Sorry guys been working 70+ hrs a week last two weeks got a chance to do some work and snapped some pics from a week ago prob. I had a little mishap with the blumats due to the res going empty but that was my own fault due to working to much. I will post those pics from last week and take fresh pics tomorrow when i get home and do a full update.

Be back in a few with some pics after my camera charges and i can get them off it.(damn sony for making diffrent sd cards)

Dreaded- Thanks man!!

Mantra- Thank u for the kind words!! I will give a little blumat review with the post as i have had them for some time now so just keep on reading lol.

Brennye- Thanks I love how nice and thick the main stems are too, one of the things i really love about coco. To be honest i think it would be better with a 400 on bottom and 600 on top. I have seen it done not sure if it really is better but i get uneasy when tops are less then 6'' from the 600w bulb. Funny this is my first vert adventure too but i have been reading all the wealth of info on this forum and it helps to have a "few" grows under my belt lol.

SecondAttempt- Thanks for the fire under the but i needed it lol

By the way guys i need to say i love denver!!! I had 2 day tickets to the first ever high times cannabis cup for everybody but with a special medical area for patients. I was so high i dont even know how many dabs i took i lost count at 20 on saturday and didnt even start to count on sunday. Some very cool stuff i seen there was 3 medicated chocolate fountains by incrediblescolorado.com and a trimbin by harvest-more.com (i bought one, will do review come harvest time). Also they had a mobile testing lab that does single tests for $40 and will go anywhere in colorado deff. gonna have my stuff tested sooner or later.

On with the update.....

Lets start off with the blumats, So far the only problems ive had with the blumats have been my own fault. I really do love them but a few words of advice that i read but but kept fucking up on. Once the blumats are dialed in do not touch them if you do u are going to be sorry (learned my lesson here 2 or 3 times with a flooded tent). Second is maintain your res water level. Working 70+ hrs I had not had the time to check the room as i got home a 9pm and lights where off already for several days. Went in and found the res almost dry and plants in desperate need of water. I hand watered them all heavy and made a new res but forgot to open ball valves and the next day i was back to dry plants. I opened the ball valves and almost all of them flooded there trays after 15 mins so i looked inside the cones and they needed a little water as well so filled them and set drippers and so far so good. I included a pic of roots climbing to reach the drip line crazy things roots do for water. All and all if say a B+ on blumats just because how touchy they are.

I still need to get chains to hang the bulbs together but as of now the plants where getting too close so i raised the bottom bulb, i think it should work out just fine. Next run it will only do 6 plants because 8 is just too packed so i cant run the bottom bulb low at all. Think if i used a 400w on bottom instead it wouldn't be a big deal to run 8...?

There where just too many good pics so ill just post them all lol.. Like i said in my last post this was about a week ago and they have gotten a lot bigger since then.

Careful with the roots ability to climb up into that 3mm tubing. I've had clogging where a single root grew up into the tubing.. ultimately leading to a clog. Didn't realize it until the plant went limp.

Thanks for the heads up man never really thought about it but i could see it happening so i will move the hole stake up to prevent any problems...

Off to do another trim job, hand water all additives, and top off the res with fresh water and a&b.... Only had a 9 hr day today so im gonna take the advantage and get some work done in the room!! Be back in a couple hours with a update...

Photos from 5/1 didnt get much done. You can see how full the 4x4 area is with 8 plants think im gonna go down to 6 next run and see what happens...

I guess my limit is up so i just put them on photobucket...

Looking good... next run keep the center clear and drop a bulb right down in there.

What kind of tent? How do you like it?
I'm looking to buy a few tents soon.

Decided i wanted to run the 600's stacked for awhile and see how things go. I went to home depot and picked up some 1/16"th cable and crimp ends. I was going to do a how to but it is pretty straight forward so i figured if anyone requests it ill do it as i did take some more pics.

I have dropped the lower light down a little bit after a trim job and they seem to be reacting well. will update in a few with pics from the 6th i havent had time time to do a update.

Both my tents are growbright brand from htg supply. The flower tent is a 4x8 and they veg tent is 2x4. They have lasted me for about 4 years the only problem is a small section of stitching on flower tent giving the zipper a hang up on one side of tent that i never use. All in all worth saving the money and going with htg.. I think the new ones are silver inside like my veg tent so that is a plus over mine.

Nice lights.

What are we looking at for plants in those pics? Same plants defoliated?

Yes after the major trim job lights had not even been turned on after build and trim of plants.

So one thing a didnt really say but you can tell in the previous pics the bottom lamp has small zipties that can be moved up and down to raise and lower bottom light. I am also going to put some kind of yoyo set for the lights as i tried the ones i have and it doesnt weigh enough to keep it down.

Will try to do another update tomorrow...

I have been pondering lately about the other 4x4 part of the tent and what to do with it... I was thinking, i have another 1k light that im not useing. I have 16 healthy clones and i only need 2 for new mothers and 6 for the next donut round. So i have 8 plants i could do a 1k horizontal grow next to the vert. That would give the vert ladys some light on the back side and i will not have to do so much trimming on those plants.. I have a 450cfm fan now and no scrubber and stay 1 degree above ambient. How much cfm would be required to cool 2200 watts in a 4x8 tent, is it even possible to cool that much lighting in a tent? Reflector and ballast for 1k are hydrofarm and reflector is not air cooled... Another thought is to ditch the 4x8 for a 4x4 and a 5x5. I would need to get another exhaust but no biggie. I would run one tent 1k vert and the other tent with the stacked 600's and could even run them at opposite schedules...?

Any ideas or suggestions are defiantly welcome!!

Go bigger! Use the extra light and grow some extra bud. Your grow is looking good, I love canna nutes, that's all I use.

Got the res changed out and hand watered them with all the additives and the got a couple minutes to take some pics. I have only been running canna a&b and calmag due to getting brown algae in res when using other additives(think the rhizotonic and cannazyme where the problem). Not sure if they are just bad as i am refilling them from a 5l container that ive had for awhile, but when they are hand watered there is no problem.

The clones that i took before flower where put into a small tray with some coco just to get them started. I decided to put some great white on the bottom of the cube and roots but maybe not such a good idea cause now the roots are so overgrown that they are gonna be hard to get out and put into there own pots...

2 God bud clones on top left and others are pre 98 bubba
