Popped a Northern Lights x Skunk fem. Gonna be a scrog (if I can find a piece of fence) or major LST, as the vertical space is rather limited. Soil is recycled from my 12/12 from seed grow. Only problem right now is the temp, of course I germed the seed as a heat wave hit, but I'm keeping it around 92-95 degrees in there right now. The seedling doesn't seem to mind, she has mulch and enough water.

Here she is, a few days after popping up:

Wish me luck! :tiphat:

Hey RS:tiphat:, This grow looks promising! I will be watching all the way.

Your seedling looks healthy, although I am not sure how safe it is to have dead leaves on the soil. When they start to rot they might attract cannabis hungry molds and insects. I may be wrong on that, i don't know for sure that dead leaves would do that. Maybe wait for a few other IC'ers to chime in on that...

Good luck with the grow i don't doubt you for a second.:ying:

BTW love that rock! Adds Great aesthetics to the grow.

looks great. Would love to see more pics of the actual cab! I am assuming you are using an organic soil mix judging by you saying it was recycled...

The dead leaves should be ok as long as you have the proper ammendments in your soil, like neem and crab meal. everyone's tells me the same thing about the leaves but I think they are a good thing in organics. I could be wrong though.

It's more so used as a natural mulch.. not to feed your plant... I am not going to argue about it, because it some systems, it would be a very bad thing, in other's not so bad.

To each their own.

Thanks for stopping in everyone, hopefully she doesn't mind the heat much and everything goes well.

kiwi_growa I think it makes a fine mulch and adds some organic material to the soil. It didn't hurt the plants I did last round, they seemed to like it actually.

ceylon Haha I like the way you think

soursmoker Yes the soil is organic, the leaf mulch seems to work for me. I have neem that I will use in a foliar spray on her. I can take some pics of the cab next time, it's not the prettiest thing, but it gets the job done.

Hey guys, the little girl is doing well:

I'm gonna do a little LST first, then I'm gonna put some chicken wire over her and do a scrog.

 lol

Alright here is the cab from the outside:

I built it from scratch, it's not perfect, but it seems to be working pretty well so far. Door shuts pretty tight, and I made a hole for a padlock for addition security. It's normally completely hidden from view, so the look isn't important.

I tried to take a better shot of the inside, but it was too cramp for me to get a full shot:

There's the growing area below, and then above it an area for the carbon filter/ vent fan. I believe it has slightly more room than my last cab, and the thing is damn sturdy so it should last until I want to make another one for sure.

The little girl is growing rapidly. I think it's one of the more vigorous plants I've had to date. I wish I could put some pics up, but my camera got messed up visiting the outdoor plot, so I'm not sure when I'll be able to post pics next, but hopefully soon. Really though, the growth for just one week is really fantastic, I think she really digs the recycled soil. Soon I'm gonna put the screen in and start training her. I'll be sure to post text updates until I get a working camera again.
