BC outdoor 2013!

Anyone heard of an auto flower strain called super mario> or c warp crossed with super mario? its from the sunshine coast...finishes early sept

Any pics? Is it cloneable?

I'm curious to see what it looks like as the c-warp is already a pretty early finisher in holes for me and could be forced even sooner by abusing the autoflowering tendancies when it gets rootbound and keeping it in 5 gal pots or bags, probably have it finish in early september this way.

Havent tried this strain yet, gettin kids next weekend. Any tips for the cwarp how tall they can grow, potential yield in 15 gallon pots? Any info on cwarp would be awesome, as this strain I am getting is crossed with it. When does cwarp finish? Better in the ground or in pots?

Im doing the same with my c-warp and the one or 2 crosses I have with it. Does it auto pretty quickly after it gets rootbound? If I also started force flowering them at the same time and put them outside would they continue flowering? Or gk through a little reveg?

for max yield don't let c-warp cuts get rootbound before july 1st.. veg in the largest containers possible/practical and transplant into the ground.. finishes by mid sept.

or even better veg in smartpots or diy smartpots and transplant with the smartpot straight into the ground and water well to let the roots grow through the smartpots..

I'm sure c-ray knows alot more about the strain than I do, this is my 4th season growing c-warp and all that I know after that time is the following:

-don't let it get rootbound, at all. It'll start flowering in beer cups if it's rootbound and it seems harder to get back into veg than most strains. The first year we grew it half the clones (400 or so) were slightly rootbound and we didn't know this. We transplanted and they never went back to veg, we ended up with a ton of tiny 1oz plants finished at the end of august.

-yield is pretty darn good, 8oz plants are no problem as long as they don't get rootbound before transplant. No mold.

-they're a heavy feeder/heavy water plant. I water 3 gals/day in the summer in 15 gallon holes and they just love it. Everytime I go heavy on the nutes and wake up with nightmares of crispy burnt plants I go back and check and they seem to be loving the extra food.

-don't overprune. For max yields just pop the first node or two off each branch and let the rest go. Yield in stages so take the tops first then let the middles ripen; take the middles and let the popcorn on the bottom ripen. Too many people I know treat it like an indoor plant and prune waaaaay too hard, end up with nice huge plants but only yield a QP per plant because they've pruned too many budsites. Yeah it's great to only be trimming tops but if you leave the mid buds and popcorn an extra week after taking the tops they'll just blow up and fill an extra box or two of freezer bags. Cha-ching.

Probably some other stuff but basically the c-warp is a kickass strain AS LONG as it doesn't get rootbound early on in veg. When it does your straight fucked and you'll be cursing the strain. I find it a bit finicky but the results are worth it. Hand trimmed, well done c-warp or c-weed grown outdoors can fool most veteran smokers into thinking it's indoor if done well.

thanks for the info. the quality and yield combo sounds nice, ive got some more questions i'll ask to those who know.
did you have to search to find some good mothers? how hard to keep said moms?
what latitude is that at?
how do they do in partial sunlight?
how common are herms in good growing conditions? i'm growing seedless and seeded crops and want to know if i should keep a extra careful eye on anything that might be stressed

there is virtually no demand for OD elbows in BC at all anymore... I suspect a lot is turned into hash

wahoo, less than 2 weeks to blast off and things are looking good. I love this time of the year.

I switched to full organics this year which has taught me so much after years of using chemical fertilizers. It's been a cool process to watch the sterile, depleted dirt build itself into a rich dark spongy soil teeming with microbial activity as I add amendments and work it. Best of all has been not a single trip to the grow store, I think I'm most happy about that.

So this year it was all about doing smaller numbers and maximising yield/quality so I can cater to a more niche market so there are 50 x 15-20 gallon holes amended with kelp meal, alfalfa meal, chicken manure, sea soil (amazing stuff), perlite and a ton of locally sourced decomposed leaf litter and dark black riverbank soil loaded with earthworms which I have been mining from a nearby source. Everything is on 1gph drippers but I'll be feeding with teas and also playing around with some Fermented Plant Extracts from horsetails and nettles which grow nearby.

In the cab are 50 big bushy c-warp clones in 1/2 gallon pots.

Time to party soon :dance013:

Quick snap of ghouse number 1..

Plants look a lil droopy only because i let them dry out a bit before transplant.. Then smash them with a earth worm casting tea to get them into the new home. some smart pots some dug into the ground with uber soil for all the fine ladies

well that was fun while it lasted, nearly 2 weeks of amazing veg growth from the organics before Mr. Bear showed up the other night and ate 49 of them. Left me with one untouched plant and a giant pile of shit to look at. I think this is the end of my outdoor career, been good while it lasted but between low prices, having patches chopped down and stuff like this it's not worth it any more :(

Sounds like you were using the wrong organic ferts outside? Never use bone or blood meal in bear country. Guanos and plant meals (like kelp) are they way to go. Manure will also attract bears. Don't get to discouraged clunk. The market is always up and down, also lower mainland bc is the WORST place to unload your product. Next year have back up plants and multiple smaller patches so if you loose some its not a complete loss. Hope this helps you.

Sorry for getting off topic in your thread paradox. Your ladies look great. What varieties do you have going in your gh?

Nah this was my 8th year seriously into the outdoor game, seen everything from rippers, animals chewing everything, poor weather and even one terrible occasion when I walked into one of my patches and found hundreds of my plants chopped and a couple of RCMP waiting for me to show up. Nope, devastation isn't new to me but it was much easier to take back when we were seeing over $2400 a lb - the last few years barely seeing $1k just don't make it seem worth it any more.

Just wanted to add, for anyone elses future reference, that the bear was likely attracted to a cayenne spray I used the other day to repel mice and squirrels. Mr. Bear didn't waste any time investigating the soil or anything else around he just went straight for the spicy little ganja snacks. Now that I think back a hunter once told me many years ago that a bear will be attracted to cayenne or even bear spray once the initial "burn" wears off - really wish I wasn't such a stoner and coulda remembered this before I sprayed them!

Time to buy some lights and drive the prices even lower haha :)

Does anyone know if I can veg the c-warps under a light and get them as big as I want, take cuttings etc before I stick em outside? Or do they start flowering at a certain age or height? Any tips are appreciated, thanks!
