Good luck with the the holiday and you and yours stay safe Masa... :)

Bon Voyage-ee capn duder! :)

Pre-she-ate it lads, a lil extra mojo vibe from the crew never hurts.

Oh captain , my captain
Too bad ur not Gona make ur way to Cali side I'd love to send u home
With a hand full beans I just made up...(cross of mr nice and cherry pie)
My 2 favorite strains to date.. Doin my first run of them now
Got 3 in veg waitin to be a part of the new SOG

No mate, If I do return to the US it would have to be for a funeral,,,or a winning power ball ticket, and to tell ya the truth ,,,I wouldn't count on me showing up for the funeral.

Right on, Masa. Time to take a vacation from the island, lol. If your bro only knew how busy you were.
Hopefully 'civilization' doesn't raise your blood pressure.
Have a safe trip. If you can update from the road, that'd be even better...

wuz up dude ???
Thankfully where were going has only a small smidgen of civilization,, although traffic and driving there is like any other 3rd world country,, there are no real rules of the road,, its first come first serve at intersections that are loaded with cars truck jeepneys and trikes with an every now and then wealthy ass hole in a big SUV who couldn't drive his way out of a paper bag.

Its also where the organic farm is that SeaMaiden posted up a few weeks back, and for sure I'll get some good fotos of the place ,,,we'll be staying there for most of our visit, then the wife the boy and myself are off to a friends private beach resort where Sabuya plans on getting the full pampered treatment,,,in fact she's already lined up her itinerary of different baths , spas, massage and manicures......

And lets not forget,,,NeNe is there, her last day of school is Fri,,,I think were gonna leave here Sat evening on the out going tide,, takes 4-5 sometimes 6 days to get there, all open sea in a big ass boat made of plywood and timber, when the boy came along I got a Zodiac life raft in a canister just for these crossings,,never had to use ,,hope I never do,,,I can tread water for 3 days easy(been awhile) wife swims like a fish but no staying power and the boy is 3,,,,, so you can kiss my ass if Im gonna let my wife and boy down,,and I'll tell ya what thats also when "Mr Wonderful" makes his appearance cause my lil raft holds 2 people and a boy,,, not 3.

It's also where we'll be living when my old ass really gets old.
So for asking and helpin keep the thread alive,,,,, cause ive always said its pretty boring here most of the time,, i will make sure piks and stuff go up while were there,, and yea theres some big ass crocs there but dont go looking for me to go looking for one.

Yes, wish you a safe and uneventful trip on the boat. A wooden boat on the open sea can be nerve-wracking, but so long as you avoid storms it should be ok. It's not like the crew wants to go down either, so im sure they'll keep their boat in shape, or at least leak proof.
The raft in a canister sounds like an excellent idea - better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it.
What do you have for coms if you do get stranded?
Is Mr. Wonderful a 357 snubbie? That should deter any mutineers... :whiteflag:

Godspeed masa.
I just got back from a week in Puerto Morales Mexico with wife and two kids 8 and 11. Last year there was tornado in Dallas as we were supposed to be landing. Big holding pattern, line for bathroom, stay on plane because from Mexico have to clear customs, refuel in Houston with fire trucks because plane was full of people, fly again to Dallas, son fills 3 barf bags, miss connection stuck in Dallas 2 nights at our expense.
I am such a wuss.
At least you have weather maps were ever you go now. That is a real lifesaver.

Hello shipmates,,,,were baaaaaaack..

Holy smoke whata sweet trip this one has been,, life in the big city,,,or as big as it gets for Palawan..
And man has the place grown up,,,in a year they built a mall, 2 giant hardware stores(yes my favs) sorta like Lowes but with a lot of Euro style stuff,,one of which I got for the wife,,,an on demand hot water maker,,electric powered and only makes hot water when the machine is turned on,,,she dont know about it yet,,,got it buried in a mountain of other stuff, i'll put it in her shower area(somehow,,not sure how at the moment) got a weeks worth of stuff to do just to get the house back in order, and my power grid back to full power,,,(I NEED MORE POWER,,,,,IM GIVIN YA SHES GOT CAPTAIN,,,YER GONNA TEAR THE SHIP APART,,star trek 1972)
and I might be missin a few goats,,they always come to great us when we go away and the herd looks a lil light...........

HAGGY ME MAN,,,WOTS UP ?????? its a party now,,
Dam glad to hear from ya laddy....
Everyone ,,,this is my mate Hagiss, a dam fine ship mate if they ever was one,,,we go back a few years of cyber tokin, and to his credit,,,Haggs here is the only guy who said he was gonna seed me and did,,,took what?? 2 months or better to get here, and they were all auto seeds(haggs luvs his autos) and of the seeds only a few popped and i got 3 males:laughing:,, somewhere in the thread is the trials of the "autos".... Morning lad good to ear frum ya,,,,:bongsmi:
Hey I gotta ask,,,How'd yer wife like the pearls ?????

I wonder where he's gone for the vacation?.....Maybe Puerto Princessa?

....I have spent a lot of time on Palawan over the years.....wonderful place surrounded by about 1800 other islands....

Sweet Jezzus,,, Morning Gypsy,, yer first post here,, but Im gonna step out there and say you been at least looking in here from time to time, but either way thanks for giving the thread here a boost..

Yes,,,Puerto is where we've been the last few weeks,, didnt bother with El-nido this trip,,, to much travel time involved,,and as much as I hate to say it,,,we had "business" in PPC. The land grab there is like wild fire, the 5 bed 4 bath villa with gardens ponds and all the bullshit that goes with it 3-4 years ago could be bought for 2-3 million Peso($45.000) now sells for 5-6 million,,robinsons built a good size mall and traffic has gone off the charts,, they even got a movie theater,, cant figure out whos gonna do all the shopping and watch the movies,,,Palawan is still 80% dirt poor and to tell ya the truth a mall might not be the answer to economic reform, but it was fun to go inside for awhile and my wife did like the higher end clothing and shoes.. Its where we plan on ending up one day, so we got ours now,,,,some rice land in Roaxs, a coconut farm in Tinitian and the house we bought last year in Puerto..
Again,,,thanks for stopping in...

I hope he`s got the neighbour watering the plants , shutting the curtains & turning the lights on . Bet he comes back with a tan .

Ello m8t,,,a tan eh ???? shame ya cant see what i really looks like cause naked its kinda funny.
only part of me thats not brownish is my Butt and around front,,from above the knees to the waist,,, pretty white, so standing there its brown from the feet to the knees,,then white to the waist then brown to the top of my head,,Im 2 toned..

My wifes mom is the care taker when we leave, and she does a great job lookin after my plants and even more important,,,my dog.
There is a issue on the plants,, I got a look this morning (at first light) and noticed "dust" all over the leaves,, not thick,,but clinging to the leaves like a coating,,,(play evil theme music here) my wife was at her mom hut so i headed over there on a bit of a march to find out whats up with the dusty stuff.

Cicadas,,,,we have um year round but, couple times a year they come out in force and can really do some damage to what ever they decide to get to eating on, the "dusty " looking stuff is a mixture of stone dust,, dried neem tree bark and a few other things i didnt quite catch all mixed with water then used to water and cover the plants, when it dries it looks like my Aunts rose bushes after shes sprayed um with sevin, sorta stained but will wash off,,,plants look and smell fine, cept for the dusty stuff. wifes mom said she didnt now what else to do, after thay put the mix on the rice and corn she came over here and did mine,,,so theres a chance without it ida come home to and empty grow hut :tumbleweed:

Well alright masa, the worlds longest intro thread is running on all 6 again. Hey man, at least you tan - I just turn a progressively darker shade of pink. I always chalked it up to my Irish/English heritage, perhaps I was mistaken?

Either way, glad to see you and yours made it back sans sharkbites.

Hey masamaaso .....I have 6 hectares on the beach about an hour south of Puerto by truck, lived there for about 3 and a half years while I built 3 houses, fenced and gated it and had 2 kids with my GF....Harvested coconuts from about 700 trees every 3-4 months and built a prawn hatchery then purchased 9 hectares of fishpan not far from the land...

I was breeding dogs, mainly Rotts and Dobies, but after a while living in such a remote place started to be not such a good idea since my daughter was nearing school age and the incessant brown-outs and lack of internet capability started to bug me.....So we decided to move to a more comfortable location. The heat there can be real intense especially around this time of year....

My GF'S brother is still out there as the caretaker and he lives there with his wife and young daughter and once a year I fly over to visit....It is truly a beautiful place right on a white sand beach with pretty good fishing out on the Sulu Sea......and my time there was a great way to loose the stress of the life in the west that had been building up within me for years.....

Yes Puerto has got a lot busier since I first got there in 2006 the traffic is murder at most times of the day now.....shopping in the old NCCC mall was all there was as far as a half-way decent supermarket for years and I did check-out the new Robinson last year when I flew in....I got to know many in the ex-pat community there and made a few friends....

Back in 2006 I went to look at a 5 hectare island that was for sale just a kilometer from Roxas that the Mayor owned and nearly bought it with a friend for $400,000, but decided to purchase on the mainland instead.....

When I go back I usually stay at the Deep Forest Hotel in Puerto and have known the owner Peter for years....it's really quite a cool place....have you ever checked it out?

So,,,the stories I've heard are true..
This is pretty cool race fans,,pretty cool..
On this last trip we finalized the buying of another house in the city proper for rental and resale,,and it was this trip that got us talking about when we were going to move there permanently..
An hours south ya say ??? just past the "zig zag" ??? red roof ????.
Are we even sure we've never met in passing,, I hated nccc refused to even go inside,,, i'd rather sit in a sweltering van with the windows up...

Good to see that youre back, Masa!
Thought you'd be gone longer. Got any pics from your trip?
Thats great that your inlaw took care of your crop, and even used a natural pesticide to keep the locusts away.
You and Gypsy were almost beach neighbors. The internet's a small world...
