thanks everyone!

i've been crazy busy trimming and taking care of my veggies, sorry about the lack of updates. i'll have some harvest shots to come later..

right now i gotta run and do more veggie gardening LOL but heres a quick photo series of me topdressing a ganja plant that just went into flower (took these pics a week or two ago) using comfrey and horsetail from my yard + homemade EWC

first heres a picture of one of the many comfreys - zucchini behind it, eggplant to the back right, cherry tomato to the right..red winter wheat to the side. lens cap on the comfrey leaf for perspective..those babies are huge!

heres what the pot looked like to start..."canna meal" a.k.a. removed lower branches + dried up fan leaves that fall off and I place in the pots. once the leaves dry I try to crumble them to help incorporate into the soil faster

horsetail first

then comfrey

then some screened EWC from my worm bins..

heres a shot of one of the worm bins and another shot of some worms getting down on juicer scraps

and heres the finished pot..10 gal smartpot ready to go...maybe a light topdress of kelp after a week or two

the reason I filled the pot so much this cycle is because I am moving soon, so I know this will be my last run in these pots. Might as well fill em up! (leaving a bit of room for water and such of course)

when I transplant in my no-tills I have to be careful digging..i keep on crippling worms...the cocoons in the castings must have hatched because there is a decent worm population in my pots  also got some nice soil mites, centipedes here and there, etc. definitely living soil :)

off to the garden...see you folks later!

Nice to find this thread, I learned much from this. Just finished mixing up some soil today using the coots method. In my haste, I used hose water to get everything wet. But I won't need it until May, so I'll have plenty time to hit it with some tea.

Cali high desert will get hot real soon and I can't wait to try this method and get off the bottle!

Can anyone Help?

Can anyone Help?

Hi Everyone, :tumbleweed: I'm new to notill. I have a dilemma. Short story.
I had broad mites:( There gone naturally with neem, and many essential oils used at a spray. Also, I have used fresh aloe and coconut juice in a spray on off days along with compost and botanical teas. They are now happy. I put a top dressing on too. I started these plants in Nectar for the Gods soil #4 and used their nuts. But, I lost the crop before due to the bugs, so I could not afford those crazy nut prices. So I went on line to find a solution and stumbled across notill information. I had heard a little but was intimidated. The more I read the more interested I became. Wow! I just added a top dressing and planted a clover cover crop spray and water with teas..........I also put some worms into the pots. I don't really know what I'm doing...HELP! So now I have my babies that need to be transplanted because their not really babies any more. I have been going crazy looking at different recipes and I can't decide. I was wondering if there might be a recipe that I can plant into right away? I can't wait 6 weeks. Something I can put together and not have it cost 500 like it does from buld-a-soil or KIS, (Great companies). I have 12 plants going into 15 gallon pots. Here are a few websites that make soil for organic outdoor gardens. I'm wondering is someone could look at it and let me know If any of them would work for now. Then maybe recommend a recipe for my next cycle.
On this site I'm looking at: Growers Best Blend. They say they make it specially for cannabis growers but never heard of anyone using it for indoor. They don't see why it wouldn't work.

Here is the other one that also says the same thing.
It's the White Lighting mix:

I'm over the top stressed about all this. So any support is greatly appreciated. I also was wondering if I could add any thing to any of these. They told me I could plant directly into the soil right away. Thanks so much if you can help me.

Aspirin and worms?

Aspirin and worms?

Wow, I have learned so much from this thread. Thanks. I'm still battling the broad, russet, or whatever this evil mite is. I think they are way down. I have only seen one, a few days ago and I've been spraying with nukum every 3 days. I did one heat treatment 2 weeks into flower. Got the room up to 120 for a little over an hour. I think I burned my buds. The white hairs turned brown on many of them. Will this affect their growth?

I have worms in my pots and I'm wondering if I can still use aspirin in the water or will it harm the worms? I'm so tired of these mites. I don't even sleep much any more. Just battling the mites. :dueling:
