Yes this is true, but, I can attest to how ignant! the fuzz are. Since the good Prez said back off 99 plants or less, Oregon has been fine. Only down in the "Rogue Valley" area there is a Sheriff " Ray " on a personal vendetta to fuck anybody. He is a legend in his own mind! Now people with a card or two in use, most police don't want to deal w/ it. The Two officers in Mult. Co. in charge of complaints are the coolest mellowest cops I've ever dealt with. We were in compliance, our landlord snooped without consent, called his att., he called the fuzz, and they appeared. My cancer battling brother freaked out and I took over as his grower. These two officers were flat out cool, and very calm. And I hate cops! So depending were your @, you can float, or sink. But that is the problem when federal stature can flatten state jurisdiction. Ultimately, the feds can do anything they want if they say you threatened the country's safety . Also, anything that goes across a computer is routed thru SF on the west coast, and a bunch of analyst's hunt for key text to find bad people. There is no privacy. Phones ,cells, etc. For real... Jeff

I grew rouge my whole life. Back in the day when my buds brought 4-5k an elbow. Days long gone. I'm an injured carpenter, collecting no compensation of any kind, and I need the smoke for pain relief help. Even if I had excess product, I wouldn't sell it ( non-compliant) and, these morons around here sell dank for 130 a Oscar. I have a 8 ingredient soil mixture and w/ power and water and four months, how do you pencil that out? 99% of the cops are onboard w/ Oregon law. Also, the feds ID weed as cannabis sativa. Grow indica , and with a good mouthpiece you'll beat it. It's on the books. Are we really ever truly safe with this capitalist system?

cards here in Cali we can get 2 kinds one is the state card looks like a CA DL. This one is tied to the DMV database.

the other card I have this one is from a canna doc they have there own cards that dont go on any state database. there # on the card to call to check if its valid plus I keep the original signed recommendation in my wallet.

The grow has a copy stapled to the walls..At least this gives my a possible defence if they try to stomp on my rights when they arrest me..Say nothing and have a Lawyer $$$stash..

The gov wants to know what you ate by looking through your shit to find it. Bunch of bastards with worthless jobs. Its about$$$ it will always be about $$$.

So many would lose there ass if cannabis where legalized Across the states.. Big pharma is one that stands to lose with all there poison pills. I know cannabis would take a few of these drugs off the market. They would lose Millions this is why they fight so hard to keep a really healthy alternative unavailable. they just want to push there poison

They fight so hard to keep a medication off the market when we have cigarettes and Alcohol that kill thousands every year it just makes no sense to me..

OK Rant OFF:)

Did you see what happened in Wyoming? Just today the Oregonian was even saying how the nation as a whole thinks weed and it's demons are highly exaggerated. Also, look @ washingtons decrim law, there's holes in it. You still need a card for real non-arrest protection. jeff

In the book the Emperor wears no clothes, it states that more than 300 pills could be replaced , helped, or just use organic equivalents from the weed compounds to replace many products that are made by major drug companies. I'm sure you know the book, it got Willy tossed in prison!

well ur right... butttt. the Coch brothers .. Halliburton.. and other very rich people.. who contribute to certain political partys are paid off to allow the rich to get richer.. PERIOD.

or how the COCH brothers pay for Americans For Prosperity.. they say its to help us.. but really all the AFP does is HELP THE COCH BROTHERS GET RICHER.

the rich buy elections .. just so they can get what they want from them when the time is right...

go look up How Halliburton is charging our government 250,000$ for a 40-50,000 $ vehicles in Iraq.. or.. how we put our American soldiers at risk .. to transport empty loads threw dangerous areas..

or how if a 150,000 $ Mercedes tractor trailer pops a tire.. we burn it and buy more . or how over in Iraq.. they use cars like we use fuckin Disposable Razors.. just trash them after a few uses!!!! we wonder y we are in debt.. well. wen a company can over charge our government tax dollars.. ? what the fuck is going on in this place?

sorry for rambling. I saw a very interesting documentary on this shit.. and its ridiculous how we waste money..

look it up.. It makes u cringe wen u think about the trillions wasted that could have been used to save Social Security.. and medicare.. but nope.. the coch brothers need there 100million dollars worth of houses .. never mind everything else they have.

this is news to me. where'd you come up with that? my understanding is that the state records are protected just like any other medical records, which are not tied to dmv records.

I would never register for any of these databases. The state doesn't make you register to receive any other kind of medication. In my honest opinion I believe they dangled out some rope hoping people would hang themselves with it. Especially considering it is being taken advantage of by people who want to smoke "legally". Anyone with the cash to pay a doctor for their card can achieve this.
I think those with real chronic diseases will be ignored, but 20-somethings just looking to get high without fear of being busted are going to be scrutinized. Just like non-medical patients using the card to grow to sell to friends will be most likely shutdown. I'm staying underground and anonymous about my MJ usage until it is 100% legal in all 50 states and federal government. Until then, grow on and happy toking.

6. Commercial growers who depend on the huge profit margin to make money off the plant. This includes the seed vendors as well.

I don't think many people take into account that the pot market itself is relying on the illegality of the plant to keep it worth producing. The reason why so much of that California "medical" marijuana is being sold on the East coast. Otherwise it'll look like any of the other commodities which price bushels of the stuff at mere cents, not dollars. You would probably be looking at cannabis being sold by the bushel (60-70 lbs) for $1.50. Seed vendors would be selling by the pound for mere cents instead of 10 seed for $70.

sure, commercial growers and dealers do not want the plant made legal, but they don't wield the power that the other 5 groups do.

in otherwords, i don't know of a commercial growers/dealer lobbyist in DC bugging congressmen and senators. and lining their pockets to get them to vote against legalization.

no doubt illegality drives the prices up, but commercial growers only hope they don't affect policy.

I think you are underestimating what some commercial growers do. I know of one in particular which was definitely hostile towards anti-prohibition groups and regularly donated to both the police department and prohibition advocacy groups. Those advocacy groups lobbied politicians and community leaders.

I have also read about mmj advocacy groups lobbying local politicians to keep the mj trade a shady grey zone. Enough to protect their own interests, but not too far that the prices would plummet.

Don't underestimate greed, even from people who wear a smile and put on a show of trying to help others.

If you're a grower, don't get your card. If you're a hustler, don't get your card. If you're a patient who needs safe access or a rec user who purchases for personal use, get your card. It only makes sense. Notice how they don't come into Colorado? It's because our mmj infrastructure is massive in respect to the population size, and they will have a war on their hands if they do. Stand up, stand together, stay alive and stay free. Getting your card is a way to say "yes" I do smoke cannabis and I believe in it's healing properties, so does my doctor and my state legislature.

i understand greed, america is built on it. pisses me off !

but, a single grower donating to a local PD does equate to the alcohol, tobacco and pharmaceutical industries.

it pisses me off that dealer/growers donate to my enemies, but they are gonna lose that war. times are changing. ;)
