UPDATE WEEK 8

Transplanted them into 2 gal buckets. Nutes are pretty much at full strength.

EMERGENCY

OJD I need some assistance. I have noticed what looks like a calcium magnesium deficiency. The margins of the fan leaves are a rusty color and the leaf itself is crispy and brittle. I also noticed some red splotches on the smaller grandaddys, I also have noticed a calcium def.(red dots, very little though) on my La Confidential, but my c99s or any other hybrid I grew had this problem. Are these indica dominants whores for calmag? The nutes are already at full strength. PH - 5.8 PPMS about 1000. Should I go from 2ml to 3ml of the calmag?

How often are you watering since you use straight perlite? Are you feeding with 1000ppm ever watering? Looks like lockout or over feeding not a deficiency. Whats your ppm of your runoff?

Looks like the onset of a Mg deficiency. Grab some cal/mag or some Epsom Salts. Use the calmag at recommended dose on the bottle or the Epsom at 1tsp/gal when adding to your usual nute mix.

Easy fix so do t sweat it too hard ;)

Foliar feed!! It is the fastest way to get the right things to the plant. If there is a pH problem, dumping more into the soil zone will not help.

well i started to alternate between 5.8 and 6.1 so the magnesium wouldnt get locked out. seems to be working. picking up growth again

okay listen up peeps, been having a debate with oneself of wether to keep them in the 2 gallon buckets they are in OR put them in 3.5 gal buckets and veg for one more week making it 11 weeks veg before it will go into flower, what say you? I need some quick input here because harvest is on friday and that's when the flower tent will be available for the GDPs.

One would fear that yield would be compromised\rootbound issues may occur, yet then again since GDP is known to be short and squat and its root system does take a bit longer to grow out than any other strain that one had work with. So maybe it would make more sense to stick with the 2 gal?

Thanks in advance!

Id go with bigger pots and longer veg if you got the room the yields and overall size of buds will be worth it. You could veg them for week under 400hps and they would take off.

i guess im looking for an answer from someone whos done gdp or a similar indica. i guess if i transplant and go straight to flower would be fine since it takes a week for the plant to actually initiate flowering right?

ran granddoggypurp before and they had very little stretch. i wouldnt transplant then go straight to flower. Id give them at least week to grow roots in new pots. 1 week extra veg in larger pots will really up the yield compared to transplanting and flowering same day. When you harvest on Friday id put newly transplanted GDP under 400hps 18/6 for week then 12/12. They will really explode for you.

patience is a virtue and this hobby has really taught oneself to have plenty of it. if they had beeb veggin for 10 weeks, then one more week doesnt really make a difference as far as patience go. who knows maybe these ladies will have a moderate yield.
