I'm really enjoying the Dubtech #7. Perfect footprint for my mini SOG with a strong self supporting structure. Definitely gonna keep her around and dial her in. This round I switched cal mag products and ended up with some deficiencies early on. I think next round I might go with moderate base nutes and heavy cal mag. Does that sound about right?

Depends on the substrate. I normally run rockwool so find more than enough cal mag in the standard nutrients I use. No calmag supplements.

I'm using roots organic soil and liquid nutes with RO water. I've always added GO calmag; without it there are deficiencies no matter the strain. I also use protekt and hygrozyme. The nutes end up with a ph of 4.6-4.9, so I've always ph'd to 6.0-6.3 with EJ natural up, and never had a problem, but the extra potassium always concerned me. This round I decided to try roots organic elemental instead of the GO cal mag; I figured the lime would eliminate or reduce my need to raise ph. Turns out elemental is actually highly acidic, so I ended up using too much potassium bicarbonate to bring it up. I had signs of potassium toxicity and mag def, so I switched back to go calmag and things stabilized.

I water and feed my plants on the same schedule, so it's crucial that all plants be at the same stage growth wise. This round I had a straggler that I threw in flower anyway. It always seemed like it wasn't dry enough to water, but I kept it on the same schedule as the rest. At day 47, it has the greenest, healthiest leaves of all, and the bigger plants have yellow fan leaves and were always a lighter green than the runt. I'm thinking I need to increase my water and feed frequency during the last 4-5 weeks of flower from three days to two.

I apologize; I shouldn't be mucking up your thread with questions. I'll keep them in the SDF thread from now on. Just wanted to thank you for the work you put in the strain. She's a beauty; I'm excited to finally have a keeper to work with.

hey humble. do you think that the dt7 is vigorous enough to grow into a large outdoor container (200 gallon)? what are your feelings on the adub or odub outdoors in large containers? i know that the ether cut does great in big containers, wondering how this offspring would fair. thanks man.

Just noticed this in my subscriptions...I'm not humble guy...but I'm high enough to have started answering the question so I might as well finish...humbleguy and grow tech worked the seed project...hg found a pheno-dt7- that is awesome for scrog and tasty and stony as hell...KRD was gifted some seeds and found a dub and odub...he looks for stretchy plants w lots of fat budsites for his style...they are all three top notch strains..depending on your setup..every one would be happy w at least one of em
As far as outdoor in big containers..well..I grow huge 7 foot adub's indoor that yield like monsters..I imagine she would do very well in sunlight...but have no experience there..if you try it...bend her over 90° when she between 3-4 ft and they will go crazy

Sorry humble...just high and typing..didn't mean to jump in..haha

Edit: and one of my favorite projects to come out of the dago community

Another project complete, I'd say it was a success. I know with a larger population something better could be found but I'm happy with what I got. I'd say the stability, based on traits passed from each parent, is excellent. There is 50% representation of both parents present in almost every characteristic. One thing stands out though, yield. Huge yields with this girl, atleast 50% larger yields than either parent's potential.
