Nothing but stunning work in this thread. You have quite the greenthumb!!! :respect: That Honey White just looks insane. How do those DC crosses smell? Incredible... SL

My 3 hw's all just showed female. They have kept pretty small, largely being due to being overgrown by the haze hybrids beside them. Thinking I am going to drop the other 11 seeds here in a couple of weeks for next run. Will keep you posted.

Hey HL!
I planted my last HW seeds and ended up with 3 males and one Female. I hit the female with all 3 males and dusted a pair of PTK plants with the pollen from the HW's too.

thanks again my friend!

I hope to be sharing her a bunch more! :D
You can see the trichs building on that lower fan leaf where the blades start out, and the leaf above you can see them building on the blade margins and the beginning of "leaf taco".
Just what I want to see. :)

:yeahthats
considering the stage of maturity, I think will be a good resin producer.. Greetings

g0vnaa, I'm impressed too! As infatuated as I am w/ the SC-D cross, the DC's are what I reach for at night. To answer vStagger Leev's question, I 1st reported how the DC cross had a real coffee smell to it when the jar was cracked, but as it cured out it's become pure White.
A really nice rank funk assails you now when the jar is opened. I live in an area w/ a heavy skunk population. Whenever I open a jar of the DC, my wife runs to the slider, thinking it's a skunk outside. Now she knows, "Is that you?" :biglaugh:
In contrast, the SC-D cross has a fermented sweetness to it, not very strong, with the Dawg/HW funk laying out the bottom.
The HW figures heavy in both the highs, pretty stony. The SC-D has a bit of an 'up' buzz to it, but it doesn't meld half as nicely into the HW as the DC's relaxing euphoric high.
I didn't keep cuts of my DC plants in part because they did show a few sterile nanners throughout flowering. As they were both so similar, I figure I'll be able to find their equal down the road.

The coup de grâce is that the DC's out-yielded the SC-D's by nearly a Z per plant. :D
The SC-D's produced bigger buds, but the DC's produced a staggering amount of golfball nugs.

DC left, SC-D right

Tardigrade, welcome to ICMag! I brought out this red plate just for you! My red tablecloth has been a real signature for me for 10+ yrs. since OG daze. Thx for the compliment!

LG, good to hear! Awesome you're perpetuating the HW w/ your own f2's, and as g0vnaa said, that PTK cross should be dynamite!

bloyd, looking forward to an update! Hope you find a dazzler! :)

Lookin good in here .... The bees knees bro .... HoneyWhite

It's good ta see all the NE crew running the HWs ... how many generations are you in on them?

Hey GG, They've gone thru two backcrosses to the White.
What I'm running now are some F2's from the HW bx2.
I plan to run thru the rest of my 'High & Tri' seeds (the initial cross), then thru my b/c 1 batch looking for shiners. I'll then run thru the b/c 2's for additional shiners and a healthy selection of males.
I'll also be going thru my Highend F2's to add to the mix.

I spent all weekend last wk. finally building an A/C box so I can grow thru summer. Seems to be working well, but have yet to have any hot days since it's been operating.
The days before it being operational, the temps were running 86-88 high's, detrimental to healthy plant's. They were already struggling from an earlier heatwave that saw temps hit 90. :frown:

Hopefully the next rd. I'll be able to grow the cuts to their full potential.
Here's the only way it's gonna work!

With the A/C in place, I added my LED units over my 4 fav plants.

HW #6 & #9 HW #3 & #1

That's #9 to the far left in the 2nd pic. ;)

Looking really good ..... Looks like your workin down that line nice ... No doubt!!

Have you or anyone you know run em outdoors yet? Wonder how the white in that cross would be effected outdoors

Beautiful brother.. I love seeing fresh framing ;-)

Did you use sheet metal for that box? Or ply + bubble/foil wrap? Any blower assisting exhaust thru there? Looks real nice and tidy man.

On another note.. Let's talk LED. What wattage are ur kessils again? And what wattage HID would you compare it to? These big ass CFL bulbs ain't meetin the mark no more, I'd rather use 1kw LED over 1kw CFL.. Spread around the room. Plus I can get something with increased spectrum from LED... I just use straight blue CFLs right now. Who do u think is the best LED company on the market?

Good to have you stop in, Seismic.

CDM, surprised you didn't recognize it as sheathing, as we were just talking about using it last month. ( It's 1 1/2" Thermasheath-3)

I just finished swapping out the 6" inline booster fan drawing air in, to a 6" Vortex. This is the weak link, not using larger venting to draw air in. I could hear the A/C sucking on the sheathing in the intake chamber, so hopefully running the Vortex on full bore I'll be able to keep up.
I'm using an old attic fan I used in my 1st grow room in the 80's for exhaust into the attic.
Been out of use since the early 90's, lol! It's 11", 565 CFM.
I built 2 trap doors in the exhaust chamber in case I need to get into the attic for anything. ;)
The A/C is sitting 5' up, so it blows into the canopy of my tent, not on the plants themselves.

As far as LED's, I would not recommend the Kessil's. It's only around 70w and has a tiny footprint.
I'm happy enough w/ my ProGrow 260, but would not buy another.
I feel my CLW 'Solar Flare' 200w is my best unit. I prefer buying american whenever possible, and if I was to invest in LED's, it would be either LumiGrow's or California Light Works. Just my :2cents:
Grower's House has a decent sale going now, that's where I got the 'Solar Flare'.

GG, I think Slip Kid gave some to a buddy for OD and they molded, but I'm not certain about that.
I gave a SC-D x HW to a buddy for OD this yr. I'd be surprised if it didn't mold, the buds were way bigger, denser, than straight up HW's. We'll see...
Certainly is a lovely day for those OD plants today! :tiphat:

Slip Kid

Yup I gave a guy in a wheel chair a bunch of HW seedlings and a handful of clones. What happened was he ended up "having a wicked fit" because I wasn't coming over and rubbing his toes.I think he did get some buds from the HW's, I know the sours rotted, dang, that was awhile ago!! I'm still mad at that guy no wonder I havn't seen him.:) I can't believe how long ago that was, 4 yrs??

Time flys .... Seems like just yesterday I was whoring it up sowing my oats in, on and around every girl that was an 8 or better .... .... standards lol ..... And yet I've been whacked up w my lady for nearly 3yrs ...... Where's the pause button to slow this shut down!!

That's a shame to hear about the HWs ... But that's what I figured so I didn't put my white jones' outside figuring they would mold up too

Yeah slip ... Most sours are a no go outdoors ... but ECSD doesn't do too bad .... But she has a great structure and the buds on my ECSD cross stacked up like a tight cork screw but didn't get crazy dense to cause mold.... Little pm but that's expected

Slip & I both live in similar coastal areas. Come Sept. you can count on some soupy weather.
As long as I'm growing ID, it's not worth considering anymore. My Apollo's/crosses do well, but your still gonna find some mold/PM. I don't wanna smoke spores, and I'm making hash less & less.

Yeah I have pretty sane climate as you guys .... Im need the southern coast and your right come September your gonna get something nasty ..... That's when the genetics come in .... I've had Durban, jack herer, skunk and a couple no name afghan type plants that got chopped and zero mold or pm .....

But .... As ya said if it ain't broke why fix it? I just enjoy the outdoors .... I'm a guerilla ... I feel at home in the woods w ganja plants and ears tingling for any sounds out of the ordinary .....

Do you have a specific goal in mind w the HWs? Or just crossing and stabilizing to have great plants in seed form?

No. I grow for myself w/ no agenda. After the appropriation of my HW BX2's by Californian Seeds, I have no desire to aid the community at large.
The hits to this thread far out-weigh the responses. I could care less about those hits, it's the folks that have always been genuine w/ me that'll be testing future stock.
I feel letdown by SB w/ my last server fund donation, so I'm done w/ that outlet.
People circulating my perimeter in the shadows trying to feed off me ought to just go elsewhere. There's plenty of White genetics out there.

Right now, it's strictly show & tell.

Today the plants were fed and they'll get one more feeding before I start to flush.
I took some pics of my 3 smallest plants today as I was feeding.
Here's a group shot of the three.
