Marlo has a light mover rigged with a pully to raise and lower 2-600's in his room and he says that the mover cam be set to just 1 light so I think that would be a great alternative to having multiple lights in one column. Thus reducing energy cost as well as lowering room temps by not having the extra light.
I have been thinking of doing just that for the small 4 lighter.

Was way too much work over the last couple of days pruning and training. Next time I will get in there a week earlier!

Straw DD shows up late to the party, but she is no slouch. In 10 days she will be twice the size!

 I can't wait to see this in my room...........
I have 8 vegging right now that I may run in my closet when the USD is done in 4 more weeks. They are already about 20" tall, and should be 48" by the time I flip them. She doesn't stretch much, so you want her near finished size by flip. I will record the stretch next time, but something tells me its only about 50%.

That's really good to know as I have ~20 rooting as we speak, and the mother should be ready for another round of cloning by next week

Back with more questions. I might have missed this but you are currently still just letting waste water drip to the floor? Do you have any plans to catch run-off in the future? I'm looking at ways to possible catch run-off from individual buckets instead of a tray. For my space I would have to build a custom sized tray with ply and pond liner. Thought it might be just as easy/cost-effective to gather run-off at each bucket and plumb it all to my drain (a few feet away) somehow. I guess the PPK guys are kind of doing this already but I still don't understand the tire valve thing. Was looking at putting a uniseal on each bucket and plumbing it all to drain into 1/2" PVC. Wondering if you had any opinions on the subject. Such a clean setup!

My current lack of drainage was not worth holding up production. I definitely will be doing something inbetween runs.
I had thought of 10" net pot lids in 3gal buckets plumbed outside of room. All the parts would add up though, so I may try to modify a 10" saucer with a cheap fitting for a drain, using either 1/4 or 3/8 inch tubing.

A few is three or more lol! As of May, it has been 2 years since I grew my first 4 plants in a DIY rdwc. Having to relocate 9 months ago set me back in the short term, but overall I am on a quicker path to retirement.
I have been thinking of doing a summary of the last 9 months to put things in perspective.

Charlie (4th room) Online!

Charlie (4th room) Online!

I still have to assemble the screens, add circulation fans, and connect the drip system, but plants are in!
I have 8 GSC Forum Cut, topped, and vegged to about 24", with one runt about 18".
They will be fed Jack's, and the lights can be dimmed to 400w as needed.
I left myself a bit more room to work in since this room is not connected to the main work space, but shares a wall with Bravo.

Outdoor Update

Outdoor Update

Things are chugging along in the outdoor patch. I have some early flowering plants, but they should be clear of the reveg period, and should be a nice early crop.

OG Headcheese nearing chop time...

These pics were taken on day 43, and we are at day 47 now. I was told 7-8 weeks, and I am skeptical of anything less than 56 days, but I can see how someone would take them at 49 days. I will take them to 56 days.

USD Day 49

USD Day 49

Last week I spent about 8-10 hours training, and pruning my USD. They are now on day 53, and are starting to pack on some weight! Some of the buds are so close to filling in, that if they do, there will be forearm sized buds :)
Will be on bud rot patrol for the next 2-3 weeks...
