Hmm, I'm a bit worried that the top buds will grow too close to the lamp... The top ones are all less than 10" away. At what height do you start to get problems?

Couldn't even dream of the stretch being this crazy...

Day 21

Today was defoliation day. As you can see from the first picture I kind of went to town on them. I think I did good though, the canopy is still intact, covering all of the area. I want a highway of food straight up to my buds!

Last pictures shows my height problem, they are going damn close to the light! Now it is a vented hood, so I've turned up the exhaust a bit during light hours to keep the temperature down a bit more. It seems to work as I didn't see any signs of bleaching when I had all of them out of the HPS light during defoliation. I can see some leaf tips with a very very slight discoloration though (we're talking about millimeters if that).

Here's my question: Should I be pre-emptive and do some supercropping on the ones that are too close to the light, evening out the canopy. Or maybe try tying them to the sides so that they don't sit directly below the light (this would of course bring more light to lower buds as well)? Or should I just wait and see if it will be a problem at all?

The closest ones are like 5 inches away from the light. Yeah, I totally overvegged...

Any help is greatly appreciated, take care, peace!

I feel kind of the same way, but from what I've been able to gather you can only do it for so long. If you go too long in to flower it wont work?

Day 28

We are closing in on halftime. Buds are everywhere! So far it looks like Blue Cheese is a great producer. I noticed some bleaching on the bud that's the closest to the light (3-4 inches...). Will go out tomorrow to get some strings to tie it to the side. I'm not comfortable with supercropping them now when they are looking so healthy.

Smell is kind of strong, will get some ONA gel. Canopy temp is pretty hot, it's above 80F. But they are not bleaching until they are very very close. Temp below canopy is very good. Making me thing twice about switching over to LED's. Think I'll try running the HPS over summer as well and see if it works.

The motherplant is terminated and Chronic seeds from Serious Seeds are on the way. Along with a pipe and a grinder, when I get it I'll sneak a small lower bud to try it out.

Take care, peace!

Forgot to mention, I tried to show that they are starting to get frosty in the last picture. I don't think I succeeded. But they sure are starting to look like sugar! :D

I know right?! And not only are they big, they are everywhere! At first I took all the little ones at the bottom off and threw them away, I've given up on that. The next day there's like 20 new ones... Hoping I'll pull some decent numbers on my first grow is increasing. I mean I got like, at least 4 weeks left!

Such a shame to let this one go... Stealth has it's price.

great looking plant lazyeye,be careful when stringing ,only looks like you will have to string 4-5 away from the light, try and bend them away from the light ,don't worry if they keep going up past the light as this is no massive problem, they will only get the final bud size higher from this point and a few inches of growth, sometimes the weight of the bud pulls them down a bit as well .i only string to the stalk and not around the bud itself as this could lead to mould growing in the centre's. also i string other stalks together if they look like they are falling down, but that's your call .
do not force them when stringing just move them, slightly bending them as you go .and don't clump them together they still need as much light as poss. good luck willyweed

So the plan was good, the execution was fucking terrible!

I almost made a total fuckup. I was going to lift the plant in the front out to get alot of room to work with the inner plant (the one with the tall bud). When I lifted it out all the branches basically fell apart like the legs of an old hooker! I panicked, and tried to tie it together, that didn't work so good...

After some emergency ties I put her back in, was impossible to get her like before. Made another emergency tie across the front poles of the tent, so that she wouldn't fall right out. I broke one branch, with a decent sized bud, irritates the hell out of me. But it will serve as a taste-bud.

Lesson learned, don't overdo it. Big pro when growing in tent, the branches can rest against the walls.

Enjoy some small budporn, peace.

Edit: Oh I forgot to mention, the smell is crazy when working with it. All of me reeks with ganja after diving in to the forest...

Yeah I guess. I think it's because I didn't have an oscillating fan at the start, still don't because I can't seem to figure out how to place it in the flowering chamber. I will have one for the next seeds that gets popped though. It's kind of alarming that they are so sensitive so early on, I hope they can manage the weight in the coming weeks.
