them plants are no were near finished if you flush them soon u mines well throw them away now... i but they go 70-77 days no problem if not longer.

Yes, listen to PoopyTeaBags. :)

I probably wouldn't take advice from someone with only ~40 posts as gospel either.

As hard as it may be, i think it is definately better to chop them a bit late rather than prematurely.
I think you will be surprised by how big those colas get by the time they have finished.
Which, as PoopyTeaBags says is 70-77 days, if not longer.
Some plants just keep on growing fresh pistils. :comfort: :ying:

The last three weeks of a plants life is when the bulk of weight is put on. On a 12 week sativa, you won't see massive swollen buds until about week 9-12.

The first 4-5 weeks are stretch, the a week or two of set, then they start to swell.

you can't tell a plant when it'll be done, they tell you when they're done. Sativas take a long time to flower, add some nutes and keep that thing going.

In a couple months you will regret cutting that cola off. I know it can be hard when you're starting out but keep your hands out of the cookie jar and you will be rewarded. Patience is key in this hobby

Not all fan leaves seem to be gone. Many people including myself defoliate in flowering to give lower buds more light. I get up to 1/2 lb more per light since doing this. On a long sativa removing at 5 weeks in is a little early but on a 9 weeker thats a good time to start removing them. Granted, some strains respond better than others. Your plants look fine id let them go a lot longer.

...Thank you again to everyone for taking the time to share your wisdom and support. I'll be sure to post the final results closer to harvest... hopefully with positive results. Peace!

If there is anyone that can remove this stranger's name, from my earlier post when I attempted to upload some pics from a public computer in this thread, I'd sincerely appreciate it.

go back to that post, look in the lower right hand corner, click the edit button, and erase that person's name, hit the save button, and you should be done.

I agree with everyone else, exercise some patience. As already stated, sativas take a while, some take a long time. Yours look good for this stage of the game, they will fill in later. Good luck man, post some pictures for us later when they are finished! Best vibes ~ ksp

I think flushing is over-rated.

Do you ever flush vegetables or herbs?
I have never eaten broccoli and thought, if only that broccoli had a good flush?

Flushing is imperative to a clean product. There are so many stored nutrients in plants that some can go almost two weeks of straight water without catching a fade. The clean flush makes for way better tasting and cleaner burning herb. Its just a fact. I bet this woud apply to most herbs. Not certain how it would apply to fruits and veggies but i wouldnt assume its ineffective like you are. Have you eaten flushed broccoli?

If not then how could you possibly understand the spectrum? It sounds like you havent had the pleasure of sampling the same product grown by you personally flushed vs non flushed. I have, and the flushed product always wins.

Whatever, Crooked8.

I just said it was over-rated, not that it didn't do anything.
Do whatever you like. :)
