I'm actually a little taken aback that yours and milo's are slow to showing sex. I'm WAY behind you... mine have maybe 6-7 nodes (before topping) and 100% had shown sex.

My Biker Kush are the fastest to show sex of anything I've grown. Nothing special. 20/4 lighting.

Small update on the Bikers.

Got them up-potted to their final vessel, a 3.4 gallon airpot.

These are really some picky plants. I have tried everything to make them happy and finally think I figured out they just do not like regular strength nuted. They seem to do good with very light doses <1.0 E.C.

I had noticed that the clones I had taken were burning up while all other strains do fine. Been feeding lght and I think we are on the path to happiness.

Oh yeah, they also seem to need extra Mg.

Clone(and seed plants) are very stretchy. Here are the clones that have been tucked right up under a T5 light. Clone on the right took extra time rooting, that's why it's not as stretched out. I'm sure it will be in no time.

Guessing Mg def here.

looks like its too hot and dry. Also keep your pH at 6.0, drifting too far out of range or lock out's can also cause the twisty/crinkly leaves.

Unfortunately the other 12 or so strains are all fine with my veg environment(80 degrees, 55% humidity)so they will just have to make do.

If they don't like it to the curb they go. Got no time for finicky bitches.

Okay, Bikers have hit the flower room. Should have a nice hedge before long.

While not as perfect as I would like they should be okay as long as I keep the feedings on the light side.

I also think I've been dealing with a faulty ph/EC meter for a while and that may have played into why I was having such a time with these.

Got a new bluelab coming today and will know more once I get it. From what I'm being told from others using Canna nutes, my meter was reading at around 50%, meaning my food would have been twice as hot as I thought it was. That would obviously cause some issues.

Okay, confirmed that I was dealing with a faulty E.C. meter. It had been showing about 50% of the real E.C.

Normally I would have noticed something like this but I had just changed nute lines over to Canna. I was really wondering why their nutes were so weak.

So, apologies to KG for calling his plants finicky bitches.

They are not so finicky after all they just don't like being fed an E.C. of 2-2.5 as youngsters. I was just burning them up. Under control now and I am feeling much better about this.

I also would like to apologize for taking so long to get these ladies in flower. I was busting my ass for months trying to get some new rooms done and should not have raised my hand for the testers.

Still glad I did though. Hard to say no when you know the fire that Karma brings.

Anyway, rooms are done plants are on the rebound and all is well. Well, as long as they don't herm on me that is.

Here's a pic of the new room they'll be staying in.

Shows about to get good.:woohoo:

If you are referring to post #42 where I said they liked under 1.0 EC that was not flowering, that was veg and that was with the faulty meter. So when I went up to 1.5 I was actually feeding at 3 and didn't know it.

They didn't like that.

When I said they liked less than 1.0 it really meant they like less than 2.0

Confused like me yet?

And yes 100% coco fed daily.

I mix my COCO now. Was getting expensive with all coco. Im getting the same results..More then 2ec thats alot lol... complete opposite. So what are you feeding 1.5ec.. So if the dont like less the 2ec your feeding 2.5 or more yes you're confusing me. I think you got that backwards. You said they did not like 3ec then you say then did not like less then 2ec so your in between 2-3ec??

Haha, the readings I was taking before were all off.

Well I just got my meter today, so todays feed was 1.0 with a lot of runoff. I'll gradually increase it to a max of 1.5 if they are okay with it.

I reuse my coco so it's quite affordable. It's also less that 20 dollars for a 50 liter bag of canna coco around here.

I dont have anyplace to compost the mix so I cant reuse. Wish I did. I have seen the indoor units but im not feeling those units way to small for the amount of medium I do through.

At least the problem is fixed. you should be back on track in no time:)

I use that too(hygrozyme) I just dont have room for storing the used coco.. No yard what I do have would be seen by everyone.

I use to reuse my soil medium at the old house..

Now that you got your new meter all should get back to normal pretty quick:)

What I do is leave my coco in my pots after I cut the plant down.

When I need some coco I dump a pot or two into a tote, fish out as much root as I can and then use the coco. Not sure why you would take it outside?

The pots of old coco don't collect cause I always need to pot something up.:)

And yes, the Bikers look 100% better after 2 days with lower nutes. :woohoo:

Faulty meters are a total pita. You only know they're faulty when ur plants start going to shit.

Yep and the worst thing was I was starting a new nute line so I had no familiarity with what the E.C. should be.

Oh well, it is now in the past and the future is looking bright.

If I storing the coco I would not have the space to do that inside or out..I have 20 pots to deal with.. Im always moving plants in/out similar to perpetual except harvest times are not set. I just dont have the space to store that much coco..

A far as taking it outside. Theres more space outside to store stuff then inside..If I had the space I would definitely have a compost pile.

Yeah I could see how that would be an issue. If I didn't have the barn I don't know where I would store stuff.

I can't believe how quickly these girls turned around. Pretty much 4 days and they are completely different plants.

They don't seem to mind the elevated co2 levels at night. It was at 2140 PPM when the lights came on the other day.
