Even though its just about the easiest thing to do on Earth, theres a real feeling of accomplishment when you see those little brown babies poking out of the calyxes. You've done a great job, jenery. Im really excited to see the V finish up.

I went through my seeds today and promised myself to run a few seeds from each V pack when the new grow is up and running.

Let me take a moment to say more about the Creation of the strain : Vitality

Let me take a moment to say more about the Creation of the strain : Vitality

Agreed:)

I can really see like 80-90% of the red kali in that girl, btw!!!
I was faithfully hoping, perhaps almost certain, that this particular type of blend of genetic set would occur after the initial F1. It's what I meant by 'self-stabilization'

And now, your F3 will have the same type of thing happen, as it was before, where we used the red kali as the female mate to the male 'flo' mate. Hence....that your F3 will seem to be self-stabilizing into a kind of much more rainbow pigmented and more resin covered 'red kali' that maintains the same class/category of high, and too, the same physical structure as the 'red' kali keepers like to keep exhibiting.

I do believe,...that the said- 'red' kalimist is nothing new, as far as to say...a new type of plant package goes...in the ever-expanding tapestry of cannabis seed strains in this brave-yet-new world.

I think there's at least few ancestral, foundational lines, out of which red kali basically came into stabilized creation from. Tbh ...but that's not to imply it was much more than a mode of continuity, or body which the old seed could inhabit and prolong it's legacy within.

^that's what we actually tried doing in/with the making of Vitality.
...To give the F8 strains a new 'flesh' as it were, but primarily...one for the important red kali to inhabit and enjoy and survive inside/from and be better able to walk around the world with greater guarantee of successful existential duration.

The flo dad was a tired out life who needed to find a fresh pathway in order to be more attractive to humans in more ways than it had been at the F8 point she frailed finally into. Because her seed was a tough sprout more often. She was 1:1 -ed and indoor grown/bred almost til it hurt. She was in pain. -at least from the way I saw her.
....Her branches were woody, her day hours for triggering budding was about 15-17, which made her an issue to try to propagate in or near the sublime Tropics or super sativa hotspots.
She was a sativa look-a-like who was becoming lesser of a sativa survive-a-like. Imho

Anyhow....so to be brief and to the point....

Elevator Man found a great, non-mutated flo selection which was appearing at least semi or adequately stable, in form, function and linear dominance. Iow a favorable appearance ratio.
-but he was getting bogged down with his occupation imo, and I could see that it was high time for him to pass that there 'torch' lol. Perhaps u saw as well the few seeds he was netting at each new generation.

That....and the years of flo pics he posted and posted, plus, the fact that he couldn't share with us via some suitable outlet, as we continued to drool over his years and years of flo grows here.

That's why we made Vitality.

And that's why it had to go to seedbay, non-profit and at an affordable price point!!!

And the reason I post and post my thoughts, ideas and defining vision of Vitality, is to ensure it begins with a quick burst of momentum and enthusiasm into as many interested hands as possible. -That's how I figured we needed to it.....to basically advertise and advertise through the site, and for at least a full year or for as long as 18 months if needed.

One major way was with the ic strainguide write-up.
-it was languaged in a very definitive way with good medicinal and scientific design, in mind.
...Again...to set it apart and sort of 'up' high so it could be seen as being a stand-out and stand-up strain/venture...having a future-oriented tone which would later be easily recognized and then utilized by the medical communities throughout and in a clear, abrupt fashion. Such is the name Vitality and it's eventual name written on the prescription pads. Given, of course that she proves herself beforehand.

Then also....a further vehicle of promotion.....(Subconscious or subliminal advertising, if u will)
...there's my ic article this year, in the site's e-magazine, IC4.
-A lengthy/extensive piece that piques the audiences interest in the virtues of vintage american sativa lines, of rare connoisseur quality.

And lastly....there's wonderful and happy results/testgrows, such as your Nice nice Thread here, that u made Jenery. We do thank you, from the bottom bowels of our Hearts, for your effort and documentation herein.

-Regards, Kind Sir ;)

Day 65

Day 65

Thank you wildgrow, it is truly great to see all these little seeds popping from all the buds, so much promise for them to grow up to be beautiful plants in the future.

And thank you very much Mr. Alkaline, i am very happy to help spreading the good vibes i get from Vitality, especially when i enjoy showing how great she grew out to be. I have already 15 seeds of the Vitality mix, the father is either the Vitality or Kumaoni male, these are from some lower buds (that i did not intentionally pollinate) i have been sampling along the way, hehe. I have some FloxVitality seeds already as well, and when in 2/3 days the CBD plant dries enough i am expecting at least 200 (mainly CBDxVitality and the rest CBDxKumaoni) seeds from her. I will try to post in the Medicinal Forum to ask people if they would be interested in these CBD enriched seeds. Here are the photos:

Thanks for watching and contributing, will post more soon again.

Flo down

Flo down

Thank you very much Mr. Alkaline and xmobotx, the Vitality is the last one, I cut the Flo on day 67, she is hanging, but no photos of her, she did not yield much and the lower buds were covered with those green pests, not a photo material, hehe. The Vitality is here

Some CBD buds curing

and CBD progeny

I let Vitality go for a few more days, she is still fattening up. Will post pictures on harvest day. The curing methods i tried last round worked all fine, but this time i will not do the water cure, the buds did not look that great. So probably half and half jars and freezer. The trim i am already saving from the CBD plant, will mix with the Vitality trim and make some medicinal oil extract for my grandmother that suffers with Alzheimer. I have to say the CBD plant smells divine, just like last round, citrusy and sweet fruity, all the nugs are incredibly hard and sticky. The buzz is nice, but no real high, very alert it leaves me, just like her sisters I grew before. Will post proper smoke reports after nice cure, take care for now, bye

Hey Jenery,

???Can I ask why u chose to buy/grow/have/smoke, ...the selection #1 of Vitality seedlots.
...Vs the #2 or the #3

I'm glad u did the #1. I'm just curious about what your thoughts were which brought u to this choice.

Vitality mother number 1

Vitality mother number 1

Hello Mr. Alkaline, to say the truth when i was buying these seeds on Seedbay, there was no option to choose from those 3 different mothers. Maybe it was the IC Mag donation auction, they were not expensive at all. I believe when the pack came there was the number one and only after that i checked for it in the threads.

Hi gardenfather, the led light is fine, my only complaint is the sound of the 3 cooling fans, too loud to have in a tent in your bedroom. Otherwise the plants grow really short, but they produce lots of trichomes for sure. The veg/flower plus uvb switch or all the spectrum is nice, i use first week/ten days just the ''blue'' spectrum, then both together and now last week of flower just the ''red'' with uvb. As i cannot work with cuttings and each new run is from seed, it is quite useful. :tiphat:

^^^
i use pc fans as my exhaust and for carbon filter, those are very quiet, then i have 30 cm moving desk fan for air circulation that is louder and then comes the noise of the led fans... Next grow will have to be soundproofed.

Drying nugs

She smelled of sweet roses again when i was trimming, really look forward what will happen after the cure. I decided to cut her down already mainly because of the heat wave here, the last 3 days she had over 30C during lights on, 24C lights off... There were some amber trichomes, but mostly cloudy and the new calyxes would surely foxtail for another week, but i like the high she gives me now. The harvest was abundant, but i do not have a balance, so no final dried weight guessing contest... After a couple days of drying i will be curing in jars and in shoe box in a freezer.
I've got around 100 seeds of my Vitality F2 and do not know yet how many Vitaoni (VitalityxKumaoni).
The CBD and Flo are in the jars, will write proper smoke reports when i have a smoke day for each strain separately, now i just like to mix it all the time, hehe.
Thank you all for watching and reading, it was a great grow experience for me, learned a bunch of stuff and now after 48 days of vegging and 73 days of flowering the rewards are incomprehensibly sweet. Bye now, peace.

Very nice wrap up of the living plant portion of the thread. Happy to see V has some chunk to her.

Itll be interesting to see if the rose comes through in the flavor and scent of the smoke.

Mr. A - Have any V males been reported with the rose bouquet? Might cross well with the spiced, exotic wood, patchouli of a SLH Ive got.

Hello wildgrow, thank you for the kind words, to your question i can attest that my Vitality male was smelling rosy. In the veg the two Vitality plants were very similar, but the male had this rosy odour more intense than the girl and had wider leaves, the harvested female kinda lost this during flowering, she was more smelling of a strawberry chewing gum, fruity and even some lemony aroma from limonene, the rose coming from linalool? So that is for my two seeds i germinated from the mother number 1 from S_a_H on the bay.

I don't really claim any rose aromatics for the Vitality, actually.
But the red kali leaning plants will often lean over to a female, floral perfume imo
The flo dad should have gifted the cross some stronger fragrances than the pure red kalii exhibits on it's own self and progeny.

I do, however, think the S_a_H male used for the F2 did carry that type of scent toward the rosy realm, and that he passed that on to it's offspring rather strongly and well.

Vitality should be as floral as anything, since it's parents have that complex in the high and oils. Ya dig?

Cured nugs

Cured nugs

Hello all, so here i am back with some more photos after i took the freezer buds out. For the aromas of the cured flowers, Vitality first.
As Mr. Alkaline says, they are floral all the way. Sweet floral perfume, very subtle. Very sticky buds. During veg she smelled rosy, then little strawberry bubblegum in the early flower and then rosy perfume again before chop. The CBD plant is citrusy, little grape and subtle astringent cleanser finish. Flo smells like sweety spicy hue, due to the dried dead pests on her probably as well. Here is all the smoke i have now from them, the big fatty jar bottom left is CBD, the same one right bottom is Flo, the rest Vitality, lol.

CBD nugs left, Vitality jar cured middle, Vitality freezer cured right

and some more

Freezed Vitality foxtail bud

The freezer cure went on for 2 weeks, now i jarred all the harvest. The freezer stuff seems more fresh and stickier, very strong odours as well when it defrosted. Now that i took it out and have few weeks holidays, i will write up some smoke reports for each strain and post it hopefully soon. Hope you enjoyed the photos and thanks for watching me grow these great canna plants.
