took one of the 23w bulbs out for more room.

I'm working on a PC box ATM myself, and figured that the most PC grows i've seen where in midi towers.
i managed to pick up this XL tower for a mere 5 bucks :D

I gutted it, and is currently looking like this:

Tho, it has so many leaks for light.. i need to figure out a material i can use to cover the back side of it all, as there's a number of big openings in there

May i ask what you used? or maybe post up a few pics of how it looks from the outside ( backside )

Did you make any effort in trying to seal the box up/ making it
air tight(ish)

Would acrylic be good to cover the biggest holes?
as i can easily cut and shape it

Another thing im wondering.. the sound..
is it a noisy case? i have quite a few pc's in my house, and they rage from super silent ( my current rig ) to coffee grinder ( Ancient PC )

* Subbed btw :D *

hey wayne ive tried skewers they didnt work to well i mite just stick with lsting it. seems to be doing ok. doji what i did was just cut up some old computer parts boxes to the size of the holes i had. covered it in some duct take them just taped it over my holes. the only light comin out of it comes from the fan holes in the back and both my friends and parents have never even noticed it. a friend thought i got some led fans for a crappy pc hehe. as for air tight no i have a bunch of air flow thru it for cooling. ill get some pics later of the whole thing just sitting. as for noise my actual computer is much much louder than the one with weed in it hehe. so no barely any noise at all.

ah ok, nothing personal, tho I'm trying not to use the miracle product called Duct-tape :D
i have a bunch of adhesive foils left from an old job of mine, and so far its doing it job covering the stuff

I'm a little hesitant of using some acrylic plating to cover it, as it might resonate and cause more noise.

perhaps i can get my hands on some rubber washes to create some dampening

hehe, im holding back on using it now, but im sure that that will eventually be the thing ill use for the bits that end up not sealed

well i did it. i got the screen in. i was just being dumb and using only 2 and tht was just not workin so i put a straw in each corner and yea its workin like a champ. im wondering if maybe the straws in there mite even help get more air to the roots? either way its workin and i already had to retrain a branch after a few hours. heres some pics. and one of the back. there is a bunch i uploaded so just check the album for more doji.

Yeah that's what i imagined it to look like :D,

i'm going to try not to have a ton of cables come out of the back, nor have any lights shine out.
i picked up a roll of black tape, almost as strong as duct tape is.. tho as i said, i don't want it to stand out because of the tape, so i was thinking that if i resort to tape ill be wrapping it all in the same tape, turning the case black and air tight in 1 go

Ill be working on the case today again :D
i should really figure out how to start up a journal so it shows in my account :p
if your curious, i can always link a pic up here :D

Nice set up, what size bulb is that that you're using? I'm planing on using 3 x 43W 6500K bulbs in mind.
I think the only thing I would have done differently is line the inside with mylar. I got a cheap mylar windshield from my local dollar store - gots my fingers crossed that it will work.
Here is my set up - I'm kinda concerned about the position of my second outake fan - I think I may move it and place it like yours - thoughts? You can see that it's right under my light ... looks too cramped for me.

Can I ask why you scrog vs. lst?

thanks tinker and gonzo. for the light its a 65w 2700k and i have a 23w 5000k. i been lazy i swear i tell myself every weekend ill go to the dollar store and get some mylar wrapping paper hehe. as ur exhaust fan, id suggest putting it high cuz heat rises. i have my intakes at the front at the bottom and exausts at mid and top right where the power supply goes. and the scrog is sorta a lie. the twisty ties are doing most of the work so its essentially lstd. they are pretty much the same thing just scrog keeps things more even.
